About: Dog owners for 25 years, we currently do not have one and are seeking dogs to love, walk, and care for! Because we walk every day in the AM and PM, walking your dog would bring us so much joy! We're experienced with dogs from 7 weeks old to senior age, both small and large breeds. Non-shedding dog breeds only please. We work from home and walk in the AM and PM and spend time with them throughout the day. Cheryl is an early riser, Mike stays up late, so we can accommodate both early and late schedules for your dog. If both of us leave, your dog will come with us! We have a fenced yard if your dog wants to play outside but the dog will spend their time with us inside or out. Whatever we're doing, your dog will be there with us. We enjoy hikes, so if your dog is able, we may go hiking. Otherwise, we can walk them to the park in our neighborhood where other dogs often play on a grassy field surrounded by fenced homes. This allows the dogs to safely roam near us (if you are comfortable with them off leash) as we walk and stay near them as they explore.
“Weiz was amazing with Gambit. Very attentive with Gambits needs. She shares pictures. I was very satisfied with her care towards my baby. I 100 percent recommend her and would keep her mind for next time. 😊”

“Very thankful for Elizabeth and her awesome family for making Franklins day care the most memorable!! From play time to dressing him in the most adorable outfit, he was well loved and taken care of the entire time!”

“Newt had another INCREDIBLE adventure day with Jiao!! She clearly LOVES being with her, and came back exhausted from all that she did - which is exactly what I wanted! She got to go to Mount Hood and go through the snow. I got tons and updates and it’s clear they took such good care of my girl.”

“Damon has been a life saver for my daycare needs. He is reliable, personable, and communicative. I work full time and have an active GSD who needs adequate mental stimulation and play. By the time I pick her up, she’s ready to eat and relax for the rest of the evening. He has a spacious and clean backyard for the dogs to roam/play around in without it feeling too crowded. I always get pics and updates thru out the day to make me feel reassured she’s safe and having a great time. Would absolutely recommend Damon and his services.”

“Jami is very diligent with sending pics/vids even when we don’t respond right away, with also sharing all needed updates about Mango. She’s straightforward, super helpful, very nice, reassuring, and keeps it a big world for your dog as she did for our Mango. She’s now our favorite and top person for anytime Mango would need daycare for the day or boarding when we have to leave for a trip.”

“I felt so comfortable leaving my older little pup in Stephanie’s care. She truly loves pups, and takes extra care to create a safe and comfortable environment for the dogs. Thankful!”

About: I’ve care for pets of all sizes and temperaments, bringing a happy, reliable presence that animals and their humans quickly trust. With hands-on experience in pet sitting, walking, I prioritize each pet’s routine and well-being as if I were their mom. I’m currently working part-time in a tech and good job so I have flexible schedules on both weekdays and weekends. Happy to help with taking care of your dearest family member! I have a Shiba Inu girl (3-year-old), nice and well-behaved, she loves furry friends and gets along with them well. Let’s have a quality pet time together!
About: If you're a dog lover, you should have dogs, right? I've had dogs all my life and we currently have two small well-behaved dogs, Daisy and Buddy, both under 20 lbs. My 23-year-old son Sam is a co-sitter (I'm primary) and your doggie will receive all the love it can handle! Sam used to volunteer as a dog walker at the Maui Humane Society when we lived on Maui and we spent Saturdays at the pet-a-puppy adoption gathering at the Maui Mall. Animals seem to know we're safe and loving and tend to come to us when they need help. We've rescued a duckling, a Mynah bird, a baby squirrel, a lost kitten, and two adult dogs, caring for them in our homes until appropriately placed or returned to their owners. We also took part in a humpback whale rescue when visiting Maui Feb 2023. I work from home as an instructional designer; my son is an student in animation and is also at home and absolutely adores every animal he ever met. Two responsible adults are here at all times, so this makes it easy to give your fur baby the attention it deserves. Our dogs are indoor dogs and have free roam of our house. We have a large, fenced, dog-friendly backyard for exercise. Our two small friendly dogs can show your dog the ropes. We recommend a visit prior to placement so they can all get acquainted.
“Eibhlinn was wonderful with our nervous little Finlay! We’ve avoided leaving him with a sitter for years, because he usually has terrible separation anxiety, but he did very well with Eibhlinn. She sent us photos of his smiling face during his stay, which put us at ease, too. Great communication, and very easy to arrange drop-off and pick-up. We will definitely book Eibhlinn again if she’s available!”

“Naomi was great. My puppy was over excited when he arrived but Naomi kept her cool and helped him to calm down and get along with the other pups. Definitely 5 stars.”

“Kirsten did a wonderful job! She accepted my booking very last minute and kept me updated throughout the day with updates and photos of our puppy. She was flexible scheduling-wise and provided a lot of activity and stimulation for our dog.”

“Dakota had such a great day with Tommy. From planning to drop off, during the stay and pick up, Tommy was incredibly communicative and clearly has a way with dogs. Would highly recommend. My pup loved him!”

About: I have been a dog walker, pet sitter, and cat care giver for 16 years in the D.C. area before relocating to Portland a few months ago. Your dog or cat's happiness and comfort is my top priority Pet care is solely what I do for a living, so I am available any day except Sundays. I am also flexible on hours depending on client's needs. I have a 1.5 year old female dog that I would be happy to bring along with me on walks or visits to your home. She is very friendly and playful
West Slope dog parents share their Rover experiences
Jennifer is amazing! She is so sweet and so good with our little elderly pooch, Crystal, and it gives us so much comfort knowing that she has worked as a vet tech! Our elderly girl needs extra expertise sometimes and it’s wonderful to know Jennifer can handle Crystal’s special needs. Plus, she takes amazing photos and gives a really fantastic detailed report afterwards of her time with Crystal. We are definitely going to be using her again!

Charlotte is the best! She came to the rescue when my apartment building sent a last-minute notice of an all-day fire alarm test in my unit and building (yikes). With short notice, she agreed to care for my dog and cat in her home for the day. My cat (Abbey) does not like surprises, so I was the most worried about her adjusting to leaving my house for the first time in six months. Charlotte made them both very comfortable and intuited what they needed to be happy for the day. When I picked them up after eight hours, both of them seemed happy and right at home with Charlotte. It made my day far easier knowing they were in good hands! I recommend her highly!
