About: Lifelong dog lover with experience caring for dogs of all sizes, including large breeds. I recently lost a beloved family dog in Japan, which deepened my appreciation for the importance of compassionate, attentive care for animals. Although I do not currently have a pet of my own, I stay closely connected to animals through volunteering at the humane society, where I help care for and socialize dogs of different temperaments and needs. I am active, reliable, and very attentive to each animal’s individual personality and routine. I enjoy providing safe, loving care, regular exercise, and meaningful companionship tailored to each dog’s needs—whether that means calm indoor time, structured walks, or active outdoor time for more energetic dogs. I work mostly remotely, so I’m home the majority of the day and can provide consistent care and attention. I do have occasional appointments, but I plan my schedule to ensure pets are always checked on and cared for regularly. I’m also very active and enjoy hiking and outdoor time, so I’m happy to include pets who enjoy walks, exercise, and being out and about. I provide attentive, reliable care tailored to each pet’s needs and routine. I follow all owner instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special care or medications. In the home, I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and not alone for long periods, giving them consistent companionship and supervision. I keep the environment clean, calm, and stress-free, and I’m very respectful of the client’s home, treating it with care as if it were my own.
“Alyson is awesome, always on time, and always keeps us updated in how our dog does on her walks. We are using a dog walker every other week to expose our fearful dog to more people (recommended by trainer). We appreciate Alyson being part of our journey in helping our pup being less fearful.”

About: .One-on-one, in-home boarding for dogs who don’t do well in kennels or group settings. Only one dog or two from the same household is cared for at a time, with a near full-time presence so your dog is rarely left alone. Care is active and hands-on throughout the day. Dogs are engaged with, guided, and supported. Set on a fully fenced quarter-acre, there’s space to move, relax, and settle into a calm, structured home environment. Steady, attentive care so you can step away without second-guessing. I care for a blind and deaf dog for two hours daily. While I am out, your dog will be inside the home that was specifically created with your dog comfort. Each day follows a calm, structured rhythm based on the individual dog. Mornings begin with outdoor movement, followed by relaxed, unhurried meals. The day balances activity and rest, with space to move, play, and decompress, while gentle guidance is naturally integrated throughout. Evenings are calm and predictable, allowing each dog to fully settle in a safe, peaceful home with one-on-one attention..

“Very happy with her services. They walk my dogs when we are going to be out the house for a while. They always update us how they do on their walks and send us pictures. Very reliable!”

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong, hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’ve grown up caring for Labs, Rottweilers, Chihuahuas, Border Collies, Huskies, and a Mini Goldendoodle — so I understand everything from high-energy working breeds to small companion dogs. When I was 14 years old, I became the primary caregiver for my Chihuahua, who was under a year old when we brought her home. I cared for her throughout her entire life, including providing attentive, compassionate senior care as her needs changed in her later years. That experience taught me responsibility, patience, and how to adjust care as dogs age. I’ve also cared for an energetic Husky, so I’m very comfortable with active dogs who need structured exercise and mental stimulation. I raised my Mini Goldendoodle from 6 weeks old and handled all of her training, so I’m confident working with puppies and reinforcing good habits. I truly believe dogs deserve an enriching life beyond the home. I love beach walks and hikes, and I tailor each outing to match a dog’s energy level and personality. While dogs may be part of our world, to them we are their whole world — and I care for every dog as if they were my own. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine because I work remotely from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Being home throughout the day allows me to provide consistent supervision, companionship, potty breaks, and attention for dogs in my care. During working hours, I’m available for shorter walks (up to 30 minutes), drop-ins, and in-home care. My meeting schedule varies day to day, so timing during work hours will need flexibility, but I always communicate clearly to coordinate a time that works best. After 3:00 PM, I have full availability for longer walks, outings, and dedicated time with your dog. In My Home: Dogs staying with me have access to my office/guest room, the main living areas, and a fully fenced backyard at all times. Because I work remotely from 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, I’m home throughout the day to provide supervision, companionship, potty breaks, and attention. Dogs are never isolated and can stay near me while I work, helping them feel comfortable and secure. They’ll also have the opportunity to play with my docile and friendly Mini Goldendoodle, Nova, who loves having company. Of course, I always prioritize safe, positive introductions and will separate dogs if needed to ensure everyone feels comfortable. I provide regular walks, playtime, and enrichment based on each dog’s energy level — whether that’s relaxed outdoor time or more active exercise. I follow feeding schedules, routines, and any specific care instructions closely to make the transition from your home to mine as smooth as possible. Drop-In Visits (Client’s Home): For drop-ins, I focus on keeping your dog’s routine consistent in their familiar environment. Visits can include feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medication if needed, and lots of attention. I always respect your home and leave it exactly as I found it, and I provide updates so you feel confident your pet is in good hands.

About: I’ve taken care of pets of all kinds for years and would love to be of service to someone who needs help on the weekends, early mornings, or evenings. I would be happy to sit and hang out with an elderly dog or take your active pup on a hike. When I’m not with your dog, I’m working at castle hospital, at the gym or doing photography. I work 8-4pm Monday to Friday so I’m open to early morning walks or evening check ins until 10pm. Open to flexible needs on the weekends and holiday coverage. I currently live with a husky so it would be best if I came to your home. Unfortunately, I am allergic to cats so I can’t be around them but dogs are okay!
“Alexis was awesome and took great care of Ridge. She has excellent communication and really does take pride in caring for your animals. I felt very comfortable with her and I’d be happy to have her care for my pup any day.”

About: Growing up I've always had a dog or multiple dogs, I just enjoy playing with them and never lived without one. Ive taken care of different types of dogs from really big to really small dogs. I take the time to take them on walks to the beach as the beach is only 10 minutes away from my house made sure they have fun baths and fed. I work in a hospital and work 3 days a week and have 3 days off in a row. One week i work Monday, Tuesday and saturday and the next week i work Sunday, thursday friday which makes me off every other weekend as well, I spend a lot of time home with my dogs and cleaning house and pets are allowed to be in the house My yard is fenced all around, gates are closed all day and no way to get out of the yard. I keep my front door open as I'm home all day to let access for pup to come in and out of the house. Tend to keep a lot of small things out of reach as I do have a pup too.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
