About: Proud stay-at-home dog dad. Experience with large and small and in between. Always happy to have new dog friends come and stay. Fun is important to us, but safety comes first. Always looking for study breaks to walk some beautiful pups! Studying full time for now, at home. Partner works full time. Primary caretaker for our two dogs - food, meds, walks. I am home all day, with transportation. For boarding, I will be in the house almost constantly. For my own dogs, I manage their medication and feeding. We walk several times a day and get out to the dog park or the beach every day.
About: Aloha! I am a dog-loving, mom of three boys, two dogs, and a military spouse of 15 years. Being flexible and dependable is pretty much my lifestyle. I grew up with dogs, and I’ve personally cared for my own since I was an adult. I have also fostered rescue dogs for Okinawa Stray Pet Rescue. I have experience with a wide range of breeds, all sizes, and dogs from newborn puppy to 15 year old seniors with very limited mobility. I am probably over paranoid when it comes to safety, so you can trust that your dog will be in good, responsible hands! I understand that each dog is unique, and I treat each one as if they were my own. I know how important it is to feel confident in who you choose to care for your fur baby, and I’m happy to provide what your pup needs! My only time constraints are shuttling kids to and from school and activities so I have lots of free time to spend with your pup! As previously mentioned, I am very cautious and your dog’s safety is my top priority. I have personally owned dogs who are “runners” so I’m constantly aware of my surroundings and the dog’s behavior when caring for them.
“Rebecca was amazing! She was able to accept a last minute request with no hesitation, was incredibly communicative, and always included a fun note and great pictures of her time with Char. I could tell he was well taken care of (and spoiled!) and I highly recommend her for any pet needs, from now on she will be my first choice dog sitter.”

“Alyson is awesome, always on time, and always keeps us updated in how our dog does on her walks. We are using a dog walker every other week to expose our fearful dog to more people (recommended by trainer). We appreciate Alyson being part of our journey in helping our pup being less fearful.”

About: I have always had a dog present since I was born. With that I have always wanted to build a strong connection with them. This includes belly rubs, giving treats, going for walks/venturing, or playing with doggy toys. I am currently working a part-time job and typically available at the beginning of the week. I do sometimes pick up shifts but I am pretty flexible with my time. During my days off I will have a plethora of time for your pets to keep company for a walk or being social. I often times like to match a pets energy. If they need some play time, I will be more than happy to give them needed attention. If they would like to have a more chill day, we can go for a nice calm walk or just relax outside on the grass.

“Ashley walked my dog for an hour each day over two weeks, giving her a some regular attention, stimulation and exercise. She was patient, as my dog is shy and takes time to warm up to new people. The walks went smoothly, and I felt like I had nothing to worry about. Ashley easily followed instructions, took lots of photos, and gave useful updates. She was reliable, punctual, and I know my dog looked forward to her midday walks. I’d recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable dog walker!”

Would absolutely book with her again.”

About: I’ve spent my entire life around dogs and animals, helping raise my family’s pets and learning firsthand how to provide the best possible care. I’m also a volunteer with the Humane Society, where I’ve fostered injured dogs back to full recovery as well as kittens and cats ranging from just 2 weeks old to a few years old. I currently live in Kailua on Oahu and am excited to help as many pet owners as I can. I truly love animals and always treat them like family, making sure your furry loved one feels safe, happy, and well cared for. As an added bonus, I also offer complimentary pet photography for any pets I care for, so you’ll receive some special photos of your pet during their time with me. Through my experience, I understand that every pet has unique needs and routines. I provide personalized care that can include feeding, walks, playtime, training reinforcement, rest, medication administration, and socialization. I am comfortable administering medications to both cats and dogs, and many of the animals I’ve fostered required medical care and rehabilitation, giving me hands-on experience with sick or injured pets as well. Reach out to me at any time! I am happy to help when I can:) I am readily available any day and any time at the moment! I also exercise daily and go on long walks. More than happy to include a pet during this time for some exercise! With my experience I know that every pet has its own routine and different approach that is needed for care. Care includes feeding, exercise/ playtime, training, rest, medication routine, and socialization. The animals I have voluntarily fostered all required medication and rehabilitation due to injuries/illness from being stray animals. This experience taught me how to care for sick/injured animals as well.

“Awesome experience with Tony taking care of our pups. He was so sweet with them, and sent pictures every day to ease my anxious dog-mom mind. Communication was excellent, and Tony was flexible with taking care of each dog's individual needs and quirks. Would definitely use Tony and Karen again when the need arises!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets of all kinds for years and would love to be of service to someone who needs help on the weekends, early mornings, or evenings. I would be happy to sit and hang out with an elderly dog or take your active pup on a hike. When I’m not with your dog, I’m working at castle hospital, at the gym or doing photography. I work 8-4pm Monday to Friday so I’m open to early morning walks or evening check ins until 10pm. Open to flexible needs on the weekends and holiday coverage. I currently live with a husky so it would be best if I came to your home. Unfortunately, I am allergic to cats so I can’t be around them but dogs are okay!

Kayla was extremely accommodating and respectful despite my short-notice booking request. Her communication was very prompt and comforting especially the photos and videos of my pup while on walks. You really cannot ask for a better caregiver of your fur babies. Please don’t hesitate to ask her for help

Sarah is amazing! Being the helicopter dog parent I can be, it was very nice to get frequent updates as well as a summary of the visit which included water breaks, shishi breaks, etc. very insightful, and thoughtful! Also love the photos I could tell my girls were in good hands.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
