“Shannon was absolutely amazing with our 5 year old pitty. She was so thorough at our meet and greet over Quintley’s routine and needs. Shannon was there twice during the day at exactly the time we asked for. She kept me updated with messages and pictures. Her communication is fabulous. There was no question that our pup was in great hands. I highly recommend her and will definitely use her again. The absolute best!!”

About: Hi! My name is Ava, and I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I have volunteered with local animal shelters, adopted and trained three dogs of my own, and fostered multiple dogs over the years. Through these experiences, I’ve become comfortable working with everything from energetic puppies to senior pets who need a little extra patience and care. I also have experience administering a variety of medications and understand the importance of following care instructions closely to keep pets happy, healthy, and comfortable while their families are away. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, cuddles, medication, or simply a reliable companion, I would love the opportunity to care for them as if they were my own. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel safe, comfortable, and stress-free while you're apart. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members!!! I am currently working part-time so I am pretty open for all your pet needs! I enjoy adding walking into my routine and would love to have company!! When caring for pets in a client's home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent as possible so they feel comfortable and secure while their family is away. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, walks, medications, exercise, and any special needs or preferences.

About: I have doggy sense: I know how to give space when needed and dogs warm up quick! Doggos are like babies, love em so much I have my own fur baby (7 year old bully), I'm used to giving doggos lots of care. I make sure he potties and eats when needed! Treats included! I spoil the fur babies, if allowed. I am very very careful to make sure they never escape. I am very empathetic. I care for others' dogs the way I love mine
“Anthony was amazing my dog was perfectly cared for. He was really good with and extremely kind. Kept me up to date with everything that was happing with my dog and would always ask if there was anything he needed to do extra. Would highly recommend and will most definitely use again.”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have always had a dog of my own. I genuinely love animals and understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs. I’m comfortable with walks, feeding, playtime, bathing, giving plenty of attention, and keeping pets safe and comfortable. I treat every dog like family and take pride in being patient, dependable, and attentive to their individual needs. Pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine because I have a dog of my own. I’m used to making time for walks, feeding, playtime, and giving my dog plenty of attention and care. I’m active and enjoy spending time outdoors, so adding walks and pet visits into my routine is something I genuinely enjoy rather than see as a chore. I care for pets with the same patience, attention, and respect I give my own dog. In a client’s home, I follow their pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, and any special instructions they provide. I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away, and I always leave their home clean and secure.
“Kat is a true animal whisperer. She took excellent care of my two senior cats and even got my shy girl to come out of her favorite hiding spot for some cuddles. Trustworthy, reliable and communicative. I recommend her highly!”

“Amanda was amazing with my two pups! She was super attentive and made sure they were taken care of. Gave me the ease of mind knowing they were loved while I was at work! Will definitely have her again! 😊”

About: I’ve been trusted to care for dogs through family, friends, and neighbors over the years. From daily walks to overnight stays, I’ve gained experience making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I’ve cared for dogs of different personalities and energy levels — whether it’s giving them plenty of exercise or just keeping them company at home. I treat every dog as if they were my own, and I pride myself on being reliable, patient, and attentive to their needs. I work from home full-time, which gives me a very flexible schedule. On the days I’m available, I have the freedom to provide walks, playtime, and enrichment throughout the day. Whether your pup needs a quick potty break, extra exercise, or just some company, I can adjust to their routine and make sure they’re well cared for. I live in a first-floor condo that’s fully dog-proofed, so pets can relax and explore safely without worry of injury. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and will always have a cozy space to feel at home. Since I work from home, I can keep a close eye on them throughout the day, making sure they’re safe, comfortable, and getting the attention they deserve. Whether at my place or yours, I treat every pet like family and make their well-being my top priority. I don’t have any pets in the apartment so there will be no conflicts with another animal.

I have ability to private play (i call them red collar doggies) your loved one if it is in pet/pet owners best interest. “Nicole did a fantastic job caring for our two cats (and our apartment) over the holidays! She was prompt and provided communicative updates. It’s easy to tell that she loves animals! Thanks Nicole!”
“Emily is amazing! She met my dog the day before his walk/feeding to help get acquainted with him and I showed her where all of his things are. Which I really appreciated. She texted me updates and confirmed details about the visit. She was so sweet and empathetic towards Mylo. I am thankful for her availability since my schedule is so busy. Overall 10/10. We are thankful to have her as our new dog walker :)”

About: As a veterinary technician and proud dog mom of two Cavaliers, I understand how important it is to find someone reliable for your pets. With years of hands-on experience and a genuine love for animals, I make sure each dog or cat feels safe, happy, and cared for—just like they do at home When I’m not at the veterinary clinic, I love spending my extra time caring for pets in my community. “Bianca stepped in at the last minute over a weekend to help walk my labradoodle- she was responsive, communicated well and was just a pleasure to work with. I will definitely use her services again.”

“We had such a great experience with Kethely! She took wonderful care of our kitty while we were away and gave us so much peace of mind the entire trip. We really appreciated all the updates, photos, and the genuine care and attention she gave him. It made being away from him so much less stressful knowing he was in such good hands. We will and have booked with Kethely again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter 😊! Thank you so much Kethely!”

“This was a repeat booking with Joseph, he was really helpful in letting us know the litter looked low and bringing in the new bag I ordered. He always went the extra mile to try to find our kitty and make her comfortable.”

About: Hey! I’m Connor. I'm a Firefighter/EMT with pet CPR and First Aid certification. I live in my own home in a quiet suburban neighborhood with a large, securely fenced backyard. Both the house and yard were recently redone, so everything is safe, clean, and ready for your pet. During meals, all dogs are separated, and the home is kept neat, hazard-free, and even safe for those expert counter surfers! The space can also be easily divided if dogs need a little personal time. If you're looking for someone responsible and experienced who can handle whatever situations pets throw your way - you've found the right person. The two priorities for your dog's stay will be safety and plenty of photo and video updates so you always know they're doing great! I live with my yellow Lab, Kygo. He's super friendly, loves to play with all our visitors, and knows when to give space if another dog needs it. My cousin Patrick also lives here, so there's always someone home to keep an eye on your pup. I've raised many well-trained dogs over the years, mostly Labs, using positive reinforcement and lots of patience instead of harsh discipline. I have been watching dogs for many years now and I'm also well aware of the curveballs watching dogs can throw at you. As a firefighter I'm always over the top careful about things and it's no different when it comes to my dogs. So if any medical issues or situations pop up I'll be sure to have vet and medical info from you in advance so we can make sure your dog is taken care of. I am very familiar with the 24/7 vets in the area and their different specialties should something require immediate attention. I'll do my best to keep your dog's routine as close to home as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, and any special instructions. There are plenty of supervised group play sessions in the backyard, balanced with time to relax indoors. I'll make sure you're always kept up to date by sending plenty of pictures and updates, and I always respond promptly to texts and calls. I know it's nervewracking leaving your pet with a new person, so feel free to stop by the house to meet Kygo and me and see the yard. Looking forward to working with you and meeting your pet! I am often available for last minute bookings as well as weekends and holidays. So if the need arises so feel free to put in any last minute or holiday requests. Pets are always fed, given water, and walked and any special instructions provided by owner are taken care of. Directions always clarified to make sure we're on same page. Have worked with plenty of dogs with allergies and preventive measures taken with dogs that require extra attention!

Claire cared for my 2 dogs in our home for a full week with 2 drop ins per day. Daily pics and comments on how things were going gave me peace of mind while I was away and Claire handled the visits like a pro- she is reliable and caring. My dogs loved Claire’s visits!
Finding Theresa to cat-sit my two furbabies was a blessing. I’m so happy and at ease with her watching my cats! She is prompt with responses and is thorough in her care. She was able to accommodate a last-minute trip and come for a meet and greet very quickly. My cats loved her immediately, and it is evident that she cares for them as well. She made sure to get all their feeding routines down, played with them, and even cleaned the litter box. She has a real sense for cats and was able to connect with their unique personalities. :) I highly recommend Theresa if you are looking for a reliable, thorough, loving, and trustworthy pet sitter. I will definitely be booking with her again!

Shabazz was absolutely wonderful taking care of our cat while we were away! He was extremely reliable, followed all feeding and care instructions, and sent the cutest photo updates and detailed notes during every visit. Shabazz went above and beyond and i could tell my kitty was a happy kitty. I definitely recommend him and will book again!

Kerry Ann helped us out with drop in visits while we were away for our senior dog. Kerry Ann was prompt, arriving when we agreed upon, staying the full drop in time length and keeping us informed with detailed Rover cards. My dog is a bit shy and slower at his age. Kerry Ann took her time with him and made him feel comfortable and also followed all instructions we left. I would highly recommend her. She seems to really love dogs in general which is a plus when you are leaving your beloved pet in their care.

This is the second time Emily has petsit for my 2 cats. As always she was amazing. My first experience was back in February when I had to go on an extended work trip for 10 days. Emily was amazing and my 2 cats warmed right up to her. She took such great care of them. She went above and beyond even making it to take care of them during the blizzard. I cannot recommend Emily enough. She will love your pets like they are her own making sure their needs are met while giving lots of play time and cuddles. She even got my extremely timid cat to take her medicine twice a day- an amazing feat!! Her updates and communication were thorough and put me at ease while I was away. I highly recommend her to everyone in the area and will be booking her for my future pet sitting needs.

Again, I cannot recommend Emma enough as a sitter for our two dogs. She always shows great concern for them, pays close attention to every detail, and keeps us consistently informed of their status with photos and updates. We have complete confidence with our dogs in Emma's care

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
