About: I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my mom always had a home full of animals, and that’s where my love for pets began. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, turtles, and other small pets. I currently have a senior dog, so I understand how important it is to follow special instructions, pay close attention to details, and make sure pets are safe and comfortable. I know every pet is different, and I always treat them with patience, love, and care. My goal is to make your pet feel at home while giving you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I work part time 3 days a week, and pet sitting is something I do part-time because I genuinely enjoy being around animals. I make sure to only accept bookings that I can fully commit to, so every pet gets the time, attention, and care they deserve. I also have a senior dog, so I’m used to following routines, paying attention to details, and carefully following any special instructions. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medications (if needed), and any special instructions from the owner. I also keep their space clean, make sure they always have fresh water, and give them plenty of attention, affection, and exercise based on their needs. I can’t say enough good things about Shannon. I came to her with a little bit of an odd request—more like an evening of babysitting our pup than a traditional dog sit. Happy is 5 months old and full of energy. And also still learning how to behave in someone else’s house. We were staying with our daughter and her family so we could attend a family wedding in a different city than where we live. I looked on Rover and found this woman with years of experience as a certified dog sitter, who seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. I thought she would not be overwhelmed by a 5-month-old golden retriever pup. So I reached out to Shannon long distance and she was right there with all the good questions and suggestions about how to make my plan work. Sara was fantastic! We’ve never left our boy with someone other than family before so we were very anxious, but Sara quickly put our concerns to rest. She was extremely communicative and sent us a bunch of pics every day. I’m so glad we found her and will happily use her again in the future!!

Melanie was fantastic with Pancho and Taylor. Pancho is recovering from surgery, and Melanie’s veterinary background was a tremendous asset. I felt completely at ease leaving home, knowing both dogs, especially Pancho, were in the care of Melanie. Highly recommended!
