“Erin was wonderful dropping in on our Winston. She was punctual for her visits and was very attentive to Winston while she was here. She responded very quickly to communications and was a pleasure to work with. I'd definitely reach out to her in the future and would highly recommend.”

“Great working with Stephanie! She was very responsive and kept me in the loop with what was going on at home with Marley! Would love for her to come watch Marley again!”

“Amber is amazing! She is so sweet to our pets. They are always in such a wonderful mood when we get home. She always goes above and beyond for them every time she watches them.”

“I have used Jenna before and she’s always wonderful. However, this was the first time having furbaby #2. Yuumi is usually very shy, but she warmed up to her right away, and she took great care of both girls. Highly recommend!”

“Once again Caitlyn was a fantastic sitter for our cat. Prompt communication, cute updates daily, and we could tell our cat was well taken care of while we were away. Would definitely recommend and book again.”

“She responded quickly to request on sitting. Also meet and greet. She took time to try to get my girl to interact with her. My girl is a Mommy's girl. So tends to hide and sulk with others. I was so happy when some of the pics showed she was interacting with Kaleigh. My only negative feedback is that she came quite bit earlier at times for the bedtime feeding. I feed my girl more often actually. So was concerned about only having set feedings with other's. But I know this couldn't be done when I was gone. I hate my girl going like 12 hours til next morning feeding. To she's starved acting by then. So scarfs it down. Has thrown up to this before. But I know Kaleigh had others to care for too. Was pretty busy, and tired I'm sure. I trusted she would not only be good with my girl but reliable when did meet and greet. I'm very shocked (rather upset tbh) so many other sitters aren't being cooperative with meet at greets these days. Many seem to be difficult with the schedule needed too. Meaning they say won't know if available until later. This obviously doesn't work! Kaleigh knows you gotta plan ahead.”

“Stasha took great care of my cat. Due to unforeseen circumstances I could only give very short notice, but even so, Stasha stepped right in for me and gave me peace of mind. 5/5 would recommend!”

“We are incredibly thankful for Krystal! She provided such loving care for our pup, Lulu, especially during her tough moments when she was feeling unwell. Krystal stepped in at the last minute and was more than willing to extend her time when we needed a few extra days. It was heartwarming to see how she treated Lulu like her own, making sure she was bathed, walked, fed, and showered with affection. Krystal went above and beyond, even making two store runs to ensure Lulu had everything she needed. Knowing that Lulu was in such compassionate hands while we were away gave us complete peace of mind. We feel truly fortunate to have found Krystal, who is now officially our dog sitter for our sweet girl!”

“Second booking with Alexis. Appreciate the quick response and short notice availability. Thank you for taking care of Kitty, cleaning after her, and getting our mail. Highly recommend.”

“Rena is fantastic!!! She’s patient with puppy’s and a joy to the other animals in the house!! She’s VERY accommodating to all your animals needs! Winner winner chicken dinner all around!”

“We were very impressed with the care and attention given to our boy while we were away! He seemed very happy in all the photos in the visit updates and we appreciated the work on his leash skills and the insight given about how he was doing!!”

“Haley was quick to respond and thorough in her care of our cat. We definitely felt confident with her as our sitter and would recommend her for your pet care needs.”

“Alana came for a drop-in with my two dogs and was so patient with them! Our older dog had a bad experience with a previous sitter and has a lot of fear and anxiety now. She checked in with me regularly to let me know how the visit was going. She was extremely patient and gave them all the time they needed to trust her. She definitely understands how to work with anxious and fearful dogs and we will be booking with her again in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fort Bragg
Megan is an absolute gem! She is such a sweet, kind, and caring soul who took wonderful care of our Remy. She went above and beyond in every aspect of his care, while keeping us wonderfully informed and showing great flexibility the entire time. We couldn’t have asked for a better caregiver!

I just have to leave another review to say how amazing Kayleigh is. She always goes so above and beyond for us and our animals, we’ve had a couple different kinds of scares at this point and she has been so helpful with those. I really can’t recommend her enough!

Jada went above and beyond to care for our cats! Not only on request, but proactively asked questions to help care for them. She gave them medication, lots of playtime, and great progress updates. She even watered our plants!! Can’t recommend highly enough.

Jessica took such great care of our two cats! She asked thoughtful questions about their care from the start, sent check-in photos of them everytime, and was overall a delight to work with. It’s clear she’s a true animal lover and takes caring for them seriously. Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend her enough! She took amazing care of my cats and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. She was reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring — it was clear she truly loves animals. She sent updates and photos, followed all instructions perfectly, and my cats were happy, relaxed, and well cared for when I returned. It’s such a relief to find someone you can fully trust with your pets, and I would absolutely book with her again. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my babies!

Carolaine did a fantastic job taking care of my cat while I was away for nearly a month. It was my first time leaving him alone for this long without his brother (who passed away a year ago) and it was clear that Carolaine took the time to give him proper attention (playing with him, giving him pets, applying his daily medication, etc.). Carolaine visited him at a pretty regular time every day and sent pictures with updates. She was also responsive with any supplemental questions I had along the way. I'm happy to have found her and would recommend her to anyone who is looking for someone who is reliable, responsive, and caring.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
