“My dogs were so excited to have Christine drop by for a visit during one of my long work days! I came home and could instantly tell she did a great job entertaining them and making sure they had ample time for potty breaks, following all of my guidelines to a T. She communicated very well and I am so grateful for her care. Looking forward to having her stay with them for an extended trip at the end of summer.”

“Ashley provided such a wonderful care for my dog and cat. I am so pleased I will definitely have her come again. Thank you so much Ashley. I could be at peace while I was gone on vacation and that is really important to me.”

“Our second time booking Valerie - this time for a longer trip. We were so at ease knowing Valerie was taking care of our cats, especially our older cat who has medical needs and desires lots of affection. Valerie made sure to give her extra snuggles and attention, while also giving our other cat the space she desires. We will definitely book again!”

“This is my second booking with Regan. Once for this come over/potty break/hangout; the other for a multi-overnight. My dogs absolutely LOVE when Regan comes over. Charlie loves everyone and likes to talk about it. Lucy is a very reserved but wants to check things out in case she need to hide. When Regan first met them, she came over to get the key. Lucy was like, "hey lady, 'sup?..", took 2 little ear scratches, and walked off (high praise from her). Charlie was like, "HELLO! You smell like friend." Given this response I knew these goobers would be in great hands. After both visits, when we came in, the girls were on the sofa like, "Dang... It's not Regan, just the parents," and promptly returned to sofa-mode. For our overnight, we returned to a nicely tidy house and happy dogs. (Not the case with other sitters.) We are excited to book with Regan again for our next overnight.”

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was 14. My first dog was a lab mix and he is now 14 years old. I currently have two cats and two dogs of my own that I have taken care of for the past few years. I have also helped friends and neighbors with their little furry friends by walking and feeding them. My current schedule for right now can be any night time stays. I can also help out anytime after 7:30am Monday to Fridays, or weekends full-day. I am close to local dog parks which I take my two puppies to everyday. They love to play with other dogs there and play tug of war or catch at the park. I also love to take walks by the water or go on hikes with my dogs.
“Natascha has taken care of our older dog several times now, and has done a great job! She is always on time, makes sure our girl is well fed and comfortable, and gives good updates on how things are going. would highly recommend!”

“She was great with my dogs. I appreciated being kept informed while I was gone. The videos she sent set me at ease because I could see my dogs being themselves and comfortable. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing that my dogs were being taken care of.”

“My 1st time using any online pet sitting service and I was lucky to have gotten Kim which was also a last minute emergency-request Christmas Break 2023. Kim was above and beyond great, kind, and helpful! My cat doesn't like any human as much as she does Me and now Kim! (My daughter isn't thrilled about that fact. LOL!) I completely trusted Kim with my home, my indoor cat and outdoor critters who also think they're family and can't be forgotten if I'm away. There was no doubt that I wanted Kim this 2nd time I had to be away. If I could give her more $, I always would because you can't put a price to the care and worry you and your pets feel when you have to be away from them. Kim KNOWS how to take care of ALL animals and she will care and respect your home (your pets home)! Thank you Kim for loving my Cat & my new Cat now too! My critters outside were also happy campers. Thank You for taking care of them too!”

About: I have 2+ experience as a vet assistant in general practice and ER. I have a lifetime of animal care experience with a wide variety of animals including cats and exotics. I know how important it is to have someone to watch your pets that will treat your babies like they are their own and put your mind at ease when you're away. I currently work 4 days a week (Mon-Wed and Sat.) but can work with you and be as flexible as possible with potty breaks for our dog friends. I am typically completely available on my days off I will treat your house and pets as my own and leave it the way I left it or more clean! I have respect for clients and love for all of the animals I care for, I take pride in making sure that everything is taken care of and exceeds expectations. I also am not afraid to ask you questions if I'm unsure of something.
About: Because pets are more than just animals, they are part of the family. I offer you the best attention and love for them. I love them. Right now I have time available for the care of your pet, I adapt to your schedule and care needs. I'm young and physically active. I adapt to your preference for the care of your pet, I have a nearby area to take him for a walk and play. At the moment I don't have my own pet but I will take care of yours as my own.

About: I currently work from home and have a good-sized and fully fenced yad. I've lived with dogs for my entire life and current have four of my own - all Border Collies. I compete in dog agility and also enjoy trick training. I volunteered at Seattle Humane Society for many years, including as a volunteer trainer assistant in the Reactive Rover program. I've had a couple of reactive rovers myself and am familiar with fear and fear-based aggression. I employ positive reinforcement training on my own dogs and with dogs I have worked with. Since training and competing in dog sports, as well as actively hiking in the Pacific Northwest has been my passion for the past decade, I have decided to make good use of the skills I've acquired. Dog that stay with me will be treated to plenty of outdoors time and if they are up for it - some hiking! I work from home and go out every day for a walk with dogs. On Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday I'm out hiking with dogs and would love to bring guest dogs out for some fun too! I have a fairly flexible schedule but do have some weekends blocked off as I do participate in dog sport events. I also have my own dogs so client dogs must be friendly toward other dogs. I treat my pet clients as if they were my own pets, which means a lot of individual attention and customized to the pet I'm working with. I make an effort to get to know each of my pet clients as individuals and and customize my care of them accordingly. Guest dogs will be given plenty of mental and physical activity.
“Brian is wonderful with our dog! He is easy to communicate with, reliable and trustworthy. Our dog loves to see him and looks forward to his visits. Brian really cares about our dog and I’m so grateful we connected. Not only does he clearly love and respect animals, he is also very professional and detail oriented. 100% recommend him for any pet sitting needs.”

“Drew is an asset to my household while I am away! I am a worry wart cat mommy so she very much put me at ease ?? all the while my babies were playing and having fun! I loved receiving the photos and texts of all 3 of them playing, I feel blessed knowing that my sweethearts are well taken care of while I’m gone! ??.”
“This is our second time using Genesis to check in on our fur baby! She does such a fantastic job, and Zoë absolutely adores her. I love the detailed report cards that she sends with each visit along with the fun pictures! If you are looking for a dog sitter or a dog walker, Genesis is the one, and I highly recommend her!!”

Absolutely nothing to complain about. Khayl came by prior to trip to get a lay of the land and meet my whole damn zoo. They were super communicative, asking great questions and providing detailed pet updates daily. I know my pets were well taken care of because they barely batted an eye when we returned! Clearly Khayl provided them with more than adequate feedings and lovings. Would recommend.

Ashely did a fantastic job with our two cats!! One of them is more shy and reserved and he came out almost immediately. I felt extremely comfortable with Ashely taking care of our cats while we were away and she did a fantastic job caring for our apartment as well. I would definitely book with her again in the future and definitely recommend her to anyone looking for cat care!

Kimberly went above and beyond and made sure my kitties were loved while I was away. She's very communicative, friendly, and trustworthy. Even my skiddish kitty felt comfortable with her. She's also an excellent plant mom! My plants look better coming home than when I left!

Emma was awesome, we had her do multiple day time drop ins for about a week. We had a couple of last min modifications and as Rover was able to, she was able to accommodate. We have dogs (great dane and an American Staffordshire terrier), cat, chickens and bunnies and she was able to check on them as well. Very helpful, communication was great and we got pictures for every visit she made.

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Waterman. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
