I am a lifelong pet parent and have been training dogs using positive reinforcement methods for a living as a company employee for the past 9 years. During that time, I have also walked and taken care of many clients' dogs and cats. Now I am recently retired and am going out on my own to continue the career that I love! I have devoted my time to positive training and taking care of all ages and breeds of dogs from young puppies and kittens to senior dogs and cats. If you need someone to walk and check in on your babies while you're at work , I am happy to do that. If you're looking for training for your young puppy or dog on your schedule, that will work! I have a solid background in pet nutrition and health and am happy to advise on pet needs and deal with any special health needs your pet has.

This was Muff’s third—and at two weeks, by far longest—stay with Barbara. When Muff and I arrived for the drop-off, Muff was thrilled to see Barbara, which is always a good sign. The stay went very well, and Barbara sent a ton of photos. Highly recommended!

Barbara is great! She’s easygoing & attentive & sent pics each day of my pups’ antics. My dogs enjoyed her backyard & playing with her 3 dogs, who all have great temperaments & didn’t seem to mind playing chase allll day.
Muff had a great day with Barbara and her collies and whippet. She’ll return for a longer stay in late April.
I have left my dog Butters with Barbara many times over the years, and each time I'm sure that when I leave my pup with her, he will be so very happy and well taken care of. She knows everything there is to know about dogs, and I feel safe knowing Butters is always in excellent hands with her and her wonderful dogs. He loves going to Barbara's, especially when it's for longer stays! I know for sure that there is no better place for him to stay than in his second home - Barbara's home! We all love Barbara in our family and are always looking forward to booking a stay with her.
Penn and Lucy love boarding with Barbara and her pet and human family. This latest time, Barbara celebrated Penn's 12th birthday with pupcakes for the dogs, and she made sure they got special treats for Valentine's day. I always appreciate the time she takes sending me daily updates and photos.

Schedule
i am retired, so my schedule is very flexible, and I have a lot of time to devote to your pets! We can schedule either ongoing regular walks and/or training and/or drop-in visits or occasional ones, depending upon your schedule. I can also arrange dog playdates/socialization with my well trained collie !

I treat every pet as if he/she were my own with lots of loves and attention. We can either walk in your neigborhood, at a nearby park, or go for an adventure! I am reliable, only use positive training methods and always take measures to keep my clients safe. If you have a particular routine or need that I should follow when in your home, please let me know, and I am happy to help.

A typical day
I love to make every walk a positive experience by varying walks (different areas, terrain) and having fun adventures, while working on loose leash training, as needed. Our walks will satisfy dogs' needs to explore, exercise, and get some of that energy used up...while we have fun doing it !
