About: I spent the past 4 years running a successful dog-watching business in NYC with my partner. We have since relocated to Northern NJ and intend to provide the same high quality services for pets here. I grew up with animals - dogs, rabbits, birds, mice, turtles and fish. I would’ve had cats too if members of my family weren’t so allergic. As a teen I volunteered with friends at our local animal shelter and chose to work with the cat population because most of the volunteers wanted to walk the dogs. Most recently I trained my own dog - starting from when she was 6 weeks old. I used a combination of training techniques (including crate training) to successfully potty-train her, teach her to walk on a leash and eventually teach her to hike and run together off-leash. My dog is now 3 years old and I bring her to my grandmother’s assisted living facility. She interacts with and plays appropriately with other dogs, pets, adults and children of all ages. She is a secure dog and adaptable to any environment. I believe my dog’s calm and friendly demeanor is a direct reflection of my skills. I’m prepared to handle dogs across the spectrum of sizes and energy levels. I live close to many beautiful parks and trails, some with dedicated areas for dog-play. I will closely follow any instructions you have for feeding, exercising, sleeping and socializing your precious pet. I work part-time from home and set my own schedule so I am able to dedicate the appropriate time and attention to your pet easily. I will treat your pet like part of my family if they stay with me. I have a very calming presence that animals seem to react really well too. I am happy to watch your pet at your place if that works best. I provide an engaging, safe environment no matter the location.

“Outstanding service! I needed a last-minute backup sitter when our regular sitter wasn't available. Karen responded -and continued to respond throughout our interaction- immediately and thoughtfully. She asked excellent questions at our "meet-n-greet" and our pup immediately warmed to her and her well-kept home. I wasn't able to tell her exactly when I would be back to pick up due to lack of cell service but she took it in stride and replied "No problem" when I was finally able to communicate. Karen is new to this site and I'm confident she will be racking up 5-star reviews in no time. I will definitely use her again and tell my friends.”

About: I take dogs into my home to be loved and treated as my own. I am home all day and have alot of time all day to take care of them. I am retired, local resident with ample time on my hands. Willing to accommodate short notice if necessary. Reliable transportation can provide pick up and drop of service. I feed them, walk them, play with them as they were my own. Give medicine as needed. Provide trips to local dog park thru out the day.

“Manuel is simply fabulous!! My dog is 12 and had an ACL tear and had surgery. I needed someone to watch him for the day about a week after surgery. My dog had a cone and a lick sleeve and we went for a Meet and Great with Manuel. He was so warm, professional and compassionate to my lil guy. My dog stayed with him a few days later and it was perfect. Manuel had to carry my dog up the steps and he was so gentle and loving. I highly recommend Manuel. You can’t get anyone better to take care of your furbaby!!”
