“B was great. She went above and beyond in the care of my dogs. One of my dogs is not a great eater, and when he didn't eat his food, B remembered I add vegetables or fruit to his meal when he doesn't eat. She gave updates several times a day. To top it all off, B gave both dogs a bath and washed thier beds when I went to pick them up. I'll definitely use B again in the future. Book B, you will not regret it.”

About: I have taken care of lots of dogs in the past and used to groom dogs on the side. I just want to make sure all pets are happy and well taken care of! I’m currently working part-time, but my schedule is very flexible! I am usually free on the weekends and the afternoons after 4 in the afternoon. I have a fenced yard and I don’t have any pets at home. There is also a dog park not too far from me great for walks!

“I just wanna say thank you for keeping my Lola. I enjoy the pictures that were sent to me of her enjoying herself. My flight was canceled. I had to get a a flight the next day, which made me a couple hours late picking up Lola, but Tyreika understood….I will use Tyreika again thank you”

About: Fort Bragg Access! I’ve owned all kinds of animals since I was little, from small animals, to reptiles, to dogs and cats, and even farm animals. I am no stranger to taking care of critters, I have years of experience caring for and training in both a personal home setting and plenty of handling and care in professional settings as well! I spent over a year working for a doggie daycare and boarding facility and later worked at a vet office, handling all sizes and attitudes you can imagine. I know how to handle different types of personalities and bond with them all. I also know how to watch body language and react appropriately, which I find to be very helpful when first beginning to enter the home and getting to know the furbabies. I am comfortable with any kind of situation you can throw my way, I just ask for details ahead of time so I provide the best care and experience for everyone’s furbabies :). I currently work a very flexible schedule that allows me to plan my day around stops and visits. When I am needed it is very easy to be there! When stopping by other’s homes to care for their pets, I make sure to give them plenty of time to potty or clean up any messes/litter boxes depending on the situation. That is so important when making visits while owners are away, no one wants to come back to a stinky home. I also make sure to spend plenty of time providing whatever kind of enrichment is preferred, I love being around furbabies and as long as they are accepting of the company, I don’t want them to feel alone while their owners are away. My own pets have a feeding and medication schedule we follow, so I am no stranger to following strict plans.
“Alexis watched our family dog while we went out of town to a funeral. This was of course last minute, an anxious situation for us and our puppy (because it was her first time away) but Alexis was great! She was so understanding with needing last minute. She sent regular updates and pictures and didn't mind when I checked in because I was worried. You can tell she loves and is great with animals. My lab/Aussie mix puppy is not well trained NOT to jump on people yet but she didn't mind a bit. Her house is also well setup for separating the animals out if needed. I would recommend and use her again.”

“Everything went smoothly with Henley’s first stay away from my home as well as me! Paige updated me and I know Henley must have played non stop! He was worn out for 2 days after returning home! We will be using Paige again!”

“We had a great experience with Celina & Justin! They took great care of our dog and could tell she was getting lots of love and attention (with updates and pictures). We would definitely recommend and will hopefully be using them in the future.”

“Ashley and her family opened their home to my Bubbles as if he were there. He was well taken care of and loved. I definitely will be booking with them in the future. Thank you so much! 😊”

“Blanca was amazing! She sent me pictures daily to check on my Molly, we even video call! The pre-meeting was a success as we got to meet her dogs and they were very playful with my dog. Her place was really close to me and she was very flexible about to drop off and pick up times. We will definitely use her again!”

“Skylar was awesome with my 3 dogs! I wasn't sure how well they would do in a new place, but she said they were really good. She sent pics n even a video which put my mind at ease after seeing how well they took to her and their new surroundings! She was a lifesaver because I needed somebody to watch my 3 dogs for 4 days and she came thru! Thank you again Skylar, we will definitely be keeping you in mind the next time we need a sitter for our fur babies!!”

“Juleysi provided us absolutely exceptional care for our dogs. Very professional, reliable, and kept us thoroughly updated with regular messages and photos, which gave us total peace of mind. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be booking again. Highly recommended!”

Paige and her husband were absolutely wonderful. They were extremely understanding when my plane got delayed and etc. She sent me updates and pictures without me requesting which was extremely comforting. I’m definitely using them for the next time which won’t be long. I highly recommend.

Daisy was absolutely amazing! She was able to accommodate me on extremely short notice and handled my unexpected schedule change with no issues at all. She was flexible, understanding, and made the entire process completely stress free. Most importantly, Arrow was so well taken care of. I could tell he was happy, comfortable, and in great hands. That peace of mind means everything! I truly appreciated her professionalism and willingness to adjust when things didn’t go as planned. I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking for someone reliable, accommodating, and genuinely caring. A&A

We were nervous about leaving our doggy since we’ve never left him before but I felt assured he was going to be great. She was available last minute and made sure our dog was comfortable the entire time. She also sent pictures and videos during his stay which we loved. I will definitely book with her again when I need a sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
