“We were very happy with how Brooke took care of our Corgi. He came out of her house safe and happy and went back the next day happy to see her. We hope to use Brooke again and would recommend her for your pet!”

“Mary was great. She was able to accommodate to my schedule for a last minute beach trip and sent updates of my baby before I could even ask for them. Will be a returning client!”

“Lindy was an excellent sitter for my dog, Max. She was very accommodating and even squeezed him in at the last minute over the Thanksgiving break. She was super communicative, sent pictures and messages every day and a couple videos too when I first dropped him off because she knew I was a nervous Mom. She washed his sheet and slobber rags when I picked him up, gave him a refresh and sent him home with some puppy treats! Lindy will be the only person I will leave my Max with if my sister is not available, she was AWESOME!!!”

“Sam was awesome and treated my baby girl as if she were her own! photos were sent of the fun time that was had while we were also having a great time! We will most definitely be contacting her again for our next planned vacation!”

“Nathan sent updates daily reassuring us that our pup was doing well. He was also flexible when our travel plans faced a delay. Would recommend to anyone who wants a safe and fun environment for their fur babies.”

“This is my second booking with Mary and William, and they did an amazing job taking care of my dog once again! They are always professional, kind, and caring. You can genuinely tell how much they love and care for the pets they look after. My dog comes home happy every time, which gives me so much peace of mind when I am away. I truly appreciate them and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, loving pet sitters. Thank you both again!”

“Michelle was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Peaches. From the moment we arrived, she and her family seemed to connect with Peaches immediately. I was initially apprehensive about leaving her in a home with other dogs, but any concerns quickly disappeared when Peaches started playing with her new friends before we could even leave. Throughout the stay, Michelle provided daily photos and kept us updated on Peaches's eating habits and potty activities, which gave us great peace of mind. Peaches also enjoyed plenty of exercise, including daily walks on the nearby trails. It's clear that Michelle genuinely cares about the pets she watches and treats them like part of the family. I highly recommend her services and will definitely be using her again in the future!”

“Mia was great! She kept me informed and sent me pictures of my sweet boy Robi throughout the day. If you are looking for someone to take care of your dog(s) I definitely recommend her.”

About: Like everyone else on this app, I love dogs, and grew up with German Shepherds However, I started on the rover app because I wanted to provide something I thought was missing… reliable pet care for high energy and athletic dogs. I travel a lot and the last thing I want to worry about is if my 70 pound GSD is wearing out the kind old lady I left her with because that’s who was available. Rest assured, if you leave your dog with me for work or for play, I’ll treat them as if they were my own. Need daily runs or multiple walks a day? Good. We run every day. Need yard play time? Not a problem. Extra belly rubs? Easy. Is your Dog a couch potato? I have a couch and have happy to give rubs and chill out. The point is, weather for a week or a weekend, if you leave your dog with me, you can focus on where ever your travels are taking you. I have a pretty demanding full time job. I’m only available for boarding in my home. If I’m home, your dog has 100% of my focus. I have a very well trained and very social GSD and a large fenced in yard. I also have rooms I can fence off to give your dog some space. I’m happy to play fetch, take multiple walks, and daily runs if needed.
About: I'm a certified fitness coach& energy healer who's been in love with animals for as long as I can remember — so combining the two just made sense. I'm out running, walking, and hiking almost every day anyway, and I love having a dog along for the ride as my companion. Whether your pup needs a high-energy run to burn off zoomies, a steady long walk, or a scenic hike, I'll match their pace and keep them safe, happy, and well-exercised the whole time. I treat every dog like my own — plenty of affection, patience, and attention to their individual personality and needs. Your dog won't just get a walk; they'll get a genuine companion who's excited to see them. Pet care fits naturally into my everyday life rather than being a separate task I squeeze in. I teach fitness to private clients, which gives me a lot of flexibility in my schedule to take pups outside for walks, runs, or hikes throughout the day — not just squeezed into a narrow time slot. Whether I'm caring for pets in my own home or a client's, my priority is keeping their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. In a client's home, I stick closely to their normal schedule — feeding times, walk routines, medications if needed — and make sure they have plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while their owner is away. As an active person who's out running, walking, or hiking daily, I love incorporating pets into that lifestyle, so they get real physical enrichment, not just a quick potty break. In my own home, pets are treated as part of the household — free to relax, cuddle, and settle in, with plenty of outdoor time and supervision. I'm attentive to each animal's individual personality and comfort level, and I always prioritize safety, whether that's pet-proofing a space, using secure leashes/harnesses, or simply reading their body language to know what they need.
About: I have taken care of dogs, cats, chickens & cows! I love animals and hope to have a sanctuary of my own soon! I hope to serve you soon! I work part time in the emergency room, so I can usually move the sitting around my job! This is a great side job for me to make some extra money! I care for pets as if they were my own and I love them unconditionally. I have pets of my own and they are well taken care of!
About: Available full time to watch your babies. I love dogs and I have always had 1or 2 myself. My husband and myself have bought an RV and we live in it in a campground but we do have yard space and lots of space for walking your loved ones. I have worked for 1 1/2 years at a veterinarian office. Let me take care of your pet for you and you'll not have to worry about them. I am a very reliable person. I love dogs of all kinds and of all ages. I can sit them in their own surroundings in their home or at my home. I can provide you with a reference if you would like. Dogs mean so much to me and I love to show them all the loving they need. I in NO way believe in animal cruelty, it is not in no way tolerated!! Pick me and you won't be sorry. I don't work outside the home so I'll have plenty of time to play with your baby which is right down my alley. I love animals! I can let your pet roam in my home if that is what they are used to and that won't bother me. I can also crate your pet if need be but only if you instruct me to do so. I also have a small fenced area for them to roam.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
