Samantha has been such a welcome addition to my puppies life. I work long hours and my boyfriend goes out of town frequently so find a flexible and kind dog walker was important to us. Samantha has been so great, she is very flexible and is dedicated to treating our dog well. She also gives a lot of great puppy advice and has been a huge help on getting our puppy to walk better.

Rena was awesome and very communicative. Because my dogs were separated, she was great about having to go to different addresses. It was great finding someone on short notice to do so. I definitely recommend her services. Thank you!

About: Hey I’m Dayana! I’ve always loved animals, and I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. My goal is to make sure they’re safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I have a 6-year-old Pit Bull of my own, so I’m very comfortable handling larger breeds. I’ve also done basic training with my own dog, so I’m familiar with reading body language, recognizing stress signals, and adjusting my approach based on each dog’s needs. I do work full-time, but I have a flexible schedule and can often adjust my availability to fit your needs. I also have access to Fort Bragg, so I’m available to care for pets both on and off post. I’ll always keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind knowing your baby is in good hands. I can’t wait to meet you and your pup! 🐾 I do work full-time, but I have a flexible schedule and can often adjust my availability to fit your needs. I also have access to Fort Bragg, so I’m available to care for pets both on and off post. I’ll always keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind knowing your baby is in good hands. I can’t wait to meet you and your pup! 🐾

About: Puppies need time, patience, and most of all fun! Most of the time, puppies are stripped away from their families and are just looking for their pack. It is very important to create a safe environment and show love towards dogs. They are our protectors, and we are their caregivers I am retired. Although my husband is in the military, I do have free time most of the week. I am more than willing to be flexible and to also be a routine caregiver. For both dogs and cats, I do have two cats and one dog. I understand that while my pets are family, they are all individuals. I will take the time to learn each pet as an individual and not generalize their species.

About: I've been caring for all types of animals since i was 12 years old. I've trained dogs such as German Shepherds and Pitbulls, and have experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages and sizes. I currently have the pleasure of loving 2 of my own special needs cats and a large tarantula. As well as this, my previous employment was a small pet care business in Georgia providing drop in visits for feeding, playtime and potty breaks, overnight sitting, walks, extended stays and taking care of exotic animals like birds. Throughout my life I've personally owned a snake, rabbit, hamsters, cats, dogs, spiders, moths and a bird! I'm looking forward to be an extra loving hand for your pets! I'm currently a full-time pet carer, caring for my special needs cats and others' lovely pets. I have plenty of time to care for your beloved fur babies and understand the ever-changing pace of life with pets, and am happy to accommodate. Any timeframe and any day, you can count on me to be reliable! Every pet parent is different and we all like specifics when it comes to the pets we love, so I always like to discuss with you about what you'd like done regarding crating, backyard time, car rides or park visits and waste disposal. I NEVER use punishment on any pet, and instead prefer a positive reinforcement only approach. I would like to be aware of your pets' allergies, triggers, injuries and fears so I can provide the best experience for them and for you!

About: I've been pet sitting for the past 4 years, caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. In addition to my professional experience, I've grown up with both dogs and cats my entire life, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I understand that every pet has their own routine and unique needs, and I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Whether that's walks, playtime, feeding, administering simple medications, or just providing companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I've built a strong reputation through word of mouth for being dependable, trustworthy, and compassionate. I'm excited to use this platform to connect with more pet owners and continue providing reliable, attentive care that gives both pets and their families peace of mind. Pet care is a big part of my daily life! After completing four years in the Marine Corps, I now have a flexible schedule that allows me to focus on caring for pets. I regularly babysit, dog sit, walk dogs, and care for cats whenever opportunities arise, so my days are centered around providing dependable care for families in my community. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, and I love being able to give pet owners peace of mind while they're away. Whether it's sticking to a pet's routine, going on walks, or simply providing companionship, I make sure every pet receives the attention and care they deserve. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. As a former Marine, I'm dependable, detail-oriented, and take responsibility seriously. I'll carefully follow your pet's routine, respect your home, and keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how they're doing. My goal is to create a calm, loving environment where your pet feels safe and cared for while you're away. Whether they need lots of playtime and exercise or prefer quiet companionship and cuddles, I'll tailor my care to their individual personality and needs. I treat every pet—and every home—with the same level of respect and care that I would expect for my own.

About: Hi my name is Kristi, I’m originally from Texas, and grew up with all kinds of pets throughout my life. Cats, dogs, hamsters, frogs, fish, turtles, rabbits, ducks, parrots. For the most part I love to spoil them, so please let me know if you are strict about treats or specific type of training like staying off furniture. I currently only have a dog (cavapoo), and she does well with cats and dogs and kids. I am very flexible and accommodating as long as it makes since, is safe, and appropriate for both myself, you and fur babies involved. On some occasions I can also manage last minute request, if I am in town. For the most part I am all ears at to catering to what you would like and need for your pet to have and experience while with me. We will stay in close contact and I will send pictures and keep you updated throughout the stay😊

About: Other than being able to have base access availability. I’ve cared for many pets over the years and have had my own since I was 11. I grew up with cats and guinea pigs, and I’ve also pet-sat for dogs, bunnies, and more. I love all animals and am happy to help with bathing and light grooming too. I'm currently a student so I'll have plenty of time to take care of your pets as needed! I'm flexible on all times of the day. I always prioritize safety by following your pet’s routine and any special instructions closely. I make sure doors and windows are secure, keep hazardous items out of reach, and monitor your pet’s behavior for signs of stress or illness. I’m also comfortable giving baths or medication if needed. I will always recommend and require, a meet and greet to ensure that all safety measures are in place.

About: As long as I can remember I have been surronded by animals. From childhood to now I have worked in many animal environments including pet grooming facilities and even dog walking and boarding on my own. My experience doesn’t just stop there though. I have experience with dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles, and amphibians! My husband is active duty and I am here to hold down the fort. With that being said, I have plenty of free time. My days are usually spent at home and the company of furry friends makes home much more lively. I believe that owning a pet is like having a child and we all have different wants and needs for our pets. I plan to follow guidelines that are set up for me to have the most success with your pets. This includes: feeding and feeding times, crating or free roaming, lots of activities or just lazy day. I want the best for both the pet and the pet parent.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life! I grew up caring for dogs of all different breeds and sizes, and I now have two babies of my own—Tucker, my English Golden Retriever, and Simba, my cat. They mean the absolute world to me, and whether we’re relaxing at home or heading out on an adventure, they’re always part of my life. I have over 9 years of experience caring for my own pets, along with 2 years of fostering experience. Through fostering, I’ve cared for animals with different personalities, ages, backgrounds, and needs including both dogs and cats. It has taught me patience, adaptability, and how important it is to make every animal feel safe and comfortable. I bring that same love and compassion to other people’s pets that I give my own. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care, whether it’s for boarding, daycare, a walk, or just a quick drop in visit. I’m dependable, attentive, and will always treat your pets like they’re part of my own family. I’m excited to begin offering pet care services here in Fayetteville as I finish out my military contract. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pets and give them plenty of love, attention, and care while you’re away! 🐾 I work Monday through Friday, but my schedule still gives me plenty of flexibility for pet care! I typically start work around 9:30 AM, have an hour-and-a-half lunch break during the day, and am finished by 4:00 PM. On Fridays, I’m usually done by 2:00 PM. I also have weekends completely off, giving me plenty of availability for boarding, daycare, walks, drop-in visits, and lots of quality time with your pets. I’m happy to work with you to find a schedule that fits your pet’s normal routine! I live in a pet friendly town home with my own dog and cat, who are both very important parts of my life. I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and comfort level, so I always take the time to learn what makes each pet feel safe and comfortable. I follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, walking routines, and any other directions you provide. Whether your pet is staying with me or I’m caring for them in your home, I’ll treat them and your space with the same care and respect I would want someone to give my own.

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover and have been caring for dogs since I was 13! I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities, from Saint Bernards to teacup Chihuahuas, and I always make sure they receive plenty of love, attention, exercise, and, of course, belly scratches. 🐶💕 I’ve also volunteered at dog shelters, where I gained valuable experience working with a variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. These experiences have taught me how to understand different dog behaviors, be patient with nervous or shy dogs, and adjust my approach to each dog’s individual personality and needs. Since graduating college and moving to North Carolina with my husband, I’m home most of the day and have a very flexible schedule. This allows me to give your pet plenty of one-on-one attention and companionship rather than leaving them alone for long periods of time. Most importantly, I genuinely love spending time with dogs and will treat your furry friend like they’re my own. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, happy, and loved while you’re away! My rates are also negotiable depending on the needs of your pet and the services you’re looking for, so feel free to reach out and discuss what works best! I recently graduated from college and moved to North Carolina with my husband! Since I’m currently home most of the day, I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pets the attention, care, and love they deserve. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and house sitting, and I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine and needs. I truly love spending time with dogs and would love the opportunity to care for your pets while you’re away! I’m reliable, attentive, and will treat your pets like they’re my own. Our apartment is located in a quiet, gated community with fenced-in areas where dogs can safely get some fresh air and exercise. We don’t currently have any pets of our own, so your dog will have our full attention and won’t have to worry about sharing the space with other animals. I’ll always prioritize your pet’s safety and comfort and make sure they feel right at home while they’re with us!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Spring Lake

Meghan was an outstanding dog walker. She played with Steven my German shepherd and sometimes hung out even longer than she was required to. She even cleaned his ears and put medication in them for me because poor Steven suffers from frequent ear infections. Which I am certain wasn’t easy to do , Steven hates it when you touch his ears. She left detailed notes and you could tell genuinely cared for Steven. Highly recommend

Emily took care of my two rescue dogs over Thanksgiving, dropping in and walking them several times a day. She was extremely reliable, always communicative, and even my skittish senior girl warmed to her immediately. I highly recommend her - I didn’t worry about my dogs for a minute while she was caring for them!

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Spring Lake. On Rover:

  • 88% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
