“Blanca was amazing! She sent me pictures daily to check on my Molly, we even video call! The pre-meeting was a success as we got to meet her dogs and they were very playful with my dog. Her place was really close to me and she was very flexible about to drop off and pick up times. We will definitely use her again!”

“Rey took great care of our senior dog and kept us informed the whole time we were away! She’s easy to work with and was very helpful with handling unexpected situations that came up.”

“Ashley was phenomenal! We got lots of updates and photos/videos of our pups during their stay this weekend. We appreciate the love and attention that they received over their Rover visit.”

“My Harley had a great time I was very pleased with the care and the many updates that were sent without having to ask. When Harley first arrived he had an accident I’m thinking he was nervous out the car ride she understood didn’t make an issue out of it and we went on with the appointment. Harley didn’t want to leave 🤣😊 the home was clean and cool I will certainly be rebooking.”

“I needed a boarding for a couple of nights for my dog, Kinako, at the very last minute. Jessica and her family were very accommodating to my request. When we had a meet in the evening before, I had a faith and I knew they are the ones! Kinako immediately made herself comfortable at their home. Their dog is sweet and friendly. They made friends with each other right away. While I was away, it was great to see the update picture, and I felt at ease. When I picked Kinako up, I could tell that she had a wonderful time at their lovely home. Thank you so much for everything you have done for us. Kinako and I are looking forward to the next opportunities.”

“Ashley was very professional and kept me posted throughout my trip with tons of pictures. She was very caring with my 1 year old Labrador and my 5 month old GSP. I would defiantly recommend her and will continue to request her service for the future!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Taylor! She was extremely communicative from start to finish, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She was easy to work with, reliable, and clearly cared about our pet’s well-being. She kept us updated regularly and followed all instructions perfectly.”

“Kathleen was great and super nice! She was ready for the pups when we arrived and she had great communication throughout the entire time! Will definitely book her again if needed!”

“Another great visit with Lilli! After a flight delay changed our plans, she was flexible to allow Laila to stay another night. She sent lots of pictures and I can tell that Laila is really well cared for”

About: I’ve raised and taken care of all sizes and breeds of dogs since I was a little girl. I am experienced with puppies, senior dogs, all breed sizes, and anxious dogs who need a bit more nurturing. I’m currently working away from home Monday through Friday 8 hours a day. I am available during those days before 8am and after 4pm. Please feel free to ask further details about my availability. I prefer to take care of pets in your home. If in my home boarding is needed, please ask. I am comfortable crating, walking, or taking them to the dog park if they are dog friendly.
“Annie is great with our 2 older dogs. Daily updates and photos showed us they are being taken care of with love and patience......they settled in nicely and Annie and her husband treat our dogs just as they do their own. We highly recommend Annie!”
About: I have animals since I am 6, I have a malinois in the house with us and my husky is going to join us in December. I have my husky since 6 years now, those bread teach you a loooooot of patience. My Malinois is still young only 6 months old. We also have a kitty, my parents back in France have a lot of cats that I took care for years. I am at home almost all day expect to go do some grocery or else, I take my dog out when I wake up, during the day and before going to bed. She also knows how to ask. My animals are free to go anywhere and sleep with us in the bed or in their bed at our feets. We put her in the room when we leave to avoid having to much mess everywhere. I don’t wanna put her in a crate.

“Cynthia was welcoming and kept in contact with me the entire time Koko was with her. I am a new puppy grandma and was anxious about leaving Koko. Cynthia willingly met with us on the Sunday before drop off to ensure she was a right fit for Koko. My only concern was that she has a large dog in the home, however she assured me that the dog would not have contact with Koko. When I picked Koko up, she was well fed and happy. I would recommend Cynthia as a sitter or your furry family member.”

“Ashley and her family are awesome! We are so happy to have found a family that takes care of Bella just like we would in our absence. Her communication is great and she responds right away if we have any questions. We have used them on multiple occasions and will continue to in the future.”

“amazing family and very loving! my pup had the best time was so happy and didn’t want to leave. If you need a trusting loving family to watch a care for your pup this is the women to go to!! Will only go back to her if i ever need a sitter”

She did an amazing job taking care of my dog, Winter! She kept me updated the whole time with messages and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. Winter was happy and well taken care of, and it was clear she was in great hands. I’d definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter!

We can't thank you enough for keeping our two babies, Maddie and Mocha while we were on vacation. Khalil was patient over the week with Mocha letting her find her own way through her fear of a new environment. (Mocha isn't socialized) and we see that now. We need to work on that. He kept in constant contact with us so we understood what was happening. The videos were appreciated so much. We will continue to book Khalil when we need to travel

What more can I say other than EXCELLENT! Definitely will rebook in the future. Great knowledge of dogs, very professional and overall I felt super comfortable and so did my puppy 😁. He communicated with me with any updates and gave full reassurance that my puppy was fine. And this I might add was my first time ever dropping my pet with anyone, and Dereck made me feel more than comfortable and assured. I highly recommend Dereck for your sitting needs 👏🏾
I don’t think words suffice Ms. Janine’s amazing pet boarding services! She far exceeded my expectations before we even met! Her response to my booking request was very sweet and genuine and knew from the jump she was the right choice! Throughout my dogs stay with her, she was very communicative, and could tell my pups were being cared for. My dogs loved being with her, and I could tell we’re living their best life for the weekend! Would definitely book again with her, and 10/10 recommend!

She was such a great dog sitter! I needed someone last minute and she was more than willing to help. My dog is very hyper and can be a lot, but she handled him perfectly and gave him great care. I felt totally at ease knowing he was in good hands. Would 100% book again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
