About: I always take into account the priorities of the pet owner to ensure that I give the best care to their pets. I want to provide the best care for them so I ask detailed questions. That way the pets are getting the best care possible! I am currently in grad school full time and not working, so this will be my only other priority. I can be flexible as long as I have a day's worth of notice I ask detailed questions in order to ensure that I take care of the pets as per the owner's request. That way both of us are on the same page.
About: Hello! I’m a recent college grad, born and raised in the MAPSO area who recently moved back home, for work in NYC! Im here looking to make long term business partnerships and connections doing what I love most, being around animals. While I am new to Rover I’m no stranger to pet care, helping take care of my family cat and dog since childhood, with our beloved dog Molly going on 15 years! I have experience caring for foster dogs and cats, including 6 Rottweiler/pug puppies, an adult Rottweiler, about 7 cats, and a mixed breed HoundDog. In addition I’ve both dog and cat sit in house for a handful of neighbors and family friends, so I’m experienced in feedings, walks, and administering medicine. I also have experience handling large dogs including a 70 pound Pitbull/American Bulldog mix, and her sister, who while smaller is a big puller! I’m very comfortable with dogs and cats of all sizes, temperaments, and ages, and would love to meet your furry family member !🐾 I’m currently working in part time 1-6 on weekdays, commuting from Maplewood NJ to Harlem NYC. I’m therefore able to do morning or evening walks in the city/MAPSO area, along with overnight stays during the week . My weekends are pretty much completely open to walks anytime of the day along with overnight stays. I offer in house care to my clients whether this be overnight or just coming in for walks and so socialization. I’m very mindful of your space and keeping this clean and as they were when I came, and am willing to work around your level of comfortability!
About: Cant think of time where I haven’t been around a dog. Growing up there was always dogs in the house. It comes easy to me. For my 2 dogs it starts at 345am with their first walk before I head to the gym. There 2nd walk comes at 8am before I start work then again at 2pm for a quick lunch break and their last 2 walks come at 5 and 930pm before settling down for the night. In between all the walking they’ll get breakfast and dinner and some naps. Meet and greet is important along with getting to know the pets needs and routines. Along with likes and dislikes. Knowing what the pet parents wants and expects from visits or boarding.

“Cristina took wonderful care of my 4-month-old kitten for a week while my family and I were out of town. She communicated well, responded promptly, and sent us pictures every day. It was clear that she genuinely enjoyed spending time with my kitten and took great care of her. Cristina followed all of my instructions and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. Before we returned, she took out the kitty litter garbage and left the bathroom clean and tidy. I would highly recommend Cristina to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and responsible pet sitter!”

“Shannon was absolutely amazing with our 5 year old pitty. She was so thorough at our meet and greet over Quintley’s routine and needs. Shannon was there twice during the day at exactly the time we asked for. She kept me updated with messages and pictures. Her communication is fabulous. There was no question that our pup was in great hands. I highly recommend her and will definitely use her again. The absolute best!!”

“Barbara always does a great job taking care of our cats like they were her own. The updates are thorough and the pictures are plentiful. I fully endorse using her services for all your pet sitting needs.”

About: Hello my name is Lara, I'm 21. I am a big animal lover, been with cats and dogs almost all my 21 years! I get along with all pets which is great, I work at Dillard's part time job for now as sales associate at men's department, in my free time I like to go for long walks and hiking. I live only me and my mom and my kitty cat he's 8 months old, a ragdoll and his name is Neith! I'd love to take your doggos for a walk, funday, just for a visit or wherever you want them to go! I love all kinds of dogs really, I don't see myself minding any breed as long as they're friendly, and that would be all about me, let me know if you have any questions! I currently work M-F but if the opportunity comes and a furry friend needs me, I can show up; also available on the weekends at any needed time :) My pets are spoiled, well taken care of and treated with all the love there is in the world. Any of my clients’ pets would receive the same treatment :)
About: I had a very sassy adopted Persian cat for about 6 years until she unfortunately passed earlier this spring. (she was an old lady). I adopted my puppy Levi in March 2022 and most recently my new kitty, Mikasa in July. I currently work full time from home so I have pretty open availability to take care of pets throughout the day. My dog goes on a walk twice throughout the day. My living room is actually used as a flex work space and it is also where my dog has his bed. It is gated off from the kitchen and the other side is my home office where I usually am throughout the day. I also have a play room for the dog that is located off the living room.

About: I have doggy sense: I know how to give space when needed and dogs warm up quick! Doggos are like babies, love em so much I have my own fur baby (7 year old bully), I'm used to giving doggos lots of care. I make sure he potties and eats when needed! Treats included! I spoil the fur babies, if allowed. I am very very careful to make sure they never escape. I am very empathetic. I care for others' dogs the way I love mine

“Molly was great! She was able to help me out very last minute and took great care of my cat, Daphne. She spent some time playing with her every visit and sent the best pictures and updates. Thank you!!”

“Absolutely AMAZING help on incredibly short notice, and everybody loved him! Including my very skittish cat that usually hides from strangers :) Thank you so much again for all your help!!”

“Tom showed up on time and quickly got acquainted with our doggies. Doggies warmed up to him quickly. He spent some time with them as we will need him for future visits. He seems to be truly caring for furry friends.”

“Shirley did an incredible job looking after our two cats while we were away for the weekend. She fed and played with them and was very immediate to respond. Definitely a top quality Rover for sure.”
“Kethely is incredible. Our normal sitter was unable to cover the time we were going to be away and Kethely was luckily able to make the time work. She has such a passion and heart for animals and worked to make sure that even our one nervous cat was comfortable. Her updates gave us something to smile about each day of our trip, and we definitely look forward to working with her again.”

I’m committed to keeping the dogs in my care safe, and making sure they are having a great time. Currently I have a pretty open schedule and could work with you on the details. Available 7 days a week, days and nights. Long term or short term. I walk the dogs two or three times a day. Often walk the woods in the reservation and use the dog park. My yard is fenced in and private. Have dog at home (Messi) who loves dogs and company. If you’re more comfortable having your pet caged, we can make arrangements for that or whatever makes you comfortable.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Irvington
Jullien has been phenomenal with our dogs Annie and Lucy. We trust him in our home and with our fur babies. He provides thorough Rover cards with beautiful photos and he's communicative and organized. We would recommend Jullien to anyone who would like to have their pets well cared for and safe.

I was in search of a trust worthy and reliable dog sitter and lucky Rover sent Lexy and I Akshay! Super friendly, flexible, and reliable. The most important factor is that Lexy feels comfortable and safe with him! We look forward to many more walks and home stays.

Kethely is such a sweetheart and was amazing with our baby pomsky! She was such a big help when we needed someone for drop in visits while on vacation. She always sends daily videos and pictures so that we were constantly updated on how our puppy was doing, and it gave us peace of mind knowing the good care our fur baby was in. We would definitely rebook with her and highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable caring pet sitter!

Bianca was amazing while my husband and I were away! She was so prompt and followed all our instructions perfectly. She also showed us so much love, care, and patience, especially with our three dachshunds—especially our little guy, who was a bit anxious and timid at first. Dachshunds, especially three, can be a bit of a challenge and can get a little chaotic, but she handled all three with such compassion. She even offered some alternative options when scheduling conflicts came up. Thanks again, Bianca! We’re already looking forward to booking with you again :)

Jennifer has a special relationship with Jolene - 10 minutes before Jenn arrives, always on time, Jolene starts to get excited and ready for her long walk. Rain, Sleet, Snow, Bad Attitudes (the dog) and even in sickness (Jolene is getting old) - Jennifer is here for us.
Veronica took care of our dog while we went to Paris. We ended up getting stuck in Paris two extra days because of the blizzard that hit the northeast. Veronica took our dog to her place so she could make sure she was okay during the storm. She went far beyond what we expected of her. I cannot recommend her enough. Your pet will be in excellent hands with Veronica!
Chris is amazing! My puppy is very high energy and can be quite mouthy, and he handles him so calmly and confidently. Chris has a kind, steady demeanor that our puppy immediately responds to, and he’s incredibly patient. Chris is also extremely professional, reliable, and communicative — I always know how things are going and feel totally at ease when he’s with my pup. It’s clear he really understands dogs and knows how to work with challenging puppy behavior. I feel very lucky to have found him and highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
