“Thank you, Sierra so much for taking care of our puppers!!! It makes it so much easier on us to be gone most of the day with errands or dates and know that the boys are in good hands and have a great sitter for them. We will definitely reach back out the next time we need a sitter!!!”

“Brooke was great. Very punctual and took great care of Oreo. He even came out from under the bed to see her and he doesn’t usually come out for people he hasn’t seen numerous times. Was very happy for that. Would recommend her to others and will def be using her again. Thank you Brooke”

“Fernanda was phenomenal! We’ve had plenty of dog sitters and she’s been the best by far that has taken care of our dogs while we were on vacation. She went above and beyond what she was asked! Could not thank her enough and will definitely be booking with her for future visits. Thank you Fernanda!”
“Gabriel was so helpful checking in on my cats while I was away. He checked their food and water each visit, and also gave them treats. He even brought in packages that were delivered to my door which is really appreciated. My cats are generally OK by themselves, but Gabriel gave me the peace of mind knowing he was checking on them. Highly recommended and trustworthy.”

“Alexis was great with communication and sends me pictures of both my fur babies getting love! Was conscientious in making sure they had enough water on hot days, too. On days she visits, when I get home my big boy tries to push through the door, I think to try and see if Alexis is out there again. :) Thanks for such great care!”

“Erin was wonderful dropping in on our Winston. She was punctual for her visits and was very attentive to Winston while she was here. She responded very quickly to communications and was a pleasure to work with. I'd definitely reach out to her in the future and would highly recommend.”

“Skylar was wonderful taking care of our dogs. She responded quickly to messages, sent pictures, and made sure to let us know our dogs were doing great while we were gone. We will be using her again!”

“Very very good! She's dependable, provided up updates on every visit along with pics. Words can't describe how well Alivia cared for our pets while we were out of the country. She will be our "go to" when we need a sitter in the future!”

“Samantha did a great job visiting my Moxie. She visited her and walked her. She did more than requested and Moxie was tired out from all the attention. Samantha sent a lot of pictures of the visit, which aloud me to see how much fun Moxie was having. I will be using her again!”
“Breanna was great with our dog while we were out of town! She was communicative, caring, and made us feel at ease while we were away. We really appreciated the updates and knowing our pup was in good hands. It was such a relief to be able to enjoy our trip without worrying. We’d definitely book with Breanna again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful dog sitter!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
