“Taylor did drop-in visits for my puppy Thor twice a day over 3 days, and she was phenomenal! Thor was well fed, well taken care of and well toileted. After we came home from our vacation, Thor’s been going downstairs frequently (which he never does) which I think is because he misses her🥺 I would trust Taylor with any Rover services, she is trustworthy, VERY timely and truly cares for animals! Thank you Taylor🥰”

“Allison was absolutely awesome! She went the extra mile and then some! There are allot of cat sitters out there that will feed and scoop your cats litter, but there are those rare gems like Allison that actually take the time to care for your cat and make friends with a 1/2wild crazy Orange Boy. Thats what you will get with Allison!”

“Michelle did an amazing job keeping me updated throughout the week that I was out of town. I had plenty of pictures and was at ease knowing our kitty was in good hands and didn’t miss a meal!”
“Evelin came over twice prior to our drop-in visit to meet our two very apprehensive Mini Aussies and I think that went a long way in them being comfortable with her when she came in alone. We are very grateful for such wonderful care!”

“Jesse was great and took the best care of our cats. She of course fed them and cleaned the litter boxes but she also made sure to sit, play, and chat to the kitties as well. They barely missed me when I got home so I know they had great company. Thank you Jesse!”

“Whitney is wonderful with our pets! She was extra patient with our senior boy and made sure he was cared for and loved on while we were gone. Highly recommend her for your pet needs! ♥️”

“Jennifer was amazing while doing drop ins for my two cats for two weeks! She went above and beyond for my girls and was very consistent with the updates and photos which I so appreciated. By the end of the second week she even fully earned the trust of my super shy girl who asked for belly pets from her! I’ll definitely be having Jennifer back for my next trip out of town.”

“Makya was fantastic. She was a great communicator through the entire process, showed up on time, and let us know how our cats were doing with pictures and texts. I recommend working with her and we will be back!”

About: I have cared for dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. I have recently had the chance to take care of a dog with heart failure, medication administration and diet monitoring. I am currently a student, all of my classes are online which allows me the opportunity to sit, and walk pets all throughout the day. My goal would be to care for your pet as you do to minimize your baby being effected by your absence. I will take care of them as if they are my own.
“William was great. He dropped in on my 3 dogs, sent pics, and updates during the weekend. I felt very comfortable that my dogs were being looked after by him. I would definitely recommend William and will be contacting him for future drop ins.”

“Ernesto did an amazing job while taking care of our dog. He put our minds at ease by giving us updates during every visit. We had a great experience with him and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring person to watch their pets. We will be using him again.”

About: My name is Ashley. I currently work in healthcare and looking to make some extra money. I always had dogs growing up from extra small to extra large dog. I am a cat mom of 2! I also have experience with farm animals! I currently work full time in healthcare in Pittsboro NC. During the week I am unavailable unless it’s walking your pet after work. I get off around 5pm! I am free Friday afternoons and most weekends. I will treat your baby just like it’s my own pet. I love to get to know each pet and their personalities! I do not offer visits at my home due to restrictions.
About: I have experience in the boarding kennel field for almost 10 years now and grooming for about 4 years. I can administer medicines and I’m not afraid to clean up messes after your fur babies. I have worked with big breed and small breeds and everything in between! No pup has ever scared me away from this field of work! I have 4 dogs of my own, from a Cane Corso to a small Lab mix with two Pitbulls in between. I love going on walks probably just as much as your fur baby. I can spend time with your pups Thursday - Friday 8:30 am to 2 pm and Friday to Sunday 8:30 to whenever you need. Every other day during the week I am spending time with my daughter while she’s out of school and my husband when he is home from work! If my schedule is conflicting with the times you pick, we can try and work around it. So hopefully we can work something out. I am flexible with whatever you or your fur baby will need. Even if its a belly rub... (For the pup haha) I cant wait to meet you and your pups! I sadly do not have the space for boarding your fur babies at my own home as I already have 4 fur babies myself and a toddler. But in your own home, I will follow every rule or instruction you provide and give them my full attention!
“My communication with Britta went well. She was flexible in setting up a meet and greet and answering all of my questions. Britta was very kind and patient with Foxxy and I knew she would be in good hands. This was my first Rover experience and I now feel like I could do it again and not worry about her.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in White Hill. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
