About: I'm a pet-loving mother of four with three children in college—and enjoying the wonderful pets I have met through this site. I have lived in Scotch Plains for almost 15 years. I watch several dogs regularly on a private basis and am excited to be part of the Rover community. I grew up with a beloved menagerie that included three cats, two beloved dachshunds and a poodle and have enjoyed watching a variety of dogs, including a bulldog, a French bulldog, a Bernese, a labradoodle, and, of course, mixed breeds. I love walking and daily yoga and look forward to helping your pets get the fresh air, activity and affection they need when you are working or otherwise busy. I am a freelance writer with a flexible schedule and have time for walks and visits before or after work and at lunchtime. Having raised a family, I know how important it is to have a pet sitter who is mature and reliable and understands how deeply you love your pets--and am honored to assist you in keeping them happy and healthy. While I would love to help every pet, I am petite, so my ideal sized pets are under 50 pounds. I am a freelance writer with a flexible schedule and my own car. I rise early every day, and I am often available on weekends. I am often available at lunch time to clients who need their dogs walked mid day. I am a mature, reliable and organized mother of four and will treat your beloved and adorable pet like a member of my own family.

About: I am a cat lover, cat owner, and cat shelter volunteer. I love small dogs too! I will follow your directions and give them love. I work at a school, so my summers are free to watch your pets. In September, my hours will be more limited to evenings and weekends. I will follow your instructions exactly. I understand that every animal has its quirks and its own personality. I am always gentle, kind, and patient.

About: Since high school, I’ve always had pets around me. When I was full-time Army stationed in Alaska, my leadership asked me to dog sit their pets and ever since then I was the go to dog sitter for our Company. I sometimes spent weeks juggling getting to work in the early mornings and getting home in time to take care of their pets and their homes. I enjoyed taking care of their dogs on the day to day! Im renovating my family’s new house and working in the New Jersey Army National Guard so I appreciate getting some steps in and spending time with pets. I like spending time with pets because they live in the moment. I talk and run with them sometimes when on walks to make them feel comfortable with me.

About: I have worked intensively for 3 years in dog daycare with as many as 30 dogs in a room. Before that I’ve always been an avid dog owner and caretaker for as long as I can remember. I work mornings during the week, so I am available after 1:30 pm weekdays. I am very punctual and reliable, and deeply care for a dogs wellbeing! I prefer to care for pets in a client’s home, although I’m sure there can be some exceptions, although I don’t have a huge amount of space

About: I have always had small dogs growing up and got my own dog 5 years ago. I have watched my neighbors and family members dogs and cats of all sizes. I care for these animals like I would want my dog to be cared for. I’m very compassionate and detail oriented. I will do whatever the owner instructs and provide updates with pictures. I have 2 part time jobs currently so I have random time gaps throughout the day to fill. I will be starting graduate school in September and will also still have some random time gaps throughout the day and I’m looking to fill them with some animal love. I pay close attention to details left by owners about their pets care plan. I treat every animal with love and compassion like they are my own pet. I care for pets like I with the same high standards I have for anyone who cares my own pet. I provide updates and pictures while I’m caring for pets so the owners know their animal is safe and in good hands.

About: I’ve taken care of multiple different breads throughout the years. Since the age of 10. Neighbors, family, and friends have relied on me to walk, feed, and care for their pets I’m currently a Full time student at Union County College. My schedule is free anytime after 12pm on the weekdays and during the weekends I can board. I have a fenced yard and two little siblings who love to give pets affection. If I’m at a clients home, I will always keeps an eye on their pet to ensure their needs are met and of course to make sure they’re safe.

About: I truly care about all animals’ physical needs as well as their mental health. They are animals, and we are also animals, we both got feelings. I’m available for most weekends and holidays to take care of your furry family when you are away. When boarding your dogs, I’m 24 hours home. I have a high crate, and I make sure the dogs are on leash when going out for a walk. Our complex is huge with a lot of grass where the residents love to have dogs living here. We are 10-mins away from beautiful parks where I took my dog over there all the time.

About: It all started with my late dog, Tucker. A lab mix who was rescued and had aggressive tendencies towards dogs & people. After watching almost every episode of The Dog Whisperer (Cesar Milan) I began to help Tucker get past those fears. I loved taking him on long walks and eventually was walking him off leash. He’s gone 9 years now but I still use the techniques I learned with every dog I interact with. I consider myself the go-to walker, sitter, boarder with a number of family and friends. When the dogs are with me, nothing else comes first. And your furry friends would be no different! I work full time but have a very predictable schedule and very rarely work on the weekends. The office is less than a 10 minute drive from my apartment. When I board at my apartment, your dog is guaranteed to get exercise as I take all visitors on a walk for potty breaks as the nearest grassy area is a park 2 blocks away. But when we go for a dedicated walk, I usually log at least 1-2 miles depending on how healthy your dog is. Walks are the exercise and I try to keep them focused on staying on the sidewalk until it’s time for them to go to the bathroom. That focus helps to drain their energy. I always take time intro the dogs to the apartment properly. I don’t immediately let them loose until we’ve had a chance to walk around together inside. It helps them get comfortable with the new environment and with me. If you enforce prohibiting your dog from being on couches and/or beds, I can certainly continue that during their stay. If not, I don’t mind snuggling with a dog on the couch or bed (as long as they wait for me to invite them up.)
