About: I have two big dogs myself, and I love them more than anything. I’ve lived next to a dog trainer and worked with him for years. Your babies will be taken care of with me, no worries at all! I’m used to taking my dogs on multiple lengthy walks a day because we moved into an apartment. I have a pretty flexible schedule, so I can work around you! I will follow their instructions and take care of them as they would themselves. I can crate them and work with them on simple training tasks if needed.
“Gabriel was so helpful checking in on my cats while I was away. He checked their food and water each visit, and also gave them treats. He even brought in packages that were delivered to my door which is really appreciated. My cats are generally OK by themselves, but Gabriel gave me the peace of mind knowing he was checking on them. Highly recommended and trustworthy.”

“Skylar is AMAZING! This was our first time using the Rover app, and we could not have selected a better person to do the drop-in visits for our pups over a long weekend. She kept us posted (in detail), sent us lots of pictures each visit, and made sure that they were well fed, walked, and cared for. We will absolutely be asking for Skylar’s help again.”

About: I have 12 years of experience sitting and walking dogs and puppies. I have 6 years of experience caring for senior pets. I am highly trusted and rated across multiple pet care sites. I have just made the return to Rover. I love to love animals and will give your fur baby the same that I give my own. I am a retired veteran and student. I primarily work from home when I am not travelling. I create my own schedule, so I am available whenever I am needed. I am currently utilizing TrustedHouseSitters as well. I treat a client's home better than my own. I know how important it is for an animal to feel safe and secure in their own environment which is why I opt for pet/plant/house sitting over boarding. I always ensure to be communicative with the host about the wellbeing of their fur baby. I understand it is hard to leave a part of the family with someone else. I know that there will be no worries leaving them in my care after we have met and properly gone over your instructions and preferences.
About: I have grown up with all different kinds of pets. Along with watching friends pets, I have worked for companies such as United Paws and Wag. I can do early mornings and evenings, I am in the military so that takes up my time from 9-1700. I do have Saturdays and Sundays off. I will care for the pets as if they are my own. Lots of love and playing and treats if permitted. Pet deserve full attention and that is what they will get.
“Stephanie is the absolute best!!! 🐶❤️ Whenever I need someone to take care of Cooper, I never hesitate to call her. She treats him with so much love, like he’s her own. Even when she’s not available, she always tries to make time just to come see Cooper. We are so grateful to have her!”

“I can't recommend Jada enough! From the very first drop-in visit, she exceeded every expectation. She was always on time, followed every single instruction perfectly, and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. My dog absolutely adored her, which says everything. It's obvious she genuinely loves animals and took the time to make him feel comfortable, happy, and cared for during every visit. She also went above and beyond by leaving my home spotless. My dog's meal prep can be a little messy, but she cleaned everything up each time without being asked. As a pet parent, it's hard to trust someone new with your furry family member, but I wouldn't hesitate to book her again. She is reliable, thoughtful, attentive, and truly goes the extra mile. I'm honestly surprised she doesn't have more reviews yet because she absolutely deserves them. If you're considering booking her, do it, you and your pets will be in excellent hands!”

“Margaret did a wonderful job dropping in on our cat while we were out of town. She was awesome at communicating and keeping us informed of what was going on and sent very cute pictures of him while we were away.”

“We are so grateful for Nathaly for caring for our pups while we enjoyed a little day trip. She was available last minute for us and gave us the peace of mind that our Lucy and Odin would be cared for while we were out. She was communicative with us and shared pictures of our pups as well. Our Lucy can be a bit timid and Nathaly was great working with her. Would definitely book again and recommend Nathaly to others as well!”

About: I have been a dog lover my entire life and have cared for dogs since I was about 10 years old. I’ve had the privilege of having many different breeds and mixed breeds as part of my family, so I have a lot of varied experience. You can count on me for happy paws and lots of tail wags! I am available to walk or drop in on your dog during the day on weekdays! The hours would be between 9-12:30 Monday through Thursday. We currently have a chocolate lab who is 8 years old and is such a sweetheart. She loves to play fetch in our backyard and go on walks with the family. I plan to treat your dog with the same love and care as my own.

About: I’ve worked professionally with animals for over a year and have experience caring for dogs, cats, and exotic pets of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. I previously worked at a dog boarding facility, where I cared for pets with a wide range of needs, including administering medications, caring for senior pets, handling anxious and reactive animals, and following individualized care routines. I currently work as a kennel technician at a veterinary hospital, where I am learning more about animal health and daily medical care. I’m comfortable administering oral medications, giving insulin injections, and safely giving pills to pets that are hesitant to take them with food. I understand how important it is to carefully monitor pets for changes in behavior, appetite, or overall well-being. At home, I also care for 3 cats and 2 lizards, giving me firsthand experience with both traditional and exotic pets. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, elderly, or has special medical needs, I’ll treat them with the same patience, attention, and compassion that I give every animal I care for. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they’re in experienced hands. :) I currently work full-time at a veterinary hospital on a rotating schedule, so my workdays vary from week to week. Because of that, I keep my availability updated regularly. Even on days that I’m working, I’m often available to provide drop-in visits before work, after work, or during other available times depending on my schedule. On my days off, I have much greater flexibility and can accommodate multiple visits or longer stays. I am currently only accepting bookings no longer than 2 weeks. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I’ll always communicate my availability clearly before booking and make sure your pet receives reliable, attentive care. If you have specific timing needs, feel free to reach out. I’m happy to discuss whether I can accommodate them! I believe the best care comes from keeping your pet’s routine as consistent as possible while you’re away. During each visit, I’ll make sure your pet has fresh food and water, potty breaks or litter box care, exercise, playtime, and plenty of love and attention based on their individual personality and needs. I’m happy to administer medications as directed, follow special feeding instructions, and accommodate senior pets or those with medical needs. I always pay close attention to a pet’s behavior and well-being and will let you know immediately if I notice anything concerning. I am totally okay with sending photo and video updates so you can see how your pet is doing. Whether your pet loves to play, cuddle, go for walks, or simply have someone sit quietly with them, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for until you return. :)) At this time, I primarily provide care in my clients’ homes to help pets stay comfortable in their familiar environment. I may also be able to care for small caged pets in my home on a case-by-case basis.

“All 3 of my dogs enjoyed spending time with Ms. Tyreika during the day to get a potty break and some enrichment/snuggle time. She sent me photos each day and gave me peace of mind that my dogs were well taken care of while I was away.”

About: I've been around dogs all my life. My grandparents were breeders for Scotties, Cocker Spaniels and Terriers. My personal pets have been Velvet a cooker spaniel, Tobby a shepherd/lab mix, Doobee a shepherd/collie mix and my current cohort is Harley a 50 lb mixed breed rescue from texas. I have completed over 18 months of weekly training with Harley culminating with AKC canine good citizen certificate. What i learned from that experience was the importance and significance of consistency. Additionally that I am trained to be as consistent as possible in providing the type of care that you prefer for your pet. I'm retired so I am usually available anytime and can do same day appointments. I'm usually up before 6am and keep late night hours also so please feel free to contact me anytime. I have a fenced yard and can easily crate your pet if needed. I have one pet friendly dog at home if your pet likes company. I do not have any children living at my home.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
