“Kurt was great watching my puppy for a few days. He sent photos and provided tips for training her. My puppy seemed to like staying with Kurt and going to work and having playdates. I have a few more trips potentially soon and will check to see if Kurt will be available. I fully recommend Kurt for any petsitting needs you might have!”

“Maya had an amazing time while staying here! Waddell constantly sent pictures and messages throughout the entire time of her stay! He was very friendly and approachable when it came to communication. Thank you so much!”

“Stan Lee had a great time at Amanda’s for 6 days. She sent pictures twice a day and kept us updated. This was our first time with her but we’d feel comfortable using her again”

“Jess is phenomenal! Excellent and quick communication for a last minute booking. She took such great care of my senior dog and even sent me pictures during the stay. Bonnie wasn’t sure she wanted to leave 😆😅 Thank you again, Jess!”

“Lilli was absolutely amazing! Our girl is super shy and nervous but we had absolutely no worries about her being with Lilli, we got tons of updates and pictures and knew she was being cared for so well! Would absolutely recommend she provided peace of mind while we were away especially for a dog with a little more emotional needs!”

“My Harley had a great time I was very pleased with the care and the many updates that were sent without having to ask. When Harley first arrived he had an accident I’m thinking he was nervous out the car ride she understood didn’t make an issue out of it and we went on with the appointment. Harley didn’t want to leave 🤣😊 the home was clean and cool I will certainly be rebooking.”

“Blanca was amazing! She sent me pictures daily to check on my Molly, we even video call! The pre-meeting was a success as we got to meet her dogs and they were very playful with my dog. Her place was really close to me and she was very flexible about to drop off and pick up times. We will definitely use her again!”

“Lucia took the absolute best care of my dog! I received daily photos and videos and I could tell that my dog was having a great time with her. I could not recommend her enough!”

“Ashley is the best dog boarder my pups have stayed with. She gave detailed updates with pictures and completely put me at ease while out of town. I could not recommend her services more! My dogs were so happy and well taken care of. I will definitely be using Ashley’s services anytime I plan to be out of town!”

About: I’ve raised and taken care of all sizes and breeds of dogs since I was a little girl. I am experienced with puppies, senior dogs, all breed sizes, and anxious dogs who need a bit more nurturing. I’m currently working away from home Monday through Friday 8 hours a day. I am available during those days before 8am and after 4pm. Please feel free to ask further details about my availability. I prefer to take care of pets in your home. If in my home boarding is needed, please ask. I am comfortable crating, walking, or taking them to the dog park if they are dog friendly.
About: I have had dogs, all my life, from Chihuahuas up to German Shepards. I’ve had dogs who have had diabetes and cancer from the time they were puppies up to adult seniors. My dogs are my family, and they are spoiled rotten! I am retired and stay at home most of the time. The dogs are allowed to roam through the house as long as they behave themselves and they get plenty of treats exercise when playing outside. The only time my dog is kennel is when I need to go to a doctor appointment. My dog is a Weimaraner and black lab mix. She is a very hyper and loving dog who loves to play fetch with the ball. She is longing for a playmate, since her best friend passed away a few months ago.
“Caitlin was really amazing with my pup. She was able to watch him last minute & was very responsive! She made him feel comfortable and sent so many pictures. Would definitely use Caitlin to watch him again!”

“Marissa really worked with me in accommodating my kitties. I really appreciated it so much. She messaged me everyday with an update and pictures. Would definitely have her watch my cats again.”
“Jessica was a fantastic sitter! My dog really enjoyed his time with her and her family. She was very communicative and shared lots of pictures and videos. We would definitely have her care for our dog again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Parkton
What more can I say other than EXCELLENT! Definitely will rebook in the future. Great knowledge of dogs, very professional and overall I felt super comfortable and so did my puppy 😁. He communicated with me with any updates and gave full reassurance that my puppy was fine. And this I might add was my first time ever dropping my pet with anyone, and Dereck made me feel more than comfortable and assured. I highly recommend Dereck for your sitting needs 👏🏾
Dereck and his wife were amazing, and it’s not easy sending someone a five‑month‑old puppy to watch! I was so grateful for how excited Dereck was to care for my puppy, and I could immediately tell he would be a great sitter. When I arrived for drop‑off, my puppy instantly loved the family and became best friends with their one‑year‑old pup. Lena was recently abandoned when I found her, so it meant a lot that they helped build her confidence around people and showed her kindness through their own dogs. I will definitely be rebooking with Dereck for myself and recommending him to new clients as well.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
