“Michelle did a great job taking care of our senior dog Frodo and his complicated feeding/meds schedule. She was very thorough asking for clarifications when needed, followed the detailed schedule, kept us updated frequently and took extra care with Frodo’s needs. The house was exactly as we left it and Frodo was calm and happy when we returned. We were really happy with Michelle and look forward to her hopefully being able to care for Frodo again!”
“Laney was awesome! I would definitely hire her again. My 12 year old dog is quite shy with new people. Laney was patient, communicated great, and sent me daily updates on how Stella was doing. She also kept my house clean and tidy while staying at my house.”

“I appreciated Chasydi taking the time to visit my dog several times while we were away. We have an anxious puppy, and Chasydi was careful not to push her too much, but to let her get familiar with her. We also appreciated Chasydi keeping the house neat during her stay and during her in-and-out visits. She shared photos and reassured us that Ember was okay.”

“Penelope is awesome! She took great care of my fur babies while I was on vacation. She followed my notes and ensured medication was given on time. I was able to truly relax knowing they were in her care.”

“Alexandra was awesome. She was able to take care of both our large 90lb lab mix and our Miniature rat terrier. She has great communication and sent pictures throughout the entire time. She was very knowledgeable and I would definitely use her again in the future.”

“Marisa is an excellent sitter and house guest too! Sadie Mae seemed to be having more separation anxiety than normal but Marisa took it in stride and took great care of her. She sent lots of updates and was very flexible in her communication and booking as we were away for the first time on a cruise. When I came home, the house was clean and Sadie Mae was happy. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.”

“We had an unexpected need for a pet sitter for house sitting at the last minute over the holidays. Mae made an effort to be flexible to accommodate our travel schedule and she put us at ease right away with her attention to the details and her comfort with our 2 dogs and our cat. Mae's communication was excellent throughout the visit (she also took some great pictures). She left our house clean and all the pets were relaxed and peaceful when we arrived home. With senior pets and a recent rescue, we had some special needs and Mae handled it all well. We hope to have Mae pet sit with us again!”

“Zoey was amazing. She was super easygoing, and great with all my dogs. She provided detailed check-in’s and made sure my pups were well taken care of. I would recommend her and rebook :)”

“Joshua did amazing watching our two dogs. They are super energetic and playful and he was able to keep them worn out by the end of each day. He took very good care with their regimented feeding and sleeping schedule. Would definitely recommend.”

“Miriam was an attentive overnight sitter for my two senior pups. Provided lots of pictures and videos and kept me up to date on their meals! Will book her again next out of town trip!”

About: I have had dogs since I was eight years old! When it comes to family and friends, I have had the opportunity to dog sit and care for their pets whenever they need! I have owned small dogs and big dogs and love to connect with all kinds of animals! I’m currently working a part-time job! I am available after 2:30pm everyday or earlier! I am also available on the weekends for the majority of the day! I have a fenced in backyard along with 2 large breed dogs who live with me! I live less than 10 minutes from a park that allows all breeds of dogs where I love to walk my own large breed dogs!
“Lauren did a great job taking care of my 2 older dogs. She gave them meds, made sure my oldest one ate, and kept the diaper on him. She was reliable about coming to my house and staying overnight, and sent pics each day. I would definitely trust her to watch my dogs again!”
About: I helped my cousin care for her senior dog and she relied on me to walk and brush him, and clean him up when he had an incident with seizures I am mostly flexible aside from working 5pm - 9pm during the week and 12pm - 7pm during the weekends. I am a part time employee at Hardee’s and looking for part time (or even full time) work caring for your pets! If I see a cat eaging something considered dangerous I will try to distract and/or remove the item. I try to keep all choking hazards off the floor and keep strings and other foreign bodies off the floor so that the animal couldn't form an impaction
“Michael is fantastic with our boys. Michael came to sit with our boys in our home, we found him to be VERY reliable and trustworthy. Michael sent us video and photos of our boys each day and that help to comfort our concerns about leaving them at home while we were away Our boys always had food, water, cuddles and playtime. Michael even went as far as to mop our floor because there were muddy puppy prints all over. We will use Michael again to sit with our boys. We highly recommend him to anyone who wants to know their fur babies are safe and taken care of while your away. Michael is the best”

“One of the truly great dog care takers out there. She was so attentive and made our dogs feel so loved! We have one dog who has severe allergies and needs daily medications, and another who is VERY shy. Not only did Elise care for them as if they were her own, she got our shy girl out of her shell. This is truly a feat that not very many people have been able to do. We were blown away with her daily updates and the amount of detail they included. If you are looking for someone to treat your dogs like family, and take all the stress off leaving your pets at home- look no further than Elise. We cannot recommend her enough.”

About: My name is Ashley. I currently work in healthcare and looking to make some extra money. I always had dogs growing up from extra small to extra large dog. I am a cat mom of 2! I also have experience with farm animals! I currently work full time in healthcare in Pittsboro NC. During the week I am unavailable unless it’s walking your pet after work. I get off around 5pm! I am free Friday afternoons and most weekends. I will treat your baby just like it’s my own pet. I love to get to know each pet and their personalities! I do not offer visits at my home due to restrictions.

“Zoey was great. She made my fur baby Patches feel safe and secure. Zoey responded with texts and reassurance my dog was eating and running outside. I would highly recommend zoey. Everyone should have a sitter like her.”

About: Available all holidays. I work with people and their pets consistently. I have a background in the medical and paralegal field . We can accommodate any pup , any situation! I have had my own dog kennel for years . I’m very energetic & love animals & so does my son & family members who do this with me . I take them on walks and keep them entertained . Since i have experience whelping and with mommy dogs , i can take on any challenge . I can administer medication responsibly. Not all dogs get along with other dogs , i understand that . I have a nice insulated building with heat and ac for the dogs who really prefer their own space . It’s very nice & comfortable in there. But i do offer space in my home as well for free roam or the very nice puppy cave - lots of land !&& a great areas to play in - no roads near by . Plus a 6 ft tall fence. They gets lots of play time since I’m generally home. I Keep toys and supplies & cute fenced in areas for smaller pups as well to separate from big pups . Doggies are spoiled here, every pup gets one on one time . Plenty of space to run && play outside & in the very spacious open floor home . From big to little , they are welcome here . Experience with high anxiety pets and older dogs. Conditioned “puppy cave” in home as well for pups who like their own space but don’t want to be in the building . Prices can be discussed for multiples & long stays or in general if it is an emergency & unexpected , I’ll work with you . We put our time & care & money into what we do . This is not the only place that i promote my pet sitting business, but Rover is awesome ! Lots of experience & many references for months/weeks long stays . Can also offer grooming (special comfortable tub ) & training when needed . Our days are literally centered around the puppies we keep . They are our top priority- you will love the updates . I have my own animals that i have to take out and keep entertained myself . So taking care of dogs is part of my daily routine. Plus I’m home most the time so the dogs are a main focus. Gives me a lot of bonding time with my son as well . We really enjoy playing and spending time with them. Acres of land - not close to any roads what so ever . Perfect yard . Can free roam with supervision on the acres or play in the 6ft tall fence. Nice dog building with great heating And air . But can also have them In the house . Welcome to check both spaces out . Same exact set up. They will be let out often. And can keep dogs separated when they do not get along with other animals- i do not believe in putting multiple dogs in a playroom loose not knowing their personalities well yet - very small groups with regulars is completely ok but most pups need proper introductions before throwing them in a space with other unknown pets & an unknown new human watching- it can be very unpredictable even if your pup is super social . I keep supplies such as dog shampoo , dog treats, toys and other things that may be needed. They get lots of love and cuddles here. 6ft tall fence for the big babies . Space to run inside the home if weather is ugly.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lemon Springs walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lemon Springs maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lemon Springs choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
