Safety, trust & environment

In My Home: Your dog will be treated like part of the family during their stay. I have a small fenced yard for potty breaks and outdoor time, and Hazeldale Park is just a short walk away for additional exercise and enrichment. Dogs are welcome on furniture unless you prefer otherwise, and I’ll follow your pet’s usual routines, rules, and training expectations to help them feel comfortable. In Your Home & On Walks: Walks are tailored to your dog’s age, energy level, and individual needs. Whether we’re exploring your neighborhood, staying at home, or enjoying a relaxed sniffari, I’ll provide safe exercise, mental enrichment, and plenty of positive attention. I have a large dog stroller and use positive reinforcement techniques on walks. We will go over anlso review any training cues, commands, or routines you have established to help maintain consistency and good habits.

The day varies based on individual dog needs, but also with potty time and breakfast! From there they will have to play either in the small yard, house, or at the local park. Experienced Pet Lover

Pet care experience

As a lifelong animal lover, I understand that pets are family. Finding someone you trust to care for your pets is incredibly important, and I strive to provide the same attentive, dependable care that I want for my own dogs. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and ages, cats, rabbits, fish, and have spent time around horses and other barn animals. Whether your pet needs long walks, playtime, medication administration, plenty of cuddles, or simply a consistent routine, I’m happy to tailor my care to their individual needs. I also know how much reassurance matters when you’re away, so I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout each visit. My goal is for you to have complete peace of mind, knowing your pets are safe, comfortable, and treated like family. As a dog owner myself, I have firsthand experience caring for pets with anxiety, behavioral challenges, and ongoing medical needs. I have a background in positive reinforcement training and believe in using patience, consistency, and rewards to encourage good behavior. I understand the importance of consistency, patience, medication schedules, and recognizing when something isn’t quite right. Whether your pet needs extra reassurance, a structured routine, or specialized care, I’m committed to providing attentive, compassionate support.

Shannon has watched Stella many times, and every time we know she's in great hands. She is dependable, communicative, and clearly passionate about animals. We especially appreciate the little extras, like the frozen pupsicles she makes and bringing out the pool on warmer days. It's those thoughtful details that show how much she cares. Our dog always comes home relaxed, happy, and excited for her next visit.

We couldn't be happier with Shannon! She keeps our dog active and entertained and he always comes home tired and happy. The ball pit was such a fun idea and something he absolutely loved! Shannon is also wonderful about sending updates, so we never feel out of the loop while we're away. She truly puts thought into making sure the dogs in her care have a great experience.

I started using Shannon for weekly walks when my work schedule got hectic, and she's been fantastic! She's reliable and has never missed a walk or shown up late. It's such a relief knowing I don't have to worry about whether my dog is being taken care of during the day. One of my favorite things is that she always sends pictures and a quick update afterward. I love seeing where they went, how my dog did, and knowing he got plenty of exercise and attention. If you're looking for someone dependable who will treat your dog like their own, I highly recommend her.
