“I needed day care services for the last 3 weeks. Susan & Ian were amazing! I requested dog pickup and drop off. I work 12 hrs a day and when I got home I came home to a tired and happy dog. It was like Christmas. I got pictures and video updates thought the day and report card at end of day. Kuka, my dog, loves their Rudy. They became buddies. I cant recommend them high enough!! Kuka went to doggie day care in the past and it always stressed her out. We tired 4 different places. She is super duper happy with Susan and family.”

“JJ did very well with Nana. He’s a little timid around other dogs and there were three other dogs. Nana took great care of JJ and we will definitely use her again! She sent videos and picture which were appreciated.”
“Both Hayley and Graham have taken such special care of my labrador dog at their home. She loves the socialization and their home is very comfortable for doggy daycare. We appreciate you so much arranging your schedule to lovingly care for Emmie.”

“We have been using Vanessa as our dog sitter for almost 4 years now. Vanessa has watched both our sweet pitties Kona and Kiki from about 12 weeks old and I always have so much peace of mind knowing that they are in the best of hands. She has given our dogs nothing but love and they always have so much fun at her house! They get plenty of socialization and play time but also much needed naps when they need it (my dogs love to snooze 😴). I will keep coming to see Vanessa as long as she will have us! Thank you for everything always!”

About: If you're a dog lover, you should have dogs, right? I've had dogs all my life and we currently have two small well-behaved dogs, Daisy and Buddy, both under 20 lbs. My 23-year-old son Sam is a co-sitter (I'm primary) and your doggie will receive all the love it can handle! Sam used to volunteer as a dog walker at the Maui Humane Society when we lived on Maui and we spent Saturdays at the pet-a-puppy adoption gathering at the Maui Mall. Animals seem to know we're safe and loving and tend to come to us when they need help. We've rescued a duckling, a Mynah bird, a baby squirrel, a lost kitten, and two adult dogs, caring for them in our homes until appropriately placed or returned to their owners. We also took part in a humpback whale rescue when visiting Maui Feb 2023. I work from home as an instructional designer; my son is an student in animation and is also at home and absolutely adores every animal he ever met. Two responsible adults are here at all times, so this makes it easy to give your fur baby the attention it deserves. Our dogs are indoor dogs and have free roam of our house. We have a large, fenced, dog-friendly backyard for exercise. Our two small friendly dogs can show your dog the ropes. We recommend a visit prior to placement so they can all get acquainted.
“Julie took wonderful care of my active Aussie. My pooch came home tired, and we all know that a tired dog is a good dog. I will use Julie again...the next visit already booked.”

“Wow, Jami was wonderful and you can really tell that she is an animal lover! She went above and beyond to make sure Duckie was taken care of at daycare. She even took him to the dog park so that he could run and play with the other dogs. He was sleepy and happy when I picked him up. I got adorable photos and video updates throughout the day as well. 10/10 recommend!”

“Allison has been great every time we’ve taken our pups to her. She’s watched our boxer puppy twice and I don’t know how she still loves her little face after all the gremlining she does. Thank you so so much for watching and wearing out Keeley!”

“I am a fearful pet parent for my little reactive street dog and Damon put us at ease with the time he took for a meet and greet, then booking a day boarding, then an overnight with him before we go away for a week leaving our little guy in his care. I was very hesitant because he has a larger group of dogs, but he is so organized in how he introduces and works with them that our dog came back tired but vey happy. He is super competent, kind and unbelievably NEAT and clean. I couldn't believe he took time to send videos and pictures. this is obviously his superpower. I feel confident in his judgment and his ability to handle anything that comes along calmly.”

“Barbara is an excellent dog sitter, my dog Caleb absolutely loves coming and seeing her and her wonderful dogs every month for a couple days. She’s compassionate and very kind and caring, I would recommend her to anyone seeking daycare, 10 out of 5 stars rating!!”

About: I have three adorable Mini American Shepherds, so while I love all dogs, herding breeds are definitely my specialty. I’ve got a big fenced yard and a doggie door, so the pups can run and play freely. I’ve also been involved in dog showing and agility, so I’m pretty knowledgeable about all things dog-related! I am currently working from home, and have time to take care of your beloved pet while you are away. Dogs are allowed on the bed and furniture. I have a large fenced yard, and three friendly Mini American Shepherds that love to play. I have rooms separated by gates, and extra crates for when a pup needs a little space.
“Brinks loved going to Kirsten's house! He had a great time playing with her dog and kids. It was so nice for me to be able to go to work with the peace of mind knowing that he was safe and well cared for.”

“Our dogs always come home happy and calm from their play day at Angelica and Tyler's. They can't wait to get to their house so all our doggy dates are a win for everyone :-)”

“Overall, Roxanne continuously communicated with us, and shared lots of pictures of Ripley during her stay. She was extra careful with introduction to other dogs, and overall our little Ripley seemed happy when we picked her up.”

About: I’ve had my own dogs since I was very little and always had the responsibilities of taking care of them. I’ve had my own little one since I adopted her 12 years ago, she’s my best friend. Every dog I see I NEED to pet them and say hi, as long as the owner is ok with that. Making sure a dog is comfortable with me is also important so I will always make them feel loved and treat them kindly. I’m currently a stay at home mom so I have a pretty open schedule. I do a quick school drop off in the mornings and pickup in the afternoons but my day to day is always the same and can easily fit animal care into it. In my own home I have a small terrier named Penny and a cat named Penelope who both get along great with other pets. My yard is not completely closed off so walks in my neighborhood would be best. I have wooden stairs that I’ve added tread to so there’s no slipping for the dogs. I have a crate for small/medium dogs if they need a place to relax on their own. Tons of blankets for them to curl up in as well.

Sexton Mountain dog parents share their Rover experiences
Barbara was wonderful with Zeke! She clearly understands dog behavior, play styles, and each dog's individual needs. From the moment we met her, it was obvious that she genuinely cares about the dogs in her care and takes the time to make them feel comfortable. Zeke seemed to have a great time during his stay and came home happy, relaxed, and pleasantly exhausted—which is always a good sign! It was reassuring to know he was in caring and knowledgeable hands. We would absolutely trust Barbara with Zeke again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and attentive dog sitter. 🐾❤️

Jacq always has an amazing time with Hiroe. He’s always so excited to go over and play with lumi and mokichi. We have been using their daycare and boarding for the last nine months, and I’ve had a great experience. Hiroe is communicative, flexible, and send pictures and videos for updates nearly every visit. Should she return to Rover, we will definitely be using again!

Jami is an incredible sitter! She watched my anxious Golden Retriever for daycare a few times and it was clear she truly understands dog behavior. She was so patient and kind with my nervous dog and even communicated a clear plan for how she would help her settle in. Jami is calm and happy herself, which made it so easy to talk with her about any concerns. She responded quickly to text questions, followed feeding instructions perfectly, and respected my leashing preferences when they went on a hike. Jami sent regular updates. Jamie has a beautiful, large, fenced yard with a large deck full of pet beds and even a same-level floor dedicated just for the dogs. It's kind of like a fancy resort for pups! I knew my dog was going to have a wonderful time and I picked up a calm, happy, and tired pup. I can’t recommend her enough!

Our pup Is high maintenance and nervous, but Youjung did a fantastic job taking care of him. You can tell she really loves dogs and wants to make sure that they are happy! Our pup got lots of walks and attention. We will definitely book with her in the future!

I am very happy with Marla & Keith, because Cassie received a lot of one-on-one attention. Marla is an expert at making a new dog (Cassie) feel at home in a new environment. Cassie was welcomed on walks with the other dogs - all of them much bigger than she is. And she got lap time too. The photos were a nice bonus. 😊
