“Kailey is great! She has been super helpful checking in on my pup while I work long days. She’s communicative, punctual, and it’s obvious that she loves animals. I will definitely rebook!”

“Samantha did a great job visiting my Moxie. She visited her and walked her. She did more than requested and Moxie was tired out from all the attention. Samantha sent a lot of pictures of the visit, which aloud me to see how much fun Moxie was having. I will be using her again!”
“Bria was AMAZING!! We needed a super last minute sitter for our cat and tortoise & she did not hesitate to help. She updated me throughout her time watching them and sent the cutest pictures. I’m a ball of anxiety when it comes to my pets and she was so understanding & reassuring. She took great care of our pets while we were away and we look forward to using her again in the near future. Thank you, Bria!! You are the best!! 💗💗💗💗”

“Caitlyn did an awesome job watching our cats for the week. We received great updates and we could tell upon our return that our cats were happy and well cared for. We would definitely book with Caitlyn if we need a cat sitter in the future!”

“Alexis did great with my pups, especially one that requires meds and special food. The boys enjoy being able to stay home versus a kennel and I will def use Alexis again in the future.”
“Alexandra was a great sitter for our two dogs. She did drop in visits for us and was very attentive. She stayed for quite a while, hanging out and playing with dogs. They were well taken care of with Alexandra.”

“Julia is fantastic. She’s been a godsend to me and my pups. The pictures she sends just brighten my day. Two of my pups are elderly. She takes very good care of them. I would recommend her to everyone!”

“I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Jordan. She means it when she says she will care for your pets like they are her own, and she proved that to us in a way I won't forget. Jordan had checked in on our dog a couple of times the first day and again the following morning. On her last scheduled visit, she walked into the house to find that he had destroyed the kennel we were keeping him in and completely shredded a tarp. Instead of simply completing her check-in and leaving, Jordan immediately became concerned that he may have swallowed some of the tarp and could potentially have a blockage. I was still hours away from home, and Jordan insisted on staying with him until I could get back because she didn't feel comfortable leaving him alone. After talking it through, we decided the safest thing was to have her take him to a pet urgent care rather than wait for me to get home. Jordan did not hesitate for even a second. She took him to the vet, stayed with him, kept me updated, and made sure he was safe until I could get there. What was supposed to be a simple check-in turned into an incredibly stressful situation, and Jordan went so far above and beyond anything I could have expected from her. When someone is caring for your pet, you're trusting them with a member of your family, and Jordan treated our dog exactly that way. I will forever be grateful that she was the person looking after him that day. She truly means it when she says she cares for your pets like she does her own. I could not recommend Jordan more. ❤️🐾”

“Margaret did a wonderful job dropping in on our cat while we were out of town. She was awesome at communicating and keeping us informed of what was going on and sent very cute pictures of him while we were away.”

“Celina is wonderful! She is communicative and reliable, and she sends the best updates every time she checks on my pet! She’s added so much peace of mind for when I have to go out of town. I never have to worry about my cat being taken care of.”

About: I've cared for dogs since I was 10, from puppies to seniors. I'm accepted into a Vet Tech program, and I care for a puppy, senior dog, and leopard gecko. Pet care is part of my daily routine. “Hannah was a wonderful drop-in pet sitter for my three fur babies. She won over Memphis's trust very quickly. Jesse always hides and Molly is first to greet everyone. Molly did enjoy playing with Hannah and Memphis snuggled with Hannah for scratches and kisses. Pictures were provided daily and more. I will definitely use Hannah again....perhaps even next month ☺️”

“She went above and beyond, taking care of the pups; stayed longer than required to take care of our animals and even took our bird out for some affection. Highly recommend her”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
