About: What sets me apart is my ability to be both caring and dependable in moments that require real attentiveness—something I’ve developed through years of working in community programs, internships, and leadership roles. Whether I was leading a team project, supporting a friend, or organizing events through my cycling club, I’ve always been someone who shows up fully and handles responsibility with care. I bring that same energy to pet care—tuning into each animal’s needs, whether it’s keeping up with an energetic puppy or being patient with a senior pet. I’m calm, communicative, and take pride in making both pets and their owners feel secure and understood. As a recent grad preparing for law school and transitioning into the workforce, my schedule is relatively flexible—especially during the weekdays. Pet care has been a grounding and fulfilling part of my routine. It gives me the chance to stay active, present, and connected in a meaningful way while balancing studying and professional goals. I genuinely enjoy the rhythm of it, and I treat every booking with the same level of care and responsibility I bring to my academic and work commitments. Whether I’m in my home or yours, I treat every pet like they’re my own. I love making sure everyone—pets and people—feels comfortable, safe, and at ease. That’s something I’ve really practiced through leading Catching Wind, the cycling and wellness club I started in college. Creating a space where people felt welcomed, supported, and looked after—whether they were riding for the first time or just needed community—taught me a lot about patience, attentiveness, and how to care for different needs. I bring that same approach to pet care. I listen closely, follow instructions, respect your space, and aim to create an environment where your pet feels loved, relaxed, and understood.
“Veronica was awesome once again! Our kitties love her and she goes above and beyond every time. Gives the cats attention and play when they come out, keeps the cat areas of the house very clean, administers their meds. Great communication and photos, and even was able to keep our cats taken care of with an injury this time. Highly recommend her and will be looking for her again next time our kitties need some love while we are out of town.”

About: I have over 5 years of experience caring for pets and have always had a genuine love for animals. I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, routines, and needs. I can help with feeding, walks, playtime, litter care, and plenty of attention and affection. I’m patient, responsible, and understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pet. I’ll always treat your pets with the same love and care I’d give my own. I am a student at Seton Hall University! I work only two days a week so I have free time very early :) and up to very late! I care for every pet based on their individual routine, personality, and needs. In a client’s home, I make sure they’re comfortable in their familiar environment by following their normal feeding, walking, playtime, and bathroom routines. I also give them plenty of attention, affection, and companionship while keeping their space clean and safe. I’m happy to follow any special instructions so your pet feels loved and cared for while you’re away.
“Amanda was amazing with my two pups! She was super attentive and made sure they were taken care of. Gave me the ease of mind knowing they were loved while I was at work! Will definitely have her again! 😊”

“With Jennifer we felt like we were in good hands from start to finish. Friendly and highly experienced - she even managed to get a photo of our ridiculously shy cat, which speaks volumes. Highly recommended, will definitely use again next time we go away, such great peace of mind.”

“Shirley did a fantastic job looking after our three kitties. She was very responsive and communicative. I highly recommend her, and I would absolutely use her again.”

About: I've been the go-to catsitter among my family and friends since elementary school ! I've worked with indoor cats, outdoor cats, spicy cats, and kittens. I can adjust to your cat's every need ! Though I've mainly cared for cats, I also have experience with more exotic pets like fish, geckos, and tarantulas. I have a 30gal fish tank of my own ! I don't have another job at the moment, so I am available at any time. I will update days of unavailability as soon as possible. I'm very patient so if your pet isn't very trusting of new people, that's okay ! On the flipside, if your pet wants a friend then I can stick around !
About: I have experience dog sitting for a month twice so my family and friends could go on vacation abroad and for my coworker for a week! I walked, played with, fed, and made their dogs feel comfortable. I also texted pictures and updates every other day, and reach out to them if I ever had any questions or anything came up! I'm very responsive and dependable! Feel free to reach out! Im working full time; I’m available for walks after 3pm. I can also be a sitter any day of the week, if I’m notified in advanced. I make sure dogs are comfortable by getting to know me, playing with them, and also sending timely updates to owners. Happy to walk them in their favorite route.

About: I’ve taken care of my own dogs all my life, such as walking, feeding or bathing them. I have also taken care of my neighbors cat for feeding. I have some jobs as a soccer coach but have a lot of experience with dogs since I have lived with them my whole life. Usually I will do what they tell me to do for their pet, such as walking, feeding or bathing I can also do if needed.
About: As a veterinary technician and proud dog mom of two Cavaliers, I understand how important it is to find someone reliable for your pets. With years of hands-on experience and a genuine love for animals, I make sure each dog or cat feels safe, happy, and cared for—just like they do at home When I’m not at the veterinary clinic, I love spending my extra time caring for pets in my community. With flexible availability during the week and weekends, I’m here to make sure your pets are safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I make sure every walk is secure, every visit is calm, and every animal feels loved and cared for. With experience in a veterinary clinic and as a dog mom myself, I know how to create a safe and happy environment for every pet I meet.
About: Hey! I’m Connor. I'm a Firefighter/EMT with pet CPR and First Aid certification. I live in my own home in a quiet suburban neighborhood with a large, securely fenced backyard. Both the house and yard were recently redone, so everything is safe, clean, and ready for your pet. During meals, all dogs are separated, and the home is kept neat, hazard-free, and even safe for those expert counter surfers! The space can also be easily divided if dogs need a little personal time. If you're looking for someone responsible and experienced who can handle whatever situations pets throw your way - you've found the right person. The two priorities for your dog's stay will be safety and plenty of photo and video updates so you always know they're doing great! I live with my yellow Lab, Kygo. He's super friendly, loves to play with all our visitors, and knows when to give space if another dog needs it. My cousin Patrick also lives here, so there's always someone home to keep an eye on your pup. I've raised many well-trained dogs over the years, mostly Labs, using positive reinforcement and lots of patience instead of harsh discipline. I have been watching dogs for many years now and I'm also well aware of the curveballs watching dogs can throw at you. As a firefighter I'm always over the top careful about things and it's no different when it comes to my dogs. So if any medical issues or situations pop up I'll be sure to have vet and medical info from you in advance so we can make sure your dog is taken care of. I am very familiar with the 24/7 vets in the area and their different specialties should something require immediate attention. I'll do my best to keep your dog's routine as close to home as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, and any special instructions. There are plenty of supervised group play sessions in the backyard, balanced with time to relax indoors. I'll make sure you're always kept up to date by sending plenty of pictures and updates, and I always respond promptly to texts and calls. I know it's nervewracking leaving your pet with a new person, so feel free to stop by the house to meet Kygo and me and see the yard. Looking forward to working with you and meeting your pet! I am often available for last minute bookings as well as weekends and holidays. So if the need arises so feel free to put in any last minute or holiday requests. Pets are always fed, given water, and walked and any special instructions provided by owner are taken care of. Directions always clarified to make sure we're on same page. Have worked with plenty of dogs with allergies and preventive measures taken with dogs that require extra attention!

About: I’ve cared for my Samoyed since she was a puppy in 2023 and my Aussie doodle since she was a puppy in 2024. Growing up I have always enjoyed the outdoors and animals, so dog walking was always fun for me and the dogs I walked. I am switching careers at the moment and looking for alternatives to the 9-5. I wake up early and can start walking by 6am, I can do walks up till 7pm. I will follow the rules of your house if I check in on your dogs. Most importantly, making sure I lock up and close any doors I enter to make sure your dogs are safely secured at home.

“This is the 3rd time Trisha has taken care of our precious pets. She continues to go above and beyond. This time she alerted us of a health issue and went to the vet to obtain the medication. By the time we came back, our doggie was all better.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Millburn
Jennie was wonderful in caring for our kitties. We have 3 inside and 1 outside. She was timely and thorough with her communication and sent many photos! On one visit, she noticed that the water fountain for the cats wasn’t working so she alerted me. I was able to troubleshoot shoot it with her and she was able to get it running again. Jennie is very professional and caring. We would highly recommend Jennie.

Finding Theresa to cat-sit my two furbabies was a blessing. I’m so happy and at ease with her watching my cats! She is prompt with responses and is thorough in her care. She was able to accommodate a last-minute trip and come for a meet and greet very quickly. My cats loved her immediately, and it is evident that she cares for them as well. She made sure to get all their feeding routines down, played with them, and even cleaned the litter box. She has a real sense for cats and was able to connect with their unique personalities. :) I highly recommend Theresa if you are looking for a reliable, thorough, loving, and trustworthy pet sitter. I will definitely be booking with her again!

Shabazz was absolutely wonderful taking care of our cat while we were away! He was extremely reliable, followed all feeding and care instructions, and sent the cutest photo updates and detailed notes during every visit. Shabazz went above and beyond and i could tell my kitty was a happy kitty. I definitely recommend him and will book again!

Bianca was amazing while my husband and I were away! She was so prompt and followed all our instructions perfectly. She also showed us so much love, care, and patience, especially with our three dachshunds—especially our little guy, who was a bit anxious and timid at first. Dachshunds, especially three, can be a bit of a challenge and can get a little chaotic, but she handled all three with such compassion. She even offered some alternative options when scheduling conflicts came up. Thanks again, Bianca! We’re already looking forward to booking with you again :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
