I have experience caring for foster dogs and cats, including 6 Rottweiler/pug puppies, an adult Rottweiler, about 7 cats, and a mixed breed HoundDog. I also have experience handling large dogs including a 70 pound Pitbull/American Bulldog mix, and her sister, who while smaller is a big puller! I can’t say enough good things about Shannon. I came to her with a little bit of an odd request—more like an evening of babysitting our pup than a traditional dog sit. Happy is 5 months old and full of energy. And also still learning how to behave in someone else’s house. We were staying with our daughter and her family so we could attend a family wedding in a different city than where we live. I looked on Rover and found this woman with years of experience as a certified dog sitter, who seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. I thought she would not be overwhelmed by a 5-month-old golden retriever pup. So I reached out to Shannon long distance and she was right there with all the good questions and suggestions about how to make my plan work. Shannon even came to my daughter’s house the day before the wedding just to meet Happy and give me a chance to share any additional details. Her skill and kindness with Happy made the whole evening stress-free for all of us. It was a dream dog sit.
