“Ana was fantastic! She was very quick responding when trying to book a sitter. She is very flexible in drop off and pick up times, as well as setting up a meet and greet before hand! My 50lb German shepherd had a great time and would absolute rebook with her!”

“Nathan sent updates daily reassuring us that our pup was doing well. He was also flexible when our travel plans faced a delay. Would recommend to anyone who wants a safe and fun environment for their fur babies.”

“What a blessing to have found Kimmie!!! I was super anxious about leaving my little girl Emma...I am hardly ever without her!!! But Kimmie really put our minds at ease from the very first time we met and all through Emma's stay. We got lot's of updates and pictures, which made us feel so good. We were looking forward to "Emma and Kimmie texts" :) Kimmie really took care of Emma as if she was her own and I'm sure that my little princess was spoiled and loved on the whole time, including lots of play, walks and snuggles :) Kimmie will be our sitter for any future needs...no doubt about that!!! Thank you for taking such good care of our little girl <3”

“Ashley was amazing with Sosa. First, She was very accommodating. greeted us with a warm welcome. We will definitely use her again.Also. our Sosa loved her dog Emma!!! Ashley sent pictures and videos to kep us updated about his stay. Thank you Ashley for a wonderful time!!”

“Although this is the first Taylor’s sitting Kiki, I can tell Kiki was happy and comfortable at Taylor’s house and played along with Taylor’s dog, a golden retriever. Taylor’s daily photo and sms update of Kiki’s activities gave my wife and me a peace of mind. We are happy and thankful for Taylor’s care of Kiki. We will definitely ask Taylor for help again when needed.”

“Shilo loved his stay, he really respected her. She is an amazing sitter I would recommend her to anyone. I was really thankful she took him last minute. We will definitely come back to her in the future.”

“We love Natalie. Shes so sweet and my baby loves her just as much. She is so attentive. She updates you throughout the day and my sweet baby didn’t even notice I left. He’s comfortable when he’s with her and that hands down is the best feeling. Thank you Natalie for being the best. We already booked you again!”

“Haley is a fantastic addition to Rover. Having used Rover for around a year now, Haley is my third Rover. My first two both moved out of the area, and after the first stay with Haley I was confident that she can provide the care and attention that my dog needed. Her ability to watch my dog at a moments notice is highly appreciated and not available with most other sitters. She has an outstanding ability to watch after several dogs at a time and ensure each and everyone of their safety and wellbeing. I will continue to book Haley for all future stays, my dog Skye likes her and when we pull up she goes straight to the door and knows exactly where she is. Haley provides many photos to me during her stay and as you can see by her profile photos, even provided my girl with a pillow and blanket on the couch for her to sleep on. A+ rover, outstanding person and highly skilled in meeting the needs of your fur family!”

About: I became a dog mom at 19, and have been dog-sitting off and on ever since! While the extra income is always nice, I mainly do it to prevent coming home with a new puppy every week. I treat all the dogs I meet like they're my own and give them as much love as I do to my own babies - an 11 year old Lab mix and 6 year old German Shepherd! They both have loved every dog I've ever had staying at my house. I'm comfortable with all breeds and all ages, and have no problem giving medications if needed. I am available during the daytime for long walks and have a very flexible work schedule, which means a lot of play time for your pup! I’m currently working remote part-time and have the flexibility to choose my own hours, which means I have plenty of spare time during the day to spend with your pup! I treat your pets as if they are my own, giving them the same amount of love and attention if not more! I always make sure they are well cared for and that the client comes home to a clean house and happy pets!
“Kyra is always SO happy when she gets to Alex’s house and has an absolute blast the whole time she is there. Alex is great about sharing videos and pictures with me while I am gone for my own piece of mind. The biggest thing for me is she is always super happy to see him when we arrive for drop off which says so much about how she is treated. I never feel bad driving away because I know she is in such good hands and happy.”

“Michel and her family did awesome keeping my baby boy for 10 days. She sent updates and text every morning and every night. She’s sent lots of pictures of my baby. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!! Will definitely be using her again. Such a loving family. My dog left happy and he had a great stay. 10 out of 10 😊😊”

“Jayda was amazing with my dog and kept me updated daily with photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. I could tell my pup was well cared for and happy. Highly recommend!”

“Maria was very loving and so sweet with my 2 dogs. She sent videos and pictures of them every day while I was away. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to board their dogs.”

Very accommodating, animals love her, we will be using her again I just hope she’s not too busy. She is the ideal pet watcher. Let’s you know how your pets are doing without being annoying. Let’s you enjoy your vacation or whatever trip you are on. No hassle.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
