“Just lost our dog a couple weeks ago, so it's my first time to look for daycare for Milan. I contacted Jessica and was able to schedule a meet and greet that same day. Milan stayed with them today for the first time, and she seems to have enjoyed herself. She was very quiet in the car and asleep now. Those, to me, are signs of a tired dog! Jessica has been very responsive, accommodating, and flexible. Milan is booked again for next week. Looking forward to it!”

“Andria is a wonderful pet sitter! We felt very comfortable leaving our dog with her and truly appreciated all the updates she shared during his stay. Her fenced backyard is perfect for dogs to safely explore and enjoy their time. We will absolutely be using her services again—highly recommend!”

“Great experience! Our energetic standard poodle pup was treated well and had fun with Manuel. Pick up and drop off was very convenient We look forward to using Manuel’s services again in the future!”

About: I am a semi-retired mom who has raised puppies from birth up until their senior years. I have taken puppy obedience classes while volunteering at animal shelters and have learned to adapt to different personalities of animals especially in different and new environments, which we all know can be stressful for some of our pets! I only work one day a week so I have tons of time to look after and take care of your pets! I can walk them during the day and board them any day of the week as long as you need. I have a fenced in yard, 3 dog parks within 5 minutes of our home and tons of fresh tennis balls and chew toys. I have a variety of treats ranging from dental chews to promote good dental health and organic treats with vitamins to help with their joints/make their coats nice and is easy on the stomach. We have tons of extra clean and cozy pet beds, pillows, and stuffed animals. I live in a clean and smoke free environment for your pet during their stay!
“Jhajanny was a huge help and took great care of my pup while i had to work in town during the weekend. He loved her so much that he rushed to get into her house and didn’t look back when I dropped him off the second day. We’ll definitely be back if we are in the area.”

“She was truly amazing and took great care of shilo . She was wonderful with her communication and kept us updated the entire time with pictures and videos . He came back a very happy boy.”

“She was very caring and loving towards my doggie. She was able to provide a morning walk and a short afternoon walk which made my doggie very happy . She communicated with me throughout the day and send me pictures ! I also love how she was able to map out the area, time, and length when she took my dog out for a walk !! She is the best !”

“We had a wonderful experience with Anna! Duke had an amazing time at her place and absolutely loved spending the day with their dog Theo. Anna is incredibly caring and attentive to the dogs in her care. She was very mindful of Duke’s needs and made sure he was comfortable throughout the day. We especially appreciated the frequent updates, pictures, and videos — it was so reassuring to see how happy and relaxed Duke was. We would absolutely trust Anna with Duke again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful and loving sitter.”

“Amazing sitter and host for our cockapoo. We received updates throughout the stay and our dog was walked multiple times throughout the day! A lot of photos too throughout the day which is amazing! Thank you!”

About: ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. My first dog — Lucy, a Border Collie I had when I was 11 back in Shanghai, China — was my best friend for 16 years. Alongside her, I cared for a rescued stray cat "Noji" and an adopted poodle "Bebe" when I was 13, which taught me patience, responsibility, policing different pets, and how to understand different pet personalities. After moving to the U.S. for school, I brought home my baby Corgi "Brioche" in 2020. She’s now a 5-year-old certified service dog who’s friendly, well-trained, and walked three times a day for at least 30 minutes each time. I also helped train and kept a baby Devon Rex cat for my family in 2025. What sets me apart is my lifelong, hands-on experience with pets of different breeds, ages, and temperaments — from energetic puppies to senior dogs. I love fur babies more than anything and always prioritize their comfort, safety, and happiness. I will be working part time starting summer 2026 in NYC, so my schedule is flexible, I'm available for daily walks, boarding both weekdays and weekends. I live in a 2 bedroom in FiDi close to battery park city. There are no crates and my corgi was never crate-trained. I don't have indoor pet potty so I almost only take my dog out for potty unless the weather is crazy. I have plenty of dog beds and toys.

“Champ had the greatest day with Eunice and her family! He ran around the yard, played with her dog and got so many cuddles! I can always tell what kind of day he’s had when I pick him up and he was happy as can be! Plus lots of amazing pics throughout the day. Highly recommend Eunice!”
“Jinghong is a very caring sitter. My dog Bacon fell in love with her starting from meet and greet. Bacon was well taken care of, and I really appreciated the updates and photos. It was obvious he was happy and comfortable during his stay. Thank you for treating him with such care—I would absolutely book with you again and highly recommend you to others!”

“Was such a blessing and relief to have you both take care of my baby girl. This was her first experience being babysat by strangers and she absolutely loved it! She came home and rested all evening. Thank you so much for spoiling her.”

“Alessandra was absolutely amazing with Dottie! As a young puppy, I was a little nervous leaving her, but Alessandra made me feel completely at ease from the start. She kept me updated with plenty of pictures and messages, and was always very informative about how Dottie was doing throughout her stay. It was clear that Dottie was getting lots of love, attention, and great care, and I really appreciated how communicative Alessandra was the entire time. Knowing Dottie was happy and in such good hands gave me so much peace of mind. I couldn’t be happier with our experience and will definitely be booking with Alessandra again. Doug is excellent with my anxious senior dog. He is very communicative and makes sure my dog is well cared for. My dog has separation anxiety and it’s been great having a place for my dog to go and socialize/spend time outdoors in the back yard. My dog even spent the night once and did great. I highly recommend Doug!

Andrew was very accommodating and flexible with accepting Gabbie with short notice and timing. He was very transparent and helpful in conversations. He gave a tour of where Gabbie will be staying, which made us feel very comfortable. And he shared photos and messaged us throughout the day. Definitely recommend and would reach out again!
It was Kingston's first time staying with someone other than me, and I couldn't be more grateful that I found Caroline. She made the entire experience stress-free from the very beginning by arranging a meet-and-greet before his stay to ensure Kingston would be comfortable with her and acclimated to the other dogs. Throughout his stay, Caroline was incredibly responsive and kept me updated with plenty of photos and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. I highly recommend Caroline to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and attentive dog sitter. Kingston will definitely be staying with her again whenever we need daycare or boarding!

Thank you as always Jullien for taking great care of Miso. I love getting the recap at the end of the day with all of your walks, potty breaks and pictures of playing time. Jullien really goes above and beyond with our puppy and she always comes home happy and sleepy 🐶

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
