About: I spent the past 4 years running a successful dog-watching business in NYC with my partner. We have since relocated to Northern NJ and intend to provide the same high quality services for pets here. I grew up with animals - dogs, rabbits, birds, mice, turtles and fish. I would’ve had cats too if members of my family weren’t so allergic. As a teen I volunteered with friends at our local animal shelter and chose to work with the cat population because most of the volunteers wanted to walk the dogs. Most recently I trained my own dog - starting from when she was 6 weeks old. I used a combination of training techniques (including crate training) to successfully potty-train her, teach her to walk on a leash and eventually teach her to hike and run together off-leash. My dog is now 3 years old and I bring her to my grandmother’s assisted living facility. She interacts with and plays appropriately with other dogs, pets, adults and children of all ages. She is a secure dog and adaptable to any environment. I believe my dog’s calm and friendly demeanor is a direct reflection of my skills. I’m prepared to handle dogs across the spectrum of sizes and energy levels. I live close to many beautiful parks and trails, some with dedicated areas for dog-play. I will closely follow any instructions you have for feeding, exercising, sleeping and socializing your precious pet. I work part-time from home and set my own schedule so I am able to dedicate the appropriate time and attention to your pet easily. I will treat your pet like part of my family if they stay with me. I have a very calming presence that animals seem to react really well too. I am happy to watch your pet at your place if that works best. About: I’ve taken care of mine and my family’s dogs for the last three years, and already have a spacious home with a backyard set up for them. I provide constant attention and support to them since I am retired. I am a retired teacher, so I am always home to take care of your furry friend. My schedule is very flexible, perfect to accommodate your pet. I have a fenced in yard, and live very close to a lark park with a fenced-in dog park. I have a four year old chiweenie who gets along with all dogs and cats, and is very quiet. Gidget will be happy to have a friend to play with!

I said goodbye to my rescue Westie of almost 17 years during 2025, and I’m not ready for another long-term pet commitment yet. I puppy trained her (with trainer) from 4 months and provided senior care for the last few years. I am very patient when meeting new animal souls, allowing them to come to me when they’re ready. I have been taking shelter dogs on Afternoon Adventures and have been successful with helping to train dogs in my care. I am working part time and have a flexible schedule, and now that I'm pet-less, I am available, even on short notice. I have been going on walks/hikes in our beautiful parks (over 2 miles) and would prefer some four-legged company. I am very good at following your instructions, respectful of routines and choices you make, and sensitive to furry companions' needs. I'll send you lots of pics! I will board low-maintenance/energy pets in my home, not puppies or kittens.

Nights are more easier to accept due to my work schedule as a therapist. Let me know and I can work with you! I have a doggy park. I have cages if a dog wants a lone time from other dogs/pets. I have a balcony if it is raining for air and sun. I am available before 7 and after 4:30 usually for drop off on weekdays. I am flexible on weekends. We can accommodate times if told in advance. There is a fenced dog park across the street. The dogs slept separately all day besides during play time. We have cameras inside the house and outside the front door.
