“Elise did a great job. One of my dogs is very anxious around new people, she took time to pair with her and the pictures she sent showed happy smiles from my baby. I felt very comfortable with Elise and I think my dogs had a great time during her visit. Thank you Elise.”

“Bria was AMAZING!! We needed a super last minute sitter for our cat and tortoise & she did not hesitate to help. She updated me throughout her time watching them and sent the cutest pictures. I’m a ball of anxiety when it comes to my pets and she was so understanding & reassuring. She took great care of our pets while we were away and we look forward to using her again in the near future. Thank you, Bria!! You are the best!! 💗💗💗💗”

“Megan was AMAZING with our puppy Beau. She was on time and did everything we asked of her. Beau seemed to have a blast with her by the looks of the check-in pictures!! It is so hard to find trustworthy people and Megan gave us peace of mind while we were away, we will definitely be recommending and rebooking her!!!”

“Meagan is the absolute greatest. She was so kind and communicated wonderfully! Booked her back to back trips i had because of how wonderful she was with my two cats. Highly recommend her!”

“Makya did an incredible job caring for my pups. She took care of them and helped get their energy out while I was gone for long work days. I strongly recommend Makya as a Rover.”

“Second booking with Alexis. Appreciate the quick response and short notice availability. Thank you for taking care of Kitty, cleaning after her, and getting our mail. Highly recommend.”

“Taylor did such a great job. It was our first time using Rover and first time having someone do a drop in for our sweet little Murphy. Taylor had great reviews so we booked her, then did a video chat to show her around. She gave us updates and photos and we came home to a very happy puppy. It was so nice to know Murphy didn’t have to go all evening without a walk and potty break. ❤️ I would 100% hire Taylor again!”

“Infinity is always extremely reliable in terms of timeline and professionalism. She always sends an extremely in-depth report afterwards that is very much appreciated. Couldn't recommend her enough for walks or drop-in visits.”

About: Trusted Pet Care with 20+ Years of Experience. I’ve had dogs my whole life. I currently have 105 pound Rhodesian Ridgeback and a chocolate lab. I grew up with Shih Tzu’s and Labs able to take care of all. Right now I’m currently off of work looking to mainly walk dogs maybe in the evening or in the morning, especially on the weekends, weekdays are OK too Right now I do all the maintenance for my dogs feeding walking letting them out. I also care for my sister’s two dogs. She lives down the road. I feed them and walk them as well.
About: I've been pet sitting for some family friends for the last 4 years and have watched dogs of various breeds for 4 different families. Watching both dogs and just recently in the last year cats. So far I've watched up to 3 dogs at a time. I'm happy to take them out for walks, make sure that they go to the bathroom, that they've eaten, medicine taken, and their water bowls are always filled. I've watched both senior dogs and young dogs. If your sweet fur child has any need any specific needs that need to be followed just let me know and I'll make sure it's done! I'll also make sure to give you updates on anything that happens! Like when I get to your place, when I'm about to leave, if your furry friend gets sick, has an accident, or just general update how well they're doing. I'm also working to get a pet cpr certification. I do ask that before I watch your furry buddy that I come over for a short visit before the scheduled date to meet your furry friend, so you and your furry friend can both trust me, and we can discuss any specific details and get a key to your house if needed. I'm a single game developer and artist who works from home. So I've got a good amount of free time throughout the day, where I can stop working and drive over to help out if your in need of any. If your someone that works an early morning shift and you need someone at your house by 6 to 7 AM at the latest to let your dogs go to the bathroom, make sure they're fed, medicine taken, or take them out for a short walk. I can be there. I can promise you that I'm a rule follower. If you tell me not to do something I won't do it. If I am unsure of something I can promise you that I'll send you a text or give you a call to get your input on whatever it is that I'm unsure of. I'll also make sure to give updates, and let you know when I've arrived and when I'm leaving. I'll also make sure to let you know if any accidents happen, and clean up any mess that may happen!
“Chante is awesome! She’s friendly, easy to work, and super responsive. She is always punctual and communicates if she needs to adjust. She is great with the dogs and very attentive to their needs. She also takes the time to write detailed reports and take a bunch of pictures, which is appreciated. I highly recommend using Chante for your drop-ins or any dog needs :)”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
