“Samantha did a great job visiting my Moxie. She visited her and walked her. She did more than requested and Moxie was tired out from all the attention. Samantha sent a lot of pictures of the visit, which aloud me to see how much fun Moxie was having. I will be using her again!”

“She was so patient and kind to my baby! Duce is such a cuddle bear but can sometimes be intimidating because of his size and his breed but she was so confident and did such a great job with him!”

“Amber watched my 13 year old Doxie Rikki and she was amazing!! She left detailed updates during both drop ins including cute pics of my dog and kitties! She also was able to approve the booking last minute which I was so thankful for! Will definitely book with Amber again!”

About: Hi! My name is Gaby and I have grown up with dogs my whole life. My own GSD is now 14. My priority with your animals is safety and meeting the wants + needs of your baby. I also have five rescue cats! If you’re looking for someone versed in cats and pristine litter boxes, I’m your girl. I am a registered volunteer with TARA animal shelter & rescue, and on weekends you can find me hanging out with the cats at Blind Cat Rescue in St. Pauls. I am currently serving military families stationed at Fort Bragg. I am a stay at home mom and a online college student, my schedule remains pretty flexible. I am available most weekdays and some weekends. I will treat your home like my own. Directions and instructions will be followed appropriately. Spaces will be kept tidy. Animals will always be excellently cared for.
“Haley is very attentive to my 4 cats, she goes above and beyond to make sure they are cared for and my mind is at ease when traveling. Absolutely recommend her as a pet sitter!”

About: I started dog and cat sitting when I was 16 as a side hustle while I was in school, and it quickly became something I genuinely love. I grew up in a house full of animals — dogs, cats, chickens, bunnies, even hermit crabs — so caring for pets has always been second nature to me. I’m comfortable with high-energy pups, shy kitties, and multi-pet households. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your babies, and I treat every animal like they’re my own. As a stay at home wife, I have a very flexible schedule and am available throughout the day for walks and drop-ins. Early mornings, midday check-ins, or late evenings are no problem. I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine! I love keeping my own pets on a consistent schedule, and I can definitely be a little picky about how things are done — so I completely understand wanting things done a certain way. I’ll follow your instructions exactly as written, stick to your pet’s normal routine, and respect your home like it’s my own. My goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible for both you and your pets.
About: I grew up with my sweet dog starting at age 12, who is currently living back home in Korea with my family. Since she was just a one month old tiny pup, I personally trained her, including complete indoor peepad training (super common in Korean homes) as well as basic manners and commands. Honestly, I miss my dog in Korea so much that I’m longing to have furry friends around me again!🐶 As a lifelong animal lover, I promise to care for your baby with the exact same devotion, warmth, and love that I give my own. I am currently at home full-time, which means I have a super flexible schedule and plenty of quality time to dedicate to your pet! I am available every day of the week for dog walking, daycare, and overnight boarding at my home. Since I'm home most of the day, your fur baby will rarely be left alone and will receive endless love, play, and attention! Safety is my top priority! Since I recently moved in, my living room is simple with very little furniture, and I intend to keep it empty and spacious. This creates a clean, obstacle-free environment where your dog can move around safely without any risk of bumping into things or knocking items over. I always keep a close eye on them, stick to their routines, and send photo updates throughout the day!

“Margaret did a wonderful job dropping in on our cat while we were out of town. She was awesome at communicating and keeping us informed of what was going on and sent very cute pictures of him while we were away.”

About: Hello there! 😊 A little bit about me: I’ve always been surrounded by a joyful whirlwind of pets in my home. However, dogs and cats have been the primary pets that I have nurtured and cared for. From cozy pet-sitting adventures to warmly welcoming strays, fostering little miracles, and adopting furry friends, it’s been my passion for 12 wonderful years with all sorts of furry personalities. I truly enjoy being around animals and look forward to caring for your fur baby. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions! Currently, I work from home which allows me the flexibility to accommodate needs for your pets. My availability is generally open and flexible during the week. Can’t wait to help! I have a gate inside my home that separates the kitchen area ensuring your pet is not in harms way. Plus, my sweet, friendly pup Canelo will be able to keep your pet company as well!
“Jessica took such great care of our two cats! She asked thoughtful questions about their care from the start, sent check-in photos of them everytime, and was overall a delight to work with. It’s clear she’s a true animal lover and takes caring for them seriously. Highly recommend!”

“It was such a pleasure having Caitlyn care for our furry friends. We were able to relax and enjoy our TDY/mini-vacay with no worries or problems. She was able to draw out our shy girl and give our nosy boy the attention he needed.”

About: I grew up with several family pets cats and dogs and am very familiar with attentive care. I have a dog of my own that I pee pad trained I am a full time nanny working from 12-7 Monday-Friday. I am available in the mornings and on certain weekends when I am not watching my brother run track! I prefer to only care for pets in the clients home as that is where your pet will feel most comfortable and safe especially with a stranger around!
About: Hi my name is Kristi, I’m originally from Texas, and grew up with all kinds of pets throughout my life. Cats, dogs, hamsters, frogs, fish, turtles, rabbits, ducks, parrots. For the most part I love to spoil them, so please let me know if you are strict about treats or specific type of training like staying off furniture. I currently only have a dog (cavapoo), and she does well with cats and dogs and kids. I am very flexible and accommodating as long as it makes since, is safe, and appropriate for both myself, you and fur babies involved. On some occasions I can also manage last minute request, if I am in town. For the most part I am all ears at to catering to what you would like and need for your pet to have and experience while with me. We will stay in close contact and I will send pictures and keep you updated throughout the stay😊
“Ivy was amazing with our senior car, Muffin. She gave detailed summaries of the visits and sent cute photos! I will definitely be using her the next time Muffin needs a sitter. :)”
About: I have cared for multiple different breeds of dogs through out my life. I love animals and treat them as my own. No dog is to big or to wild to be cared for and loved for and duration of time I am comfortable with giving medication when needed, and have experience with basic obedience in animals. All ages are welcome I do work so drop in sitting would only be on the weekends. I can care for pets over night and pet sit cats as much as needed. Over nights are more than welcome at anytime, as well as checking on pets in their own home I have a fenced in yard. I also walk daily when pet sitting and the pets have full access to my home as if they were part of our own family.
About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life! I grew up caring for dogs of all different breeds and sizes, and I now have two babies of my own—Tucker, my English Golden Retriever, and Simba, my cat. They mean the absolute world to me, and whether we’re relaxing at home or heading out on an adventure, they’re always part of my life. I have over 9 years of experience caring for my own pets, along with 2 years of fostering experience. Through fostering, I’ve cared for animals with different personalities, ages, backgrounds, and needs including both dogs and cats. It has taught me patience, adaptability, and how important it is to make every animal feel safe and comfortable. I bring that same love and compassion to other people’s pets that I give my own. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care, whether it’s for boarding, daycare, a walk, or just a quick drop in visit. I’m dependable, attentive, and will always treat your pets like they’re part of my own family. I’m excited to begin offering pet care services here in Fayetteville as I finish out my military contract. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pets and give them plenty of love, attention, and care while you’re away! 🐾 I work Monday through Friday, but my schedule still gives me plenty of flexibility for pet care! I typically start work around 9:30 AM, have an hour-and-a-half lunch break during the day, and am finished by 4:00 PM. On Fridays, I’m usually done by 2:00 PM. I also have weekends completely off, giving me plenty of availability for boarding, daycare, walks, drop-in visits, and lots of quality time with your pets. I’m happy to work with you to find a schedule that fits your pet’s normal routine! I live in a pet friendly town home with my own dog and cat, who are both very important parts of my life. I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and comfort level, so I always take the time to learn what makes each pet feel safe and comfortable. I follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, walking routines, and any other directions you provide. Whether your pet is staying with me or I’m caring for them in your home, I’ll treat them and your space with the same care and respect I would want someone to give my own.
“Jazmine is very on top of doing her drop ins. I never had to ask at all if she was coming. She was very caring towards our dogs. We will be using her again for future trips.”

Megan is an absolute gem! She is such a sweet, kind, and caring soul who took wonderful care of our Remy. She went above and beyond in every aspect of his care, while keeping us wonderfully informed and showing great flexibility the entire time. We couldn’t have asked for a better caregiver!

I just have to leave another review to say how amazing Kayleigh is. She always goes so above and beyond for us and our animals, we’ve had a couple different kinds of scares at this point and she has been so helpful with those. I really can’t recommend her enough!

Jada went above and beyond to care for our cats! Not only on request, but proactively asked questions to help care for them. She gave them medication, lots of playtime, and great progress updates. She even watered our plants!! Can’t recommend highly enough.

Jessica took such great care of our two cats! She asked thoughtful questions about their care from the start, sent check-in photos of them everytime, and was overall a delight to work with. It’s clear she’s a true animal lover and takes caring for them seriously. Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend her enough! She took amazing care of my cats and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. She was reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring — it was clear she truly loves animals. She sent updates and photos, followed all instructions perfectly, and my cats were happy, relaxed, and well cared for when I returned. It’s such a relief to find someone you can fully trust with your pets, and I would absolutely book with her again. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my babies!

Carolaine did a fantastic job taking care of my cat while I was away for nearly a month. It was my first time leaving him alone for this long without his brother (who passed away a year ago) and it was clear that Carolaine took the time to give him proper attention (playing with him, giving him pets, applying his daily medication, etc.). Carolaine visited him at a pretty regular time every day and sent pictures with updates. She was also responsive with any supplemental questions I had along the way. I'm happy to have found her and would recommend her to anyone who is looking for someone who is reliable, responsive, and caring.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
