“Taylor did a great job with our Old English Bully. Our Luna is a high energy unique Bully and Taylor was able to keep up! Taylor has great communication and she is mindful about the dogs needs and behaviors. Luna had a great time and we were able to relax and enjoy our time away.”

About: I became a dog mom at 19, and have been dog-sitting off and on ever since! While the extra income is always nice, I mainly do it to prevent coming home with a new puppy every week. I treat all the dogs I meet like they're my own and give them as much love as I do to my own babies - an 11 year old Lab mix and 6 year old German Shepherd! They both have loved every dog I've ever had staying at my house. I'm comfortable with all breeds and all ages, and have no problem giving medications if needed. I am available during the daytime for long walks and have a very flexible work schedule, which means a lot of play time for your pup! I’m currently working remote part-time and have the flexibility to choose my own hours, which means I have plenty of spare time during the day to spend with your pup! I treat your pets as if they are my own, giving them the same amount of love and attention if not more! I always make sure they are well cared for and that the client comes home to a clean house and happy pets!
About: What sets me apart is my professional experience with dogs in a variety of settings. I spent two years as a dog trainer, where I learned how to understand canine behavior, reinforce good habits, and work with dogs of all personalities. I also have two years of experience in veterinary medicine, giving me the knowledge to recognize changes in a pet’s health, administer medications when needed, and respond calmly in unexpected situations. With more than four years of hands-on experience caring for pets, I know every animal is different. Whether your pet is energetic, anxious, shy, or senior, I take the time to learn their routine and provide care that fits their individual needs. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving you peace of mind through dependable care and regular updates. As a stay-at-home mom and full-time remote student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide consistent, attentive care throughout the day. My coursework is completed from home, so I’m able to stick to your pet’s routine, including potty breaks, walks, meals, playtime, and plenty of attention. Pet care fits naturally into my daily life, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. Whether your pet needs frequent check-ins, overnight care, or extra companionship, I’ll make sure they receive the love, care, and attention they deserve while you’re away. When pets stay in my home, I treat them like part of the family. I do my best to keep their routine as close to home as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and plenty of love and attention. My goal is to create a calm, safe environment where they feel comfortable and secure. I also understand that every pet is different. Whether they enjoy playing, lounging on the couch, or just having someone nearby, I adjust my care to fit their personality and needs. You’ll receive regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.

“Alex and his family were wonderful pet sitters! Ruby was sad to come home I think. He took care of her perfectly including medications, and sent videos of her happily playing with his dogs. We will definitely be repeat customers, knowing how happy she was to be there. Thanks Alex!”

“Sarah took wonderful care of my dog and was a delightful person to work with. She is flexible in case something comes up like a delayed flight or last minute changes in plans. She sent me pictures and texts letting me know my labradoodle was healthy and happy. I felt comfortable leaving my pet in her care and highly recommend her boarding services. Thank you Sarah!”

“Shannon had been an excellent sitter and has done more than just watch my dog, she's included him as part of the family every time he's there. Lots of pics and vids, easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!”

“Christina has watched our dog Remy a few times & always does such a wonderful job. It’s clear that Remy enjoys her time there and feels very comfortable with Christina and her dog, Myles. We would highly recommend Christina to anyone looking for a loving home for their pet while they are away!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - West End
Brooke is amazing. She and her beautiful family welcomed Jack Jack with open arms and he immediately felt at home in her house. We were happy he was so comfortable and we are very pleased to see him just as happy when we picked him up. We plan on using her services again in the near future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
