“Another amazing stay for our boys!! Alexis is absolutely amazing! We have been using her for almost a year and wouldn’t trust anyone else! The boys always run up to her door and come home absolutely exhausted. Wouldn’t have it any other way!! THANK YOU!”

“Leira took such great care of our dogs Wally and Aloo! She sent lots of pictures and videos and was very flexible with drop off/pick up times! Our dogs loved staying with Leira!”

“Ms. Laura went above and beyond to care for our dogs. They loved every second of their care! We were so grateful and amazed at how they didn’t experience any anxiety whatsoever. No more vet boarding for us! Only Ms. Laura! If you are interested in boarding your dogs, MS. LAURA IS THE BEST 🥰”

“Nathaly was great! She took a last minute booking and then an extension as I was dealing with a first heat. My pup was well taken care of with daily photos. Would definitely recommend!!”

“Shilo loved his stay, he really respected her. She is an amazing sitter I would recommend her to anyone. I was really thankful she took him last minute. We will definitely come back to her in the future.”

“Rey took great care of our senior dog and kept us informed the whole time we were away! She’s easy to work with and was very helpful with handling unexpected situations that came up.”

“Everything went smoothly with Henley’s first stay away from my home as well as me! Paige updated me and I know Henley must have played non stop! He was worn out for 2 days after returning home! We will be using Paige again!”

“Both of my pups had soo much fun at Mikayla’s house! There were lots of dogs to tire them out in her huge backyard! She sent updates and photos everyday! Would definitely use her again.”

“Finn was well taken care of with Haley! I received updates and photos during his stay. Finn receives medicine twice a day and Haley was very accommodating and was able to give him his medicine. I will definitely be booking Haley again for future boarding services!”

“My Harley had a great time I was very pleased with the care and the many updates that were sent without having to ask. When Harley first arrived he had an accident I’m thinking he was nervous out the car ride she understood didn’t make an issue out of it and we went on with the appointment. Harley didn’t want to leave 🤣😊 the home was clean and cool I will certainly be rebooking.”

“Kira is one of a kind. She is a blessing to me and my babies. I have never felt comfortable leaving my babies with anyone until now She not only kept me updated but treated my babies like her own. My babies love you so much. Thank you Kira and thanks to those beautiful girls of yours too.”

About: I have animals since I am 6, I have a malinois in the house with us and my husky is going to join us in December. I have my husky since 6 years now, those bread teach you a loooooot of patience. My Malinois is still young only 6 months old. We also have a kitty, my parents back in France have a lot of cats that I took care for years. I am at home almost all day expect to go do some grocery or else, I take my dog out when I wake up, during the day and before going to bed. She also knows how to ask. My animals are free to go anywhere and sleep with us in the bed or in their bed at our feets. We put her in the room when we leave to avoid having to much mess everywhere. I don’t wanna put her in a crate.
“My dogs came back just the way i left them. Maybe even slightly more in shape lol. Got plenty of photos the whole time and they were well taken care of. Will definitely recommend her to anyone i know and be a reoccurring customer”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
