“Kasey and Adam, along with their son and other dogs are AMAZING babysitters with a true love for furry babies. Yes, our girls are our babies and we did not feel nervous at all leaving them both for almost a week during Christmas. Kasey is awesome with staying in touch daily so you don't even need to ask how they are doing. She sends lots of photos, too! Our decision to have the girls stay with this family on their property (which is heaven for furry babies and humans, too) was the best we made and allowed us to fully enjoy our trip out of state. They will be our first call for play care and longer stays for sure!!!”

“Finn was well taken care of with Haley! I received updates and photos during his stay. Finn receives medicine twice a day and Haley was very accommodating and was able to give him his medicine. I will definitely be booking Haley again for future boarding services!”

“Taylor did a great job with our Old English Bully. Our Luna is a high energy unique Bully and Taylor was able to keep up! Taylor has great communication and she is mindful about the dogs needs and behaviors. Luna had a great time and we were able to relax and enjoy our time away.”

“We love Natalie. Shes so sweet and my baby loves her just as much. She is so attentive. She updates you throughout the day and my sweet baby didn’t even notice I left. He’s comfortable when he’s with her and that hands down is the best feeling. Thank you Natalie for being the best. We already booked you again!”

“Ashley and her family are awesome! We are so happy to have found a family that takes care of Bella just like we would in our absence. Her communication is great and she responds right away if we have any questions. We have used them on multiple occasions and will continue to in the future.”

About: I became a dog mom at 19, and have been dog-sitting off and on ever since! While the extra income is always nice, I mainly do it to prevent coming home with a new puppy every week. I treat all the dogs I meet like they're my own and give them as much love as I do to my own babies - an 11 year old Lab mix and 6 year old German Shepherd! They both have loved every dog I've ever had staying at my house. I'm comfortable with all breeds and all ages, and have no problem giving medications if needed. I am available during the daytime for long walks and have a very flexible work schedule, which means a lot of play time for your pup! I’m currently working remote part-time and have the flexibility to choose my own hours, which means I have plenty of spare time during the day to spend with your pup! I treat your pets as if they are my own, giving them the same amount of love and attention if not more! I always make sure they are well cared for and that the client comes home to a clean house and happy pets!
“Emily was absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond for my pups. She gave plenty of updates and took the best care of our boys. She was super accommodating and I absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a good Dogsitter.”

“Mae was a wonderful dog sitter!! Our older dog loved her time with Mae. She was professional, sent lots of pictures, and adjusted to the silly schedule we ended up having that weekend. Overall, a very wonderuful weekend.”

“This was my first time booking with Sierra and I was a nerves reck because I had never left my boys with anyone. But when I met Sierra she had a beautiful calmness about her that made me feel at ease. She was so welcoming and understanding. Sierra was very flexible and accommodating to my arrival time and pick up time changes. She kept me updated by sending messages and lots photos. She had a huge yard so I know my dogs loved it there. If I could give her 10 stars I would. She did an amazing job with my boys. So, I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Desiree did an excellent job with our two dogs. She was friendly, responsive, and professional. She has the perfect set up to care for your animals and she sends timely updates and photos during the stay. I strongly recommend booking with her.”

“Shannon and her family were so sweet to my boy. They treated Tito like one of their own. I received updates, pictures and videos throughout the entire stay. My little guy had so much fun running around their open space. Will definitely use Shannon again and again.”

“Niki is very caring and great to work with. Our transactions were smooth from the meet up, to drop off and all the way through pick up. She really cares for dogs. Niki sent pictures to us while we were away, telling us how our dog was adjusting. If she’d accept Copper again, we’d be happy to use her as a dog sitter again.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Taylor! She was extremely communicative from start to finish, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She was easy to work with, reliable, and clearly cared about our pet’s well-being. She kept us updated regularly and followed all instructions perfectly.”

“What a blessing to have found Kimmie!!! I was super anxious about leaving my little girl Emma...I am hardly ever without her!!! But Kimmie really put our minds at ease from the very first time we met and all through Emma's stay. We got lot's of updates and pictures, which made us feel so good. We were looking forward to "Emma and Kimmie texts" :) Kimmie really took care of Emma as if she was her own and I'm sure that my little princess was spoiled and loved on the whole time, including lots of play, walks and snuggles :) Kimmie will be our sitter for any future needs...no doubt about that!!! Thank you for taking such good care of our little girl <3”

“Kyra is always SO happy when she gets to Alex’s house and has an absolute blast the whole time she is there. Alex is great about sharing videos and pictures with me while I am gone for my own piece of mind. The biggest thing for me is she is always super happy to see him when we arrive for drop off which says so much about how she is treated. I never feel bad driving away because I know she is in such good hands and happy.”

“I couldn't be happier with the care my boys received! Casey kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. My boys came home happy and well cared for. I highly recommend Casey to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter. I will definitely book with her again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Pinehurst
Victor took great care of Pae while we were away. He sent constant updates, which gave us so much peace of mind knowing Pae was happy and doing well. Victor already had the best ratings, so we felt confident booking with him, and he absolutely lived up to them. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be using Victor again in the future. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough great things about this dog sitting family! My two dogs absolutely adored their two kiddos! They enjoyed playing outside with the family's dog, Yogi. Even Rowen, who usually prefers staying inside, joined in on the fun and had a wonderful time.🤗 I felt at ease the whole time I was out of town because they kept me updated and sent pictures. 10/10 would recommend 👌🏽

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
