About: Hi! I’m Gabriel, a veteran, teacher, and lifelong animal lover with plenty of experience caring for dogs. I’m dependable, attentive, and treat every pet like my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. I live in an apartment but only board one dog at a time, so your pet gets plenty of individual attention. I’m very active and enjoy long walks, and there’s a dog park nearby where I can take your dog to run and play. As a teacher in a year-round district, I also have extended breaks when I’m available for full-time pet care, which works well for longer trips or vacations. I look forward to giving your pet great care and giving you peace of mind. I’m available to board most weekends and especially during my school breaks since I work on a year-round schedule. On workdays I’m off by 3:00 PM, which allows me to stop by homes in the afternoon and evening to care for pets. My Home: I have one dog named Libby who can keep your pup company. I only take one additional dog at a time, so your pet will receive plenty of individual attention. I also live near the Cape Fear River Trail and walk it regularly, so your dog will get plenty of outdoor time and exercise. Client’s Home: When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m respectful, attentive, and professional. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully to make sure your pet stays comfortable and in their normal routine.

About: I have spent my entire life socializing, exercising, training, grooming, and looking after dogs. I have experience with dogs of all ages (puppies, adults, seniors), as well as most large-breed/high-energy dogs. I am very active and love walking, hiking, running, swimming, etc. with dogs! My home is cozy, dog-friendly, and is located close to several dog parks, hiking trails, and river access points. Dogs in my care will experience diligent care as well as exercise and fun activities that are tailored to their energy-levels. About: I have been a pet owner for my entire life. I've had dogs, cats, fish, chinchillas, ferrets, lizards, and turtles. I've bathed them, taken them for walks, brushed them, cleaned kennels/tanks, fed them, and played with them. I have experience with dogs as big as bull mastiffs and as small as teacup poodles. I currently work a part time job as a park ranger assistant, taking care of the animals at the park and running programs. I usually work a couple days a week, for about 3 hours or so. I can always come before and after to care for your pets. I am also willing to do overnight and weekend care as well. I understand how nerve wrecking it is to have a stranger in your home, taking care of your pets. However, I promise to have the most respect for your home and for your pets. I have been to many homes over the years and I have treated them all like I would my own home. Your pet is comfiest at home, which I respect! I am also willing to take dogs for walks around the neighborhood and even to the dog park if you trust me to drive them there.

It is very important to create a safe environment and show love towards dogs. They are our protectors, and we are their caregivers I am retired. Although my husband is in the military, I do have free time most of the week. I am more than willing to be flexible and to also be a routine caregiver. For both dogs and cats, I do have two cats and one dog. I understand that while my pets are family, they are all individuals. I will take the time to learn each pet as an individual and not generalize their species.
