About: I became a dog mom at 19, and have been dog-sitting off and on ever since! While the extra income is always nice, I mainly do it to prevent coming home with a new puppy every week. I treat all the dogs I meet like they're my own and give them as much love as I do to my own babies - an 11 year old Lab mix and 6 year old German Shepherd! They both have loved every dog I've ever had staying at my house. I'm comfortable with all breeds and all ages, and have no problem giving medications if needed. I am available during the daytime for long walks and have a very flexible work schedule, which means a lot of play time for your pup! About: January 2025, it was a crisp day with wearing layers of clothing to keep warm. I was on a walk around the neighborhood and saw two little kittens (less than nine months old). The nights were getting colder and I was not going to give up on finding these kittens. I ran into the family who was also feeding them. I took them in, and now they are part of my family. About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life. Growing up I was around breeds such as Labradors, Cocker Spaniels, Chows, German Shepards, Poodles and Lhasa Apsos. The first time I became a dog mom was to Zoe, a Bichon Frise. I lived in Chicago at the time in an apartment so I had to walk her multiple times a day. Bichons also need a lot of maintenance with their fur, so I’m very familiar with grooming methods of that type of breed. After Zoe, I became a dog mom to a Pit Bull/German Shepherd puppy, Garner. About: I've grown up caring for multiple breeds of dogs and some cats. I have adopted an older Lab Mix from a kill shelter and he is the sweetest, calm and loving dog. About: I became a dog mom at 19, and have been dog-sitting off and on ever since! While the extra income is always nice, I mainly do it to prevent coming home with a new puppy every week. I treat all the dogs I meet like they're my own and give them as much love as I do to my own babies - an 11 year old Lab mix and 6 year old German Shepherd! About: Like everyone else on this app, I love dogs, and grew up with German Shepherds However, I started on the rover app because I wanted to provide something I thought was missing… reliable pet care for high energy and athletic dogs. I travel a lot and the last thing I want to worry about is if my 70 pound GSD is wearing out the kind old lady I left her with because that’s who was available. Rest assured, if you leave your dog with me for work or for play, I’ll treat them as if they were my own. Need daily runs or multiple walks a day? Good. We run every day. Need yard play time? Not a problem. Extra belly rubs? Easy. Is your Dog a couch potato? I have a couch and have happy to give rubs and chill out. The point is, weather for a week or a weekend, if you leave your dog with me, you can focus on where ever your travels are taking you. I have a pretty demanding full time job. I’m only available for boarding in my home. If I’m home, your dog has 100% of my focus. I have a very well trained and very social GSD and a large fenced in yard. I also have rooms I can fence off to give your dog some space. I’m happy to play fetch, take multiple walks, and daily runs if needed.
