About: What sets me apart is the genuine care and understanding I bring to every pet. As a psychology student, I’ve developed strong skills in observing behavior, recognizing body language, and responding with patience and empathy. While animal behavior and human psychology aren’t the same, those skills help me better understand each pet’s unique personality and comfort level. I’ve also grown up surrounded by animals and have always helped care for my family’s pets. I’m a proud dog and cat owner myself. I’ve raised my dog since she was a puppy, so I understand the time, consistency, and love that goes into helping a pet feel safe and happy. I also care for my cat, which has taught me to appreciate different personalities and care needs. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and my goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I am currently working a part-time job and I’m looking for an another job on my days off doing something that I love. Sticking to their exact routine such as feeding schedules and bathroom habits exercise and medications to minimize stress and always communicating regularly with the owners.

About: I’ve had two dogs! My first dog was a Maltese named Rocky. He passed away in 2017 from lymphoma. 💔 Right now, I have a 9-year-old terrier mix named Lila! She’s full of energy and loves running around the yard, going for walks, and playing fetch with her toys. I’ve been helping take care of my family’s & friends dogs since I was a little girl, and I’ve always loved dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and personalities. 🥰 I’m currently in the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program at FDU. I started in May, and the program is 15 months long, so I’ll be graduating in September 2027. My classes are a mix of online and in-person, but I’m generally available all day on Monday, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays to house sit and available Tuesdays and Thursdays for drop-ins and walks! Whether your dog needs a walk, a trip to the park, someone to play with, or just a buddy to relax with on the couch, I’m happy to help! I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, love, and care while you’re away. Just let me know what you need, and I’d be happy to make it happen. 😊

With years of hands-on experience and a genuine love for animals, I make sure each dog or cat feels safe, happy, and cared for—just like they do at home When I’m not at the veterinary clinic, I love spending my extra time caring for pets in my community. With flexible availability during the week and weekends, I’m here to make sure your pets are safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I make sure every walk is secure, every visit is calm, and every animal feels loved and cared for. About: What sets me apart is my ability to be both caring and dependable in moments that require real attentiveness—something I’ve developed through years of working in community programs, internships, and leadership roles. Whether I was leading a team project, supporting a friend, or organizing events through my cycling club, I’ve always been someone who shows up fully and handles responsibility with care. I bring that same energy to pet care—tuning into each animal’s needs, whether it’s keeping up with an energetic puppy or being patient with a senior pet. I’m calm, communicative, and take pride in making both pets and their owners feel secure and understood. As a recent grad preparing for law school and transitioning into the workforce, my schedule is relatively flexible—especially during the weekdays. Pet care has been a grounding and fulfilling part of my routine. It gives me the chance to stay active, present, and connected in a meaningful way while balancing studying and professional goals. I genuinely enjoy the rhythm of it, and I treat every booking with the same level of care and responsibility I bring to my academic and work commitments. Whether I’m in my home or yours, I treat every pet like they’re my own. I love making sure everyone—pets and people—feels comfortable, safe, and at ease. That’s something I’ve really practiced through leading Catching Wind, the cycling and wellness club I started in college. Creating a space where people felt welcomed, supported, and looked after—whether they were riding for the first time or just needed community—taught me a lot about patience, attentiveness, and how to care for different needs. I bring that same approach to pet care. I listen closely, follow instructions, respect your space, and aim to create an environment where your pet feels loved, relaxed, and understood.

About: I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. My hands-on experience started in 2015 with my cat Mittens (now 10) and my dog Fluffy (also 10), so I understand the long-term care and attention pets need at every stage of life. In addition to caring for my own pets, I worked at an animal hospital for a year and a half, where I gained valuable experience in animal care. This included feeding pets with special diets, following specific care instructions, and supporting animals with different needs. My combination of personal and professional experience helps me provide attentive, reliable, and compassionate care for every pet I look after! I am currently home for the summer from college would like to dedicate my afternoons to my future furry friends! I am flexible, so if there is any shifting/accommodations that has to happen that is fine. I care for pets in my client’s home by making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and kept in their normal routine while their owner is away. I follow all specific instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, dietary needs, medication if needed, and exercise routines. I also make sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and affection so they don’t feel stressed or lonely. I treat each home with respect and keep everything clean. I will always provide updates so owners feel reassured while they’re away--I know what its like to miss my pets too!

Animals have always held a special place in my heart and I truly believe every pet deserves to feel loved, safe, and happy even when their favorite humans are away. Every pet has their own unique personality, and I enjoy taking the time to get to know what makes them happiest. I will be home with them at all times so if they have a favorite game or simply enjoy chill company I will gladly do whatever makes them most comfortable! I also do drop ins! Just let me know what your pet routine is and I’ll take it from there. If it’s to feed or even let them out I’ll make sure they get what they need and send a farewell picture :D

About: I’ve been pet sitting for over 2 years and truly love caring for animals. Along with my experience providing overnight care, I currently work as a veterinary assistant, where I care for both dogs and cats in a professional setting. Working in vet medicine has helped me become comfortable with pets of all ages, sizes, personalities, and needs, including senior pets and anxious animals. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and routine to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I work full time, so I fit pet care around my work schedule. I’m available on weekends and some Thursdays, which I’ve listed in my availability. I make sure to plan ahead so I can be consistent and give pets proper care and attention when I’m with them. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their normal routine as closely as possible to help the pet feel comfortable and secure. I make sure they are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get walks and bathroom breaks, and receive plenty of attention and playtime. I also keep their environment clean and safe and follow any specific instructions provided by the owner.

Bianca was amazing while my husband and I were away! She was so prompt and followed all our instructions perfectly. She also showed us so much love, care, and patience, especially with our three dachshunds—especially our little guy, who was a bit anxious and timid at first. Dachshunds, especially three, can be a bit of a challenge and can get a little chaotic, but she handled all three with such compassion. She even offered some alternative options when scheduling conflicts came up. Thanks again, Bianca! We’re already looking forward to booking with you again :)

As of July 2026, there are 27,302 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Irvington. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Irvington stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Irvington. On Rover:

  • 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
