About: While I’m new to Rover and building my profile, I’m not new to caring for animals. I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life and have experience with pets of different ages, personalities, and needs. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, so I make communication a priority and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. Growing up, I also helped at a shelter with my mom, which gave me early experience working with animals of different temperaments and needs. I truly love animals and enjoy making them feel safe, happy, and comfortable. I’m very active and love spending time outdoors, especially hiking. I used to take my last dog, Loulou, on adventures with me, and I would love to have a furry companion to explore nature with. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or just keeping them company, I treat every pet like my own. I’m excited to earn the trust of both pets and their owners by providing reliable, loving care every time. I’m also flexible with location and can help with pick-up and drop-off if that makes things easier. Pet care fits easily into my routine since I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule. I’m consistently available on Wednesdays, Fridays, and often on weekends, and I can plan my days around the needs of the pets I’m caring for. On the days I’m available, I make sure to dedicate quality time to each pet whether that’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just giving them attention and companionship. I enjoy being active, so incorporating walks or outdoor time into my day feels very natural to me. I’m also attentive to each pet’s routine and will adjust my schedule to match their usual habits as closely as possible, helping them feel comfortable and secure. When caring for pets, I always focus on keeping them comfortable, safe, and as close to their normal routine as possible. I follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any specific preferences or habits the pet has. In my home, I create a calm and clean environment where pets can relax and feel at ease. I make sure they have plenty of attention, playtime, and regular walks, along with a safe space to rest. I’m attentive to their behavior and mood to ensure they’re happy and not stressed.

About: I have always had pets in my home whether that’s dogs, cats, fish, etc. I’ve fostered many kittens, one time 4 at once, and i’ve fed them and taken care one left behind by its mother. There has always been at least one dog in the home and currently i have two! I’m currently working a part time job and I have only one class in person at my college so I have a lot of free time! I have a spacious living area and two friends dogs to keep company. I have various different types of play pens/cages so whichever is most comfortable for your dog!

About: I’ve been caring for pets for more than 30 years, both my own and those belonging to friends and family. Over time, I became the person people call when they need someone they genuinely trust with their animals and their home. For years, pet sitting has simply been part of my life. I’m the go-to sitter for many of my friends, and I’ve reached the point where I want to make caring for animals a much more significant part of what I do. I’ve cared for pets through every stage of life, from healthy, energetic animals to seniors with complex medical needs. The longest I cared for one pet was 15 years. That experience taught me how important it is to know what is normal for an individual animal and to notice when something changes. That is a big part of how I approach pet sitting. I pay attention. I learn their routines, how they communicate, what makes them comfortable, and what stresses them out. I notice changes in appetite, energy, behavior, bathroom habits, breathing, vocalization, and the other small things that can tell you an animal is not feeling quite right. I’m also very comfortable following detailed care instructions. I have experience with special diets, oral medications, senior-pet care, behavioral issues, and more involved care routines. I understand that when an animal has specific needs, consistency matters. At the same time, I don’t believe every pet needs to be handled the same way. Some animals want constant companionship. Others prefer a little distance until they decide they trust you. Some want long walks and lots of play. Others are happiest sleeping nearby while you leave them alone. I don’t force interaction. I let the animal tell me what kind of relationship they are comfortable having with me. My goal when house sitting is to keep their life as normal as possible while you’re gone. That means maintaining their feeding, walking, play, medication, and sleep routines as closely as I can, while giving them the level of companionship they are used to. I also send regular updates and photos so you don’t have to wonder how things are going at home. And I take the “house” part of house sitting seriously. I treat someone else’s home with the same respect I would want someone to show mine. I keep the space clean and orderly, water plants, bring in mail and packages, take care of the ordinary household tasks that still need to happen while you’re away, and handle minor issues when I reasonably can. The feedback I hear most often is that the animals are happy and relaxed when their people return, and the house looks great. That’s exactly what I want. I want you to come home to happy pets, a cared-for home, and the feeling that while you were away, everything was in good hands. I work mostly from home, with the occasional job taking me out of the home for a few hours at a time. Sometimes as little as 2 hours, and sometimes as much as 8. I tend to schedule all my work and pet-sitting around each other so there's no conflict. For puppies, I won't leave them for more than an hour at a time, as they need more bathroom breaks. For smaller dogs, I try to cap it at 3-4 hours. Larger dogs can handle me being away for about 6 hours, and cats I can leave for up to 8. I follow each pet’s established routine closely and let trust develop at their pace. I’m attentive to changes in behavior or health, keep the home secure and orderly, and handle basic household needs while you’re away. My goal is simple: happy pets, a cared-for home, and no surprises when you return.

About: My first dog was when I was 5 yrs old and have had 6 since then. I have been a reliable source for my friends to love their dogs like my own and have dog sat, walked, and even taken them camping for a nature break. I chose River to fill the void of not being allowed dogs where I live. They are simply the best! I am currently working from home with weekends off which allows me a very flexible schedule to walk and care for your dogs when needed. I live in a dog friendly neighborhood and have a park within walking distance. Your pets safely is my main concern. I will always treat you fur baby with kindness and care.

About: I’ve loved animals my entire life and connecting with animals of all kinds is my greatest joy. Rescued is my favourite breed, and I specialize in watching senior pets and special needs pets. I have experience with seniors who require medications and particular care, as well as special needs, including but not limited to blind, deaf, and three-legged pets. I have a flexible work schedule and when I’m not at work, I’m a huge homebody and live alone, so your pet will get tons of one-on-one attention and love. I don’t have any dogs or cats of my own, and I only watch one dog at a time, so if your pet needs to be the sole pet, then we are a perfect fit. I do have one sweet senior guinea pig; she can be secured in another room if you’re worried about your pet bothering her. I absolutely love watching small pets as well and have tons of experience with guinea pigs. Please note that I currently work hybrid and go into work 2-3x a week. However I only have to be there from 10-3, so your pet would only be alone for a max of five hours. Luckily my work is super flexible, so if I need to adjust my hours or office days for your pet, please let me know and I can adjust my schedule. My office is also super dog friendly, if you think they’d like to come with me! My place is very quiet; I live alone and never have people over, and I’m home most of the time, so I’m great for anxious or shy pets. I also only board one dog at a time, so your pet will get 100% of my attention, which is also great for shy and nervous dogs who don’t do well with other dogs. (If you have two dogs I’m happy to watch them together, I just don’t watch dogs from different families at once.) I don’t have a backyard, but I do have a spacious balcony for your dog to sunbathe. I’m on the top floor and my building has an elevator, which is ideal for senior and special needs pups. Your pet is welcome anywhere in my apartment, from the couch to my bed, my home is their home.

“We have a fearful senior rescue dog with a complicated history, and Liz has been great about doing an initial meet-and-great and then an extended drop-in to spend time with our dog alone. She very much understands how to interact with a fearful dog who needs time to feel trusting. Her experience as the guardian of a rescue dog herself definitely comes into play. She was punctual, cheerful, and generous-minded, and we really appreciate her willingness to work with Penny! We will definitely use her again.”

Over the years, I have owned for a wide variety of breeds of all sizes, tiny Chiweenies and French Bulldogs, Goldendoodles, and gentle giant Bernese Mountain Dogs. While I love all dogs, I specialize in providing a patient, calm environment for rescue animals. Through my years of fostering, I have learned how to build trust with pups who have background trauma or severe anxiety. I know how to read animal body language, respect their boundaries, and gently help them feel safe and comfortable at their own pace. About: I don’t know life without pets. Proud mama to a goldendoodle and two cats. One cat I befriended for a year and took off of the streets so grateful for the unconditional love are fur babies are able to give us. I have a lot of free time and work flexibility would love to help working families while I am already spending time with my pets. I’ve been pet sitting for over 15 years. My work schedule is extremely open, so I have lots of time for scenic walks drop in visits and daycare for your fur babies. I have a car and tons of flexibility. I live right across the street from a very pet friendly park and in a spacious two bedroom apartment. I keep a camera plenty of enrichment and toys.

Studying to become a nutritionist, I've always made it a priority to keep my lifestyle balanced with exercise and school, especially with the help of Hershey. I began helping neighbors and friends walk their pups about 3 years ago and have been loving it since. Walking dogs not only gives me a chance to get outside and take a break from the constant studying, but to make a new friend as well! I can't promise I won't spoil your pup with love and treats, but I can guarantee our walks will keep your pup happy and healthy! I’m currently working part-time, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups!
