With nearly 20 years as a veterinary assistant and a vet tech degree from the Vet Tech Institute of Pittsburgh in 2009, I’ve dedicated my career to animal care. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, reptiles, small animals, exotics, and farm animals like chickens, goats, sheep, and a few horses. I’ve also been a professional detection K9 handler for over nine years, mainly working with Labradors, but I have also worked with other breeds such as Coonhounds and German Shepherds. I do have experience with other types of breeds when it comes to detection work, in the fields of search and rescue or even in a hospital or clinic setting while working in veterinary medicine. Whether they need checked in on after a surgery or procedure while you are gone, a quick bathroom break, exercise, medication or extra love, I’m here to help. I’m experienced with administering medications—including oral medications, injections, and subcutaneous fluids—and caring for pets with health issues or disabilities, including several of my own. Whether post-surgery care or medication management while you're away, you can rely on. I bring experience from both shelter/animal control environments and veterinary care, working with cats of all ages—from kittens to seniors with medical needs. I’ve cared for cats in both clinical and in-home settings, including those requiring treatment for a variety of conditions, many of which were my own personal pets. I am comfortable administering oral medications and injections, and I focus on keeping each cat as calm and stress-free as possible during care. I will do everything I can to make your cat or multiple cats/kittens feel safe and loved while you are away, just like I would for my own cats at home. I take pride in building trust and forming relationships, especially with more reserved or sensitive cats, so they feel safe and comfortable during each visit. At home, I have 8 dogs, 3 cats, a dwarf hamster, and 6 hermit crabs. Some are working dogs, others retired or couch potatoes. About: Our family has owned horses, dogs, cats and more. We currently have yellow lab, whom I have trained to canine good citizen. Great lover of the outdoors, and everything it has to offer. Day care is in the back fully fenced yard. A screened in porch for shelter and shade. LOTS of trees ! Doggie pool !! Toys !! A dogs dream day ! If this is your first time booking daycare, we need to schedule a temperament test if this is the first time attending day care. Daycare here ! Always have my attendance with everyone outside. Fresh water and a doggie pool ! Your dog will have fun outside all day long I have a well trained yellow lab who is a pro at daycare. He loves everyone. Outside all day and wear them out ! I provide daycare outside with a screened in porch available for shelter and additional rest.
