Veterinary Clinic Experience

I love animals and grew up on the farm with many varieties. I was in 4H and FFA and won state championships in many categories involving animal husbandry. I have even cared for foxes! But being single and in the Army makes it challenging to ethically have one of your own. But that's not to say I cant "barrow" and help in the care and love for others. Not to mention spoil them! I will model your parenting approach to your pet. Your pet will be a member of our family while with us. What ever rules or privileges you have at your house will be reciprocated here. (on or off furniture, sleeping in the bed ect). Your pet will return the same or better than when you dropped them off. My mom was a veterinarian and I have worked in a few clinics over the years myself. I have experience in surgery, medications to include injections, post surgery care, behavior and more. I have worked with pets with spinal injurys, hip dysplasia, seniors, allergies and even blind dogs. My home is fenced in and we are next to a greenway for the best walk/runs. Iv boarded and fostered many over the years for friends before ever hearing about this app. Needless to say this app does not show my full experience or full history.

Amazing!! This was the first time leaving our pup with anyone besides family but Kurt made him feel right at home!! From our meet and greet, I could tell how much Kurt cares and loves for animals. He sent us so many pictures and kept us updated daily! I felt a sense of calm knowing our dog was safe and happy! Will use Kurt again!!

Kurt was great with my senior dog. I appreciated the pictures and video updates of Glenda during her stay with Kurt. He is very reliable, knowledgeable, and has excellent communication. Definitely recommend! Glenda is already looking forward to her next stay :)

Kurt is exactly what we were looking for! We unfortunately had a bad experience with a previous sitter and now our Bella is a bit anxious. He made her feel right at home and she loves him! He clearly has a lot of experience caring for pets. We will be back!

Kurt was amazing. This never happened to me before but I had somehow booked two simultaneous rover bookings for the same weekend and ended up dropping the dogs off with him a day late. He was super patient with me and very communicative. Really appreciate him and his awesome son. Thank you again for having us!

Schedule

I pretty much make my own schedule. I'm up by 430, come home after working out, then again at lunch, and am home by 3:30-4:30pm.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has no pets
Children 6-12 years old
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 4-8 hours

Safety, trust & environment

We have a fenced in back yard in a very quit subdivision. We have safe walks with almost zero traffic but are also near a greenway. I am 1 minute away from a veterinarian and 8 minutes away from an emergency care clinic. Not that either will be needed. I know dog CPR (yes its different) and with a pin can even restart natural breathing with out a ventilator.

A typical day

We reciprocate your home rules and privileges (being on the couch, bed, begging, food routine). We do what you do. This makes it easy for your pet and ensures no new habits but lots of love. We will take walks in our neighborhood with lots of palying, running and squirrel chasing in the back yard. If they are good in the truck I will even take them running with me to Sandhills or Saluda trails. If you would like to socialize them with other dogs I even have freinds that can bring their dogs for dogy play dates.
