“Alexandra was amazing with my dog! I got pictures every day and I could tell he was having a blast every day. He got lots of love and exercise. I’ll definitely be boarding my dog with Alexandra again.”

“My dog is a little shy/nervous so I was hesitant to leave her with a sitter she didn’t know. But Victor put me at ease, and seeing all the photos he sent of Juni having fun confirmed he was taking good care of her. I’ll be using Victor again the next time I travel.”

“Jennifer is kind and friendly to both people and dogs. She even sent photos of Daisy while we were away so we could see that all was well. We will ask Jennifer to keep our pup again I'm sure.”

“Our pup was very well cared for while we were gone. I would 100% recommend them to any friends with animals and we will be coming back! They have a beautiful house and yard. Our dog was beyond happy at their house! Thank you!”

“My dog has high anxiety with people he doesn’t know. I’ve tried a lot of options for his care without much peace of mind. I decided to try in-home care with Heather. She sent photos and videos everyday my boy looked so happy! She was organized and a great communicator. I trust her. Finally, peace of mind!”

“Thank you for taking such great care of Wilmer! I really appreciated all the photo updates and seeing the fun walks he was going on. It made me feel happy to see updates and reassured while I was away knowing he was in good hands. Would definitely book again.”

“Mary did a wonderful job with our dogs! She has a nice big fenced in yard which was perfect for them! Our dogs arrived happy and left happy! Mary was accommodating to all of our pets needs. She sent us a few pics of them while we were away as well. I was not worried about our pet our all while in her care. Communication and response time with her was excellent!”

“My dog Star was well taken care of. He was provided with lots of cuddles and hugs while I was away. I think he even got a bath of some sorts. I will use Brooke again to watch Star if I go out of town. Thanks!”

About: I became a dog mom at 19, and have been dog-sitting off and on ever since! While the extra income is always nice, I mainly do it to prevent coming home with a new puppy every week. I treat all the dogs I meet like they're my own and give them as much love as I do to my own babies - an 11 year old Lab mix and 6 year old German Shepherd! They both have loved every dog I've ever had staying at my house. I'm comfortable with all breeds and all ages, and have no problem giving medications if needed. I am available during the daytime for long walks and have a very flexible work schedule, which means a lot of play time for your pup! I’m currently working remote part-time and have the flexibility to choose my own hours, which means I have plenty of spare time during the day to spend with your pup! I treat your pets as if they are my own, giving them the same amount of love and attention if not more! I always make sure they are well cared for and that the client comes home to a clean house and happy pets!
“Desiree did an excellent job with our two dogs. She was friendly, responsive, and professional. She has the perfect set up to care for your animals and she sends timely updates and photos during the stay. I strongly recommend booking with her.”

“Cooper and Chase had a very good second stay with Nathan and Courtney. They were giving a lot of attention and spent time in the fenced backyard. A much better alternative to a kennel. We were sent pictures every day to keep up with how our boys were doing.”

“Melanie is an incredible dog sitter. She worked with me on short notice, is very welcoming, and made me feel that my dog will receive the love and care I wanted. Communicates often so you know that your dog is well”

“Lucia is a very kind person and a great sitter! She has a large, fenced-in yard, two small dogs that got along great with mine, and gave them plenty of attention and care. Highly recommended!”

About: I’m a loving pet owner with a dog of my own, and I’ve always had a huge love for animals. I’ll treat your pup like my own and make sure they get plenty of love, attention, and care! I work full-time, but I’m home a lot and have a flexible routine that allows me to give pets plenty of attention and care. I have a dog of my own, so I’m used to keeping up with walks, playtime, and feeding. I’m also home on weekends, making it easy to hangout with the pups! I have a fenced yard where dogs can safely play, and I love going on walks! I also have a friendly dog who loves having friends to play with.
“Rebeka was absolutely amazing with our dog. He was new to us and we had never boarded him before. She took the time to meet with us beforehand to make sure it was a good fit. She sent multiple updates and photos to help put me at ease. She listened to our requests and did a phenomenal job. I will definitely use her in the future!”

“Jess is phenomenal! Excellent and quick communication for a last minute booking. She took such great care of my senior dog and even sent me pictures during the stay. Bonnie wasn’t sure she wanted to leave 😆😅 Thank you again, Jess!”

“Kat took such great care of Tux! She came home happy and so much less stressed than when she has to stay at a boarder. She sent me pictures of the fun and cuddles they shared. I will definitely rebook for our next weekend trip!”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
