“Alison & Tom have been absolutely amazing with our pup, Pangea! They walked her a couple of times last week and were our first choice when we needed a last-minute walk—thankfully, they were super accommodating. We’re so excited to have them walking her for the next week too! Their communication is excellent—they’re responsive, thoughtful, and always send thorough updates. Each walk comes with a detailed report card (including how many pees, poops, and breaks!), and we always get three adorable photos that truly brighten our day. We feel so lucky to have found them. It’s such a relief knowing Pangea is in such good hands. Highly, highly recommend!”

“Anna is so great with our dogs! It was so easy to send her a message and then she was here just hours later. She even took them for a walk that same day. I really appreciate that they come back very tired and which makes our life easier. She takes wonderful care of our dogs!”

“Lucinda made multiple extra visits to my house (outside of scheduled walks) to try & get my very fearful dog to get to know her. She is very patient & understanding, I just wish my dog would be more cooperative! I appreciate how she went above & beyond to try & accommodate my scaredy cat dog. <3”

“Travis is off to a great start! He is very professional, reliable, and punctual. He is doing a great job with Rosie, even was patient with her when she was a little apprehensive at first with a new dog walker.”

About: I'd love to spend time with your pets and give them the same care I give mine! I know being away from your pets, especially long term, can be stressful--I'm willing to do whatever is necessary to make the time spent away from your cat as easy as possible, including sending pictures whenever you want! I've lived with and taken care of cats since the age of two and have been volunteering at animal shelters since the age of twelve; I've spent time playing with and socializing shelter cats and walking shelter dogs. I've also been a house sitter for families with both cats and dogs since the age of 16. I just graduated college and will have ample time to take care of your pets and all their needs. My schedule is flexible, so I can easily accommodate any time-specific care needs. I recognize that all pets need to be cared for in different ways and am dedicated to making sure that I continue to care for your pets in the way you do to ensure your furry family members undergo as little change as possible!

“Feeling really grateful to have found Celina to provide daily walks for our dog. She was very responsive and flexible as our schedule changed a couple times prior to her appointments. She is also extremely loving and intuitive when it came to getting to know our dog. He was a little anxious at first but quickly warmed up to Celina’s friendly personality. Will definitely request her again and highly recommend her.”

About: Hi there! We’re an animal-loving household full of heart, energy, and wagging tails! 🐶🐔🐱 With a crew of kind, responsible kids who adore animals, and a home filled with love (and plenty of squeaky toys), your pet will feel like part of the family from the moment they arrive. We have friendly dogs, curious cats, a flock of chickens, and a fully fenced-in yard that’s perfect for safe outdoor play and sniffing adventures! Whether your pet loves to play fetch, snuggle on the couch, or just relax in the sun, we’re here to make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. We know how important peace of mind is, and we treat every furry guest like one of our own. Looking forward to meeting your pet and welcoming them into our pack! I’m home with the kiddos most days and WFH so we are pretty flexible throughout the day as long as we have enough time to prepare our schedules for an extra visitor. I have a fenced yard, a Great Dane, and kiddos to play with your dog as well. I want your fur baby to be as comfortable as if you were home with them

“Blue has been amazing with helping out even on days she’s not scheduled. My mom had to be admitted to the hospital and I had her dog. Blue came last minute to take both my dog and my mom’s dog for a walk which was a huge help!!”

About: I grew up bringing cats home, and have always been concerned with the humane treatment of animals. I am a conscientious animal lover who knows that dogs need to explore and sniff outside to calm themselves and to feed their interests. Most cats like to get repeatedly "combed" with damp hands to remove dust and loose fur. I listen to a dog to find what pace and range they are comfortable with, and let them go with their curiosity. Once a pet knows me, they are often overwhelmed with excitement to go out for their personal adventure; then I know that my work is for good - they are having fun and experiencing nature. The goal is to make your pet's life more fulfilled, calm and happy. Cheryl I work part-time, four hour shifts. When I stay with a pet I adjust my work schedule so that I work few shifts and enjoy my time with the pet. I strive to be away no longer than 5.5 hours at a time. I no longer bring new pets into my home because I had one elder dog staying who was incontinent and it was a problem with wall to wall carpeting...

About: I’ve had Rover since 2016 but I haven’t used it since so I’m back on. I grew up with a dog and so I have experience with puppies as well as senior dogs. I recently worked as a dog handler and Lead Assist for 2 years where I monitored dogs, cleaned up after them as well as feeding and administering medications. I spend most of my time outside enjoying what nature had to offer. I have a lot of experience with cats and have fostered kittens for the humane society for years. I also used to have a pet rabbit named Edgar and I treated him like a prince!. I treat every animal as if they are my own because each animal is special. Animals are my passion so I am planning on working with them professionally in the future. I don’t work at the moment so I can take good care of your animals. I enjoy hanging out with my family’s animals during my free time. I am familiar with kennels and making sure everything is safe, I take into consideration what you want your pets to eat and what they can’t. I like everything to be clean so they aren’t getting into anything they shouldn’t. I respect if you prefer your dog not to say hello to other dogs on walks just in case the other dog isn’t vaccinated. I also refrain from using communal water bowls. I always clean up after dogs

About: Hi, I’m Kynssie! I’m a dog nanny based in Portland! I bring years of hands-on experience in dog sitting, walking and training with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. My pup Arlo, a super social 2-year-old Pyrenees mix, joins me for sits and absolutely loves making new friends so because of this, your pets would have to be dog friendly! I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have been professionally dog sitting for over 5 years now, plus working in dog daycares for years where I gained experience with puppies, seniors, special needs pups, and reactive dogs. I also lead group walks and play groups during the summer—which are just as fun for me as they are for the dogs! Leash reactive dogs are always welcome on walks and overnights. I understand the challenges they bring and I’m confident caring for pups who need a little extra patience and one-on-one attention. If you think Arlo and I might be a good match for your pup, send us a message—we’d love to meet you! I currently work as a barista, only being away from home for about 4-5 hours at a time. I try to reserve mornings and evenings for the pups but my schedule does vary so afternoons are sometimes open as well. At my home, we are in an apartment but we have walking trails all around plus a few fenced in fields nearby that I take my pup to often. We avoid dog parks as they are unpredictable but when the weather permits it, I will get the dogs up and out in the fenced in areas!

About: With a lifetime of dog ownership and hands-on experience in pet care, I bring deep compassion and skill to every aspect of dog care. My experience spans both domestic and international settings, including caring for rescued dogs in the Philippines, where I managed illnesses like bacterial infections and mange. I also understand the needs of dogs with trauma, as my current rescue, who had an eye removed, has taught me valuable lessons in handling wound care, behavioral issues, and aggression with patience and expertise. My care prioritizes each dog’s comfort, safety, and well-being, whether they're in perfect health or need a little extra support. I have a salon station for grooming and bathing your pet, and years of experience grooming and trimming. As a dedicated dog caregiver working from home, I provide around-the-clock supervision and personalized attention. This allows me to ensure every pet feels safe, loved, and attended to throughout the day and night, whether they need a companion to ease anxiety, help with special care, or just a watchful eye for peace of mind. I love dogs and caring for them is a passion of mine, that I am able to pursue through Rover aside of my regular career. In my home, I create a safe, welcoming environment tailored to each dog's needs. With 24/7 supervision, I’m always available to monitor play, handle feedings, provide medication if needed, and offer the kind of companionship that keeps pets calm and comfortable. I maintain routines that match their normal schedules as closely as possible, keeping pets settled and stress-free. For care in clients' homes, I aim to replicate their usual environment, helping pets feel secure with familiar surroundings. Whether it’s following specific feeding, exercise, or sleep routines, or just keeping pets comfortable while their owners are away, I prioritize continuity and individualized care, treating each dog like a member of the family.

“Jennifer was so incredibly attentive and thoughtful when considering each pups needs/tendencies. Communicated very well and was accommodating to all fluctuations in schedules and helped on short notice. Will definitely be using her again!”

“My regular walker had hurt her back and I was in bind. Liz answered my request within minutes and we set a time to meet so I could introduce my boy Aries to her. They hit it off like old friends and we scheduled a few days of walks. The big goofy smile post walk tells me we picked another awesome walker!! I am so grateful to have her taking care of Aries. ? ?”

My dog is like my child and I would feel content knowing that she was being looked after by Erika. She has nothing but love in her heart for all kinds of animals. Kynssie M.
“We met Kynssie when she worked at a local doggy day care where we took our pup, Lily. She was always friendly and showed a sincere interest in the dogs she interacted with, so of course we were ecstatic when we heard she did in home dog-sitting as well. She stayed with Lily for over a week while we were on vacation and we did not worry a bit. She came over beforehand to learn about Lily's daily routine and to familiarize herself with any of Lily's quirks, behaviors, likes and dislikes. She asked important questions and gave thorough answers to any of ours. She sent us a few notes and pictures of Lily while we were gone, and she even had a little birthday surprise for Lily's birthday! We came home to a clean home, a bouquet of flowers, and a recap of the week and a thank you note. Best of all, Lily was happy, healthy and relaxed. Kynssie went above and beyond and we would not hesitate to hire her or recommend her services. She's the best!!”

Weiz D.
“Weiz adopted a one-eyed Pekingese that was rescued from the streets of CA named Iggy. She fostered him first, while he was recovering from surgeries and other medical issues. Three weeks later she couldn't bear to part with him so she gave him a home. He had a hard life, lost his right eye while homeless, and she nurtured him. Now, Iggy is one happy, well-loved, and the cutest dog ever! And he adores his momma.”

West Slope dog parents share their Rover experiences
Matthew is energetic, enthusiastic, on time, kind, and loves dogs. My 14 mo old lab, Jerry, is full of energy and determination and is very strong and Matthew knew just how to handle him. Jerry was so happy to see him every morning! I have only high praise and deep gratitude for Matthew.

Kennedy was great with Bella and Violet. She was on time, communicated well and the dogs and I enjoyed her. She has such a wonderful personality for this type of work and I was quite impressed with her first visits with my dogs. They felt safe and well cared for with her and I did as well.

Anastasia is absolutely amazing with my girls! She takes extra care by checking in on special requirements due to thier senior status each day. She sends me pictures and leaves me a note describing how the walk went and how the girls did. I trust Anastasia ensures safety and wellbeing are the top priority while she is with my girls. I will continue to request services from her for walking and other care needs! We are 100% happy!

Sara came to walk Nuni with me on 3/11 prior to house sitting later this month. Sara is very patient and caring. Nuni is 13 years old and doesn't walk fast, but Sara is very patient with him. She came back to our place and spent time just petting Nuni and getting to know him better. I really appreciate Sara and how calm and soft spoken she is. This is very helpful for my furry friend; Nuni. Thank you Sara! Nuni looks forward to your next walk next week and caring for him at the end of the month. Bonnie and Nuni

Kayla is great. She walked both my rascals. My SIL was very impressed with her service. I will continue to use her when I need her services. I gave her 4 stars because other sitters did provide pictures and the walk route, whereas her reporting was a bit spotty. However, that being said, I recognize that this is a learning process. She is great and with time and learning the nitty gritty of how to market herself, she will be able to get a lot of return clients just as I am going to! Go Kayla!
