“First time leaving my pups but Erin put my anxious mind at ease with great communication and sharing pictures every visit. She was so great with Belle and Baloo and I could tell from the photos they really loved her! A true animal lover and my new go-to sitter!”

“Tawny was excellent with our two dogs. They loved her and had no issues while we were gone. She listened to and executed all instructions to a tee. She was also very flexible with our last minute weekend trip. We will use her primarily again if she's available and would highly recommend her to anyone.”

“Melissa was an amazing pet sitter. She was on time for check ins and gave a thorough report of activities. We will definitely be reaching out to Melissa again!”

“Victoria did a wonderful job! I just moved here and my two cats were adjusting and she was caring and understanding of their new environment. She showed up at the requested times and sent many pictures and reassured me that they were doing well. I would definitely request her again and recommend her to anyone!”
“Alyson is the BEST! She is wonderful with our pup and has been so accommodating. We highly recommend Alyson and will hope she is available whenever we are in North Carolina!”

“Jennifer made our booking and our care for Sam and Ranger extra easy! This was our first time using Rover and I am definitely resorting to this instead of boarding. She was punctual and updated us on the care for every visit. The doggos loved staying in the comfort of their home and having a new friend to stop by and play.”

About: Growing up, my home was a zoo, as I had two cats, a dog, several fish, and a turtle! I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was 12 years old, petsitting for family, friends, neighbors, and more! Once I got my license, I started working as a petsitter more regularly with dogs and cats of every kind all over town! I have also worked a part-time summer job at a dog boarding facility since 2018. Here, I assist with daily facility operations and client communication and deliver attentive care by monitoring feeding schedules, exercise, safety, and overall wellbeing of the dogs. Looking forward to meeting and loving on your fur babies! I am a college student home for the summer and do not currently have a job. This means that I am very flexible and available to provide pet care in the Pinehurst area until I move back in on the 14th of August! I am used to waking up at 5:30 every morning, so I have plenty of time to get all my ToDo's done and work pet care into my schedule! Depending on individual client needs, I always prioritize safety, health, and overall well being of the pets I care for. I make sure to keep a watchful eye on your fur babies, walk or exercise them daily (with no extra charge), and feed them according to the schedule provided by their owners. I keep doors locked at all times, and make sure to treat the environment I am in with respect by keeping things tidy and neat. I also will love on and pet your fur babies and send lots of pictures to you so you can see what your pet is up to each day!
“I have booked with her many times and she always does an excellent job. One day while I was out of town, she even took the time to help a poor lost dog that had taken refuge on my front porch. She is a great pet sitter and a very compassionate person!”

“Hannah is the best! This is the second time she has taken care of our dogs for us and she was amazing. She took care of all their needs and really made them feel loved. We were gone for a few days and she was great at communicating with us and letting us know how everything was going and we could tell our two little buddies were so happy. She is definitely at the top of the list when we need someone on Rover!”

“Izzy is awesome! She has a very calm and positive attitude towards taking care of our dogs. We were running late one night and she happened to be driving by our house from another one of her clients, she reached out to me to see if she could be of help because she remembered our dogs 5pm feeding time! Incredible! Love her!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me time and time again to look after their pets (and even their plants), and it’s something I genuinely enjoy. I share my home with my sweet lab mix, Congo, and my newly adopted cat, Mayo, who bring so much joy into my life. I’ve also spent years house‑sitting and pet‑sitting, and my time working in the local restaurant industry has taught me to be dependable, patient, and attentive. I treat every pet with the same love and comfort I give my own! I’m a local college student with a flexible schedule, which gives me plenty of time to give your pets attention, playtime, and consistent care. I follow safe walking practices with secure leash handling and close awareness of my surroundings. I also stick to your dog’s usual training and routine to keep them comfortable.
“Love Emerald and so did Harry. She was prompt with times agreed upon. Made time to visit and meet Harry prior to our trip. Left detailed follow ups and photos that allowed us to enjoy our time away.”

About: As a US Navy veteran and former firefighter/EMT, I bring a meticulous attention to detail that ensures your pet’s care instructions are followed precisely. You can rest assured that your beloved companion will be cared for on the agreed-upon date and time, and that they are in capable loving hands with me. I possess a profound affinity for animals and have extensive experience in providing care for a diverse range of animal breeds both feline and canine. I have dedicated over 30 years to nurturing animals of various sizes and complexities. My calming demeanor and compassionate approach enable me to treat your four-legged family members with the utmost care and affection. I am currently going back to college that is self paced and have pretty much an open schedule to care for your pets. I utilize my weekends to spend time with my family and prefer not to book pet care on weekends. I possess a professional mindset and work ethic. I will adhere to your care instructions as outlined and demonstrate respect for your property, pets, and time.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Pinehurst
Campbell took amazing care for our pups, I couldn't have asked for a sweeter, more considerate, understanding, and flexible sitter. She took the time to cater to each of our pets needs individually, and managed a few accidents and messes professionally and perfectly. I highly recommend her for anything you or your babies could need. Thank you Campbell!

Jennifer and her son were kind and helpful for us while we travelled! Our little fur baby was relaxed when we returned home which is a real feat, and they even sent a picture of our house to help us understand the extent of some storm-related damage before returned home. We'd love to work with them again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pinehurst. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
