About: Hi my name is Kristi, I’m originally from Texas, and grew up with all kinds of pets throughout my life. Cats, dogs, hamsters, frogs, fish, turtles, rabbits, ducks, parrots. For the most part I love to spoil them, so please let me know if you are strict about treats or specific type of training like staying off furniture. I currently only have a dog (cavapoo), and she does well with cats and dogs and kids. I am very flexible and accommodating as long as it makes since, is safe, and appropriate for both myself, you and fur babies involved. On some occasions I can also manage last minute request, if I am in town. For the most part I am all ears at to catering to what you would like and need for your pet to have and experience while with me. We will stay in close contact and I will send pictures and keep you updated throughout the stay😊
“Samantha has been such a welcome addition to my puppies life. I work long hours and my boyfriend goes out of town frequently so find a flexible and kind dog walker was important to us. Samantha has been so great, she is very flexible and is dedicated to treating our dog well. She also gives a lot of great puppy advice and has been a huge help on getting our puppy to walk better.”

“Rena was awesome and very communicative. Because my dogs were separated, she was great about having to go to different addresses. It was great finding someone on short notice to do so. I definitely recommend her services. Thank you!”

About: Puppies need time, patience, and most of all fun! Most of the time, puppies are stripped away from their families and are just looking for their pack. It is very important to create a safe environment and show love towards dogs. They are our protectors, and we are their caregivers I am retired. Although my husband is in the military, I do have free time most of the week. I am more than willing to be flexible and to also be a routine caregiver. For both dogs and cats, I do have two cats and one dog. I understand that while my pets are family, they are all individuals. I will take the time to learn each pet as an individual and not generalize their species.

About: I've been caring for all types of animals since i was 12 years old. I've trained dogs such as German Shepherds and Pitbulls, and have experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages and sizes. I currently have the pleasure of loving 2 of my own special needs cats and a large tarantula. As well as this, my previous employment was a small pet care business in Georgia providing drop in visits for feeding, playtime and potty breaks, overnight sitting, walks, extended stays and taking care of exotic animals like birds. I'm currently a full-time pet carer, caring for my special needs cats and others' lovely pets. I have plenty of time to care for your beloved fur babies and understand the ever-changing pace of life with pets, and am happy to accommodate. Any timeframe and any day, you can count on me to be reliable! Every pet parent is different and we all like specifics when it comes to the pets we love, so I always like to discuss with you about what you'd like done regarding crating, backyard time, car rides or park visits and waste disposal. I NEVER use punishment on any pet, and instead prefer a positive reinforcement only approach. I would like to be aware of your pets' allergies, triggers, injuries and fears so I can provide the best experience for them and for you!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Fort Bragg
Dafne is amazing!! This was my first time using Rover and she made sure my pup and I were well informed of the process. She initiated a meet and greet to make sure we were a good fit for each other which helped out a lot! She was very punctual and documented everything. 10/10 communication. Will definitely re-book again.

Emily took care of my two rescue dogs over Thanksgiving, dropping in and walking them several times a day. She was extremely reliable, always communicative, and even my skittish senior girl warmed to her immediately. I highly recommend her - I didn’t worry about my dogs for a minute while she was caring for them!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
