About: I’ve had two dogs! My first dog was a Maltese named Rocky. He passed away in 2017 from lymphoma. 💔 Right now, I have a 9-year-old terrier mix named Lila! She’s full of energy and loves running around the yard, going for walks, and playing fetch with her toys. I’ve been helping take care of my family’s & friends dogs since I was a little girl, and I’ve always loved dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and personalities. 🥰 I’m currently in the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program at FDU. I started in May, and the program is 15 months long, so I’ll be graduating in September 2027. I can’t say enough good things about Shannon. I came to her with a little bit of an odd request—more like an evening of babysitting our pup than a traditional dog sit. Happy is 5 months old and full of energy. And also still learning how to behave in someone else’s house. We were staying with our daughter and her family so we could attend a family wedding in a different city than where we live. I looked on Rover and found this woman with years of experience as a certified dog sitter, who seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. I thought she would not be overwhelmed by a 5-month-old golden retriever pup. Holy moly! I can’t brag about Safiya enough! From start to finish the communication was nothing short of incredible. She cared for my baby like he was her own. She cared for my home like she lived here. I feel like a found a member of the family not a sitter. Hands down, the best caretaker for anyone you love. Chris did an amazing job watching our dog Gobi and we will definitely have him watch him again in the future! He has a very calm, comforting demeanor which helped our nervous guy feel safe.
