About: Hi! I’m Gabriel, a veteran, teacher, and lifelong animal lover with plenty of experience caring for dogs. I’m dependable, attentive, and treat every pet like my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. I live in an apartment but only board one dog at a time, so your pet gets plenty of individual attention. I’m very active and enjoy long walks, and there’s a dog park nearby where I can take your dog to run and play. As a teacher in a year-round district, I also have extended breaks when I’m available for full-time pet care, which works well for longer trips or vacations. I look forward to giving your pet great care and giving you peace of mind. I’m available to board most weekends and especially during my school breaks since I work on a year-round schedule. On workdays I’m off by 3:00 PM, which allows me to stop by homes in the afternoon and evening to care for pets. My Home: I have one dog named Libby who can keep your pup company. I only take one additional dog at a time, so your pet will receive plenty of individual attention. I also live near the Cape Fear River Trail and walk it regularly, so your dog will get plenty of outdoor time and exercise. Client’s Home: When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m respectful, attentive, and professional. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully to make sure your pet stays comfortable and in their normal routine.

About: I have spent my entire life socializing, exercising, training, grooming, and looking after dogs. I have experience with dogs of all ages (puppies, adults, seniors), as well as most large-breed/high-energy dogs. I am very active and love walking, hiking, running, swimming, etc. with dogs! My home is cozy, dog-friendly, and is located close to several dog parks, hiking trails, and river access points. Dogs in my care will experience diligent care as well as exercise and fun activities that are tailored to their energy-levels. I am available for overnight stays as well as dog-walking on weekdays and weekends. Please contact me if you would like to know more about my availability! I currently work part time from home and have lots of time on my hands for fun activities/exercise or also relaxing on the couch with a buddy! I make my dog’s safety and comfort my number one priority and always do the same for any clients and their dogs. I am extremely dedicated to making all dogs’ lives as full and enriched as possible! I’m currently working from home and have lots of time to socialize and exercise dogs! During the summer, we like long walks in the mornings and evenings and shorter walks during the hotter hours of the day. I have a fenced in yard for bathroom breaks during the day. I always make sure to do lots of exercise walks during the day. I’m very tidy and will take great care of your home if you prefer a house sitting!

About: I have been a pet owner for my entire life. I've had dogs, cats, fish, chinchillas, ferrets, lizards, and turtles. I've bathed them, taken them for walks, brushed them, cleaned kennels/tanks, fed them, and played with them. I have experience with dogs as big as bull mastiffs and as small as teacup poodles. I currently work a part time job as a park ranger assistant, taking care of the animals at the park and running programs. I usually work a couple days a week, for about 3 hours or so. I can always come before and after to care for your pets. I am also willing to do overnight and weekend care as well. I understand how nerve wrecking it is to have a stranger in your home, taking care of your pets. However, I promise to have the most respect for your home and for your pets. I have been to many homes over the years and I have treated them all like I would my own home. Your pet is comfiest at home, which I respect! I am also willing to take dogs for walks around the neighborhood and even to the dog park if you trust me to drive them there.

About: Hi! I have over 9 years of pet sitting and taking care of pet experience! I used to work in a dog shelter where there was a quick need for dogs in quick care and for fun playtimes! My husband and I take care of dogs together it helps me especially if the dog is very big and tuff! I am very organized and I am quick to get tasks done. I am also bilingual in Spanish and English just in case so there’s no language barrier I also have a sweet dog of my own. I genuinely love dogs and I just love to see them happy it doesn’t take them much to please them and to make their day which I truly have the experience and capability to be able to do that for your dog :) I work a part time as a paralegal. I space out my hours for pet care so I can be able to give any potential furry friend the care that is needed! :) I live in an apartment complex that has a dog park nearby and my nice quiet neighborhood is walking distance from middle school and gym. Currently right now my dog has been staying with my mom so she can get that company only for this summer! So I look forward to having the opportunity through Rover. I mostly do this for fun and supplemental income in my free time! I have a very flexible schedule! And I do same day bookings because things do happen! I am quick to respond in any form of communication look forward to working with you!

About: As a 23-year-old honorably discharged U.S. Army veteran from Fayetteville, NC, I've always had a deep love for dogs. Growing up in a home with multiple furry family members, I gained hands-on experience in their daily care, including feeding and watering routines, energetic walks to keep them healthy and happy, and administering medications as needed. I've taken care of both young and senior dogs and am aware of their limitations and needs. My military service has instilled in me a strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and attention to detail—qualities that ensure your pets and home are in safe, capable hands. Whether it's a quick walk around the neighborhood or overnight house sitting, I'm committed to providing personalized, reliable care tailored to your dog's needs. Let's connect and give your pup the adventure they deserve! PS: That's my GSD Rika in the pic with me! I am currently available to care for your pets 24/7, so you name the day and time, and if I don't have another pet care appointment, I'll be there! Since I have pups of my own, I will need to care for your pets at your home. I can provide feeding, watering, walking, tossing the ball, and standard play. I hurt my knee in the army, so I can't run with your pet. But you name the pet activity, and I'll try!

As a reliable and experienced pet sitter, your pup will enjoy daily walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles while you’re away. I currently work Monday-Friday, but I have an extremely flexible schedule. I usually come home around 11-12 for my lunch break and I am free most weekends. I provide a safe, loving environment for every dog I care for. While I don’t have a fenced yard, I take my dog Bo to nearby parks to run and play, and I give every pup plenty of neighborhood walks for exercise and enrichment. I closely supervise all playtime to make sure each dog feels comfortable and loved. I’d be happy to arrange a meet-and-greet with Bo!

We take pride in creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment that helps your pet feel at home while you’re away. We send daily updates and photos, follow your care instructions closely, and treat your pet like family. Our clients appreciate our communication, flexibility, and dedication. Many return again and again! 🐶 For Dog Parents: 🏡 Home & Yard Setup: • Large fully fenced backyard for exercise, play, and sunbathing. • Three rooms in the house, separated with gates for comfort and safety. • Indoor and outdoor security cameras for peace of mind. • Dogs are crated when we step away from the house to ensure everyone stays safe. If your dog needs solo accommodations or doesn’t get along with others, just let us know in advance. • Please ensure your dog arrives clean for their stay. Note: Unfortunately I cannot accept boarding bookings for unneutered male dogs. I would be happy to do house visits instead. 🌙 Nighttime Routine: We stick to your dog’s usual bedtime habits, whether that means a crate, a special blanket, or cuddling on the couch. Just let us know what helps your pup feel secure at night! 🐾 Behavioral Support: We’re experienced with shy, anxious, or high energy dogs and can accommodate special routines or extra space if needed. Communication is key, let us know your dog’s quirks and we’ll take care of the rest. 🐕 Resident Dogs: • Archer and Xeena are playful and full of energy, great for social dogs! • Koda is sweet and mellow, she prefers human company and usually hangs out in our bedroom. All three are medium sized, dog and cat friendly, and well socialized. 🐱 Resident Cats: • Zuko is our playful kitten who acts more like a dog. • Calypso prefers her independence and lounges in her cat tree, but she’s dog aware and unbothered. I have experience caring for a variety of animals including dogs, rabbits, and reptiles. About: I had a high-energy pointer/setter mix growing up and have always defaulted to caring for dogs as I did Jazzie--getting their energy out but knowing when they're tuckered. I commonly pet sit for my cousin and coworkers in Alaska where leashes were important to protect against wild animal encounters, so I can assure you I will be careful to get your pet home safe and happy! I currently work a mix of seasonal and rotational geology jobs in remote Alaska. My husband and I just moved here, so I'm finding a meaningful way to spend free time while staying active whenever I can! Happy to get out of the house when pets need! I am happy to follow detailed instructions on how you like your pet cared for including double checking all locks, gates, and fences. I will make sure they are properly leashed and a safe distance from others we meet on walks as well as providing as much or as little petting as they wish. I will treat them like my own and just hope to improve their day as they are improving mine.

About: Puppies need time, patience, and most of all fun! Most of the time, puppies are stripped away from their families and are just looking for their pack. It is very important to create a safe environment and show love towards dogs. They are our protectors, and we are their caregivers I am retired. Although my husband is in the military, I do have free time most of the week. I am more than willing to be flexible and to also be a routine caregiver. For both dogs and cats, I do have two cats and one dog. I understand that while my pets are family, they are all individuals. I will take the time to learn each pet as an individual and not generalize their species.

About: Hi! I am new to Rover but not new to dogs! I used to run a sled dog team in Alaska and now my own rescue crew (and fosters) has included pretty pibbles, barky beagles, high energy huskies, special care seniors, and cool cats & kittens, too. I've fostered for different rescues and volunteer to walk big dogs at the shelter. Let's chat about your pets and what they each need to thrive! Weekdays: I work remotely in the afternoons, so morning care is best for longer visits and field trips! Dinner/bedtime care available in evenings. Overnights and weekends available. I'm happy to care for pets at your home, and take them out for adventures if they'd like. I currently rent and am not able to board pets here. I'm experienced with crate and rotate scenarios (to keep certain dogs separate), helping seniors with mobility, and supporting dogs while on medical restrictions. I am used to extra steps for escape artists or separation anxiety pups, so don't be shy in letting me know your routines.

You can also easily keep in touch with your dog walker through messages on Rover for delightful photo updates. The Rover team is available 24/7, and your dog walker has access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals. In the rare event of any issues during a booking, rest easy knowing your dog is covered by the Rover Guarantee reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care.

Note: If your dog walker requested to cancel this booking, then they need to cancel from their account. Please contact them via Rover Messages.

We get it—sometimes plans change and you may need to cancel your dog walking service. You can cancel an upcoming booking directly from the Rover app or your computer, in accordance with your dog walker’s cancellation policy.
