About: Hi there! My name is Lex, and I recently relocated from Washington State to Cameron, NC! I’m currently between jobs after working as a career barista for over a decade, which gives me plenty of flexibility to take care of your pets. I have experience caring for dogs of all personalities, from senior pups to energetic dogs who love getting outside and exploring. I’ve also cared for a variety of other animals, including cats, fish, frogs, hamsters, and guinea pigs. Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pets as if they were their own. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, or overnight house sitting, I’m happy to help make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. When I’m not spending time with my animals, you can usually find me at a concert, a comedy show, or finding something new to read. I’m excited to meet you and your furry family members! I recently moved to the area and my schedule is completely open! I’m flexible and happy to work around you and your pets’ needs. I live in a spacious, open home with a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely enjoy some outdoor time. I have one friendly cat, Po, who is used to being around dogs, and I can keep her separated if needed to make sure everyone is comfortable. I’m currently fully available to stay home and supervise, so your pets will have plenty of attention and company throughout the day. I’m happy to follow their usual routines and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and right at home!

“Sam took very excellent care of my 5 cats and dog while I had an emergency and needed her last minute. She was very flexible and accommodating. I got tons of updates which made me feel very assured my fur babies were in excellent care while I was at the hospital with my baby. It was also a holiday and she was available. She was upfront about her kiddos coming, which was no problem. I was amazed there was no mess or anything. She cleaned up all dishes, took trash out and watered my plants. I had a week long stay at the hospital, I even asked if she would change my sheets and she did this for me. I was so blessed to find her and will always use her if she is available if I need a pet sitter. She even left a little goodie bag with a neat ink pen and some bracelets my daughter will not take off and loves! I’ve had pet sitters before that would just lock the dog out of my room and not interact with Sadie but Sam sent lots of videos/pictures of all my animals. We are home now and Sadie is so happy, it great condition and sleeping so soundly cause they gave her lots of exercise. 10/10 will book Sam again.”

About: My parents realized I needed a dog in my life when I was child because I would try to pet my fish... ;) As a family we've had dogs since I was around 6 years old. I began dog-sitting for a neighbor when I was in middle school and that included helping care for two puppies when I was a bit older. Over the last few years my petsitting/housesitting relationships have steadily increased. I've helped friends by caring for their puppies, dogs, senior dogs, kittens, cats, and even a bird! I've trained both of my dogs myself, and I've also helped train other dogs of all sizes, from small breeds to big ones. While I'm caring for your fur babies, I'm happy to keep up with their usual routine, whether that's daily walks, trips to the dog park, or anything else that helps them feel comfortable and at home. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space and your pets with the same respect I'd give my own. I follow your pet's routine for feeding, walks, playtime, and medication, and I always double-check that doors, gates, and windows are secure so no one slips out. I keep dogs leashed on walks, supervise any time outside, and make sure fresh water is always available. If your pet stays with me, I start with a meet and greet so everyone can get comfortable before the stay. My German Shepherd and Siberian Husky are very friendly with other dogs, and I introduce new pups slowly and supervise all playtime to keep things safe and relaxed. I also have a fully fenced yard where pets can run and play safely. Your pet will get the same attention, structure, and love that my own dogs do. Either way, I'll send regular updates with photos so you can see how your fur babies are doing while you're away. If anything unexpected comes up, I'll contact you right away and follow your emergency and vet instructions.

Puppies: I'm patient with young pups and keep up with potty training, crate routines, and basic commands like sit and stay. Senior dogs: I'm comfortable with slower walks, giving medications, and extra attention. Extras: Fenced yard / I work from home so your dog is rarely alone / experience with large breeds / comfortable with anxious or shy dogs. Your dog won't just be watched. They'll be loved! I’m pretty flexible with my schedule at the moment. I have a small dog that is in his older years and home majority of the day. In my home (boarding/daycare): Your dog gets a calm, safe space with [a fenced yard / a cozy spot to rest]. I keep them on their normal feeding, walk, and bedtime schedule, and they're never left alone for long. [I only take one family's dogs at a time so every pup gets my full attention.

About: I love caring for all dogs. Ive been taking care of dogs for the past 10 years. I love taking my dog for runs and walks at Cape Fear Valley River Trail and around my neighborhood. My dog also loves going to Riverside dog park to play with other dogs. Our house has 3 open rooms and a HUGE fenced in backyard with lots of room to run, so we love to play fetch as well! My current dog, Ellie, LOVES to play with other dogs and would be a great buddy. I am a very active person and would love to get your dog out for walks in our peaceful neighborhood. Our home is very pet friendly and I really enjoy caring for and spending time with dogs :) Available full time! I am currently taking classes, so I am home mostly full time.
