“I was so nervous to drop off my newly rescued small Chiweenie and Geoff and Jenny did such a good job caring for him with so much love. Super friendly and accommodating. I can’t wait for him to go back to another doggy daycare day!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Marcy’s Dog Daycare! From the moment I dropped my dog off for his first visit, I knew he was in great hands. Marcy is incredibly kind, professional, and has such a deep love for animals—it’s clear she’s not just doing this as a business, but because she genuinely cares about the dogs in her care. Not only did Koda have a blast playing with other dogs, but he came home exhausted (in the best way possible!) and with a huge smile on his face. I could tell he had been well taken care of and treated like part of the family. I would highly recommend Marcy’s Dog Daycare to anyone looking for a safe, loving, and reliable place to leave their pet. It’s such a relief to know that my dog is not only cared for but actually enjoys his time there. I will definitely be bringing Koda back!”

“Valerie was great with Ophelia. She got her outside a lot so she could sniff to her heart's content. Saw her first deer! Great communication. Thanks for taking such good care of our pup!”

“I had such a good feeling about Desi and Mimi, and I was not disappointed at all! They took amazing care of my little boy and made sure he had the best time playing and socializing with the other pups. They sent me photos while he was there, which made me so happy and gave me so much peace of mind. Their communication was great, and I really appreciated how they listened to all of my concerns. When I picked him up, he actually went back to say goodbye, which was so funny because he has never done that with anyone before! That alone told me he had an amazing time. I’ll definitely be bringing him back, not just when I need a sitter, but just so he can have a fun day. I highly recommend them! Desi and Mimi, thank you so much for treating my pup like your own!”

“Darien was amazing with my dog Mia! She sent so many pictures and Mia seemed instantly comfortable with Darien and her husband. 10/10 would recommend Darien and will be using her again!”

About: I grew up surrounded by dogs, learning to love each breed uniquely. Our pets truly become part of the family and we must treat them as such! I have experience in potty training, crate training and teaching tricks! I am available for daily walks, days and nights. I am available for boarding Monday - Sunday. I am also available on holidays, please just let me know in advance. My dog, Arlo, is a super friendly Mini Aussie who will also keep your pup company. A fenced dog park is available nearby for them to play and run. I will follow feeding, potty, and medication instructions accordingly.
“We just had our second stay with Tracy and Steven and we couldn’t be happier that we chose them as our dog’s trusted caregivers! They are so sweet, flexible and are so loving towards dogs! Looking forward to continue using them!”

About: I know the specific 'sad eyes' when you pack your bags. My goal is to make my home feel your home and know the exact ways your dog likes their ears scratched, so your dog feels like they’re on a vacation, not just waiting for you to return. I’m home full-time, an early riser, and an active person so I can easily take on your dogs routine and any special needs or requests. I have a fenced yard and a neighborhood with sidewalks. I have three children who love dogs as well and understand safety around meeting new dogs. We are a dog family and love to cuddle!
About: I have years of experience in the caretaking of animals and I’ve always done it with love, my family and friends always trusted me to care for their pets since I was younger and i’ve always enjoyed it. I love every part of taking care of animals whether its grooming, bathing oral medications administration etc… Animals will always hold a special place in my heart. My schedule is very flexible, I usually stay home and do online school work most of the time, so I’m available really anytime on weekdays and sometimes on weekends. I will care for the pets by making sure they are well fed, kept clean and healthy. I live in a very safe neighborhood with a nice park down the street. I have an animal friendly household with fences outside to ensure that the pets wont wander off.

“Digdem is amazing!! After another Rover sitter cancelled on us at the last minute, she agreed to take our 9 year old, anxious, Weimaraner last minute on Thanksgiving Day! She was so accommodating and sent frequent updates throughout the day. We are so grateful to have found her and can’t wait to use her again. Very highly recommend!!”

“Lily loves going to Amanda’s house. She goes weekly for daycare and when we go on vacation for longer stays. We trust Amanda like she’s Lily’s second mom :). Lily gets a lot of love and attention and we’re so grateful to her and her husband Max (Lily’s best friend).”

“Yuberkis took such great care of my sweet Boy!! She provided pictures and videos throughout the day, which I really appreciated. I will definitely be booking with her again.”

“If you’re looking for an excellent experience for your dog when daycare is needed, Enis simply knocks it out of the park! My dog usually has an “inspection” phase when meeting his care taker initially, but with Enis, he was instantly at ease and was relaxed and happy when I picked him up. Very impressed and I will definitely contact Enis again in the future.”

“Cinthia was amazing with Koda. She was very communicative and provided regular updates throughout the day. I felt very comfortable with her watching my dog and knowing he was in good hands. Would totally recommend leveraging cinthia if you have the opportunity.”

“Alicia was so amazing with GG she went out of her way to make sure All the care instructions were done it was a pleasure talking with her she’s super sweet I feel very comfortable having GG stay with her and I would definitely highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve taken care of my precious doggies ever since I was 10 years old. Many people have even called me the “dog whisperer” 👀. I have a puppy of my own and we go on long walks by a gorgeous fall by our apartment. In unrelated addition, I have experience with elder dogs so I know how to administer medicine in various sneaky ways. Please me advised that I DO NOT do walks when it’s raining. I work from home so I would be with your pup 24/7 giving theme lots of attention which would probably (definitely) affect my work but who caaaares, puppies are way more important in my life 😭💕. I live in an apartments but has lots of private property space in the back for dogs to run around! My apartment complex is dog friendly so we have a community of dogs that are very friendly and love meeting new friends. I have a puppy that hasn’t turned 1 yet but she is EXTREMELY, CONCERNINGLY friendly (guard dog WHO?) so she would absolutely love to share her space with literally anyyyy dog. Please be advised that I DO NOT do walks when it’s raining.
“Jinghong is a very caring sitter. My dog Bacon fell in love with her starting from meet and greet. Bacon was well taken care of, and I really appreciated the updates and photos. It was obvious he was happy and comfortable during his stay. Thank you for treating him with such care—I would absolutely book with you again and highly recommend you to others!”

“Outstanding service! I needed a last-minute backup sitter when our regular sitter wasn't available. Karen responded -and continued to respond throughout our interaction- immediately and thoughtfully. She asked excellent questions at our "meet-n-greet" and our pup immediately warmed to her and her well-kept home. I wasn't able to tell her exactly when I would be back to pick up due to lack of cell service but she took it in stride and replied "No problem" when I was finally able to communicate. Karen is new to this site and I'm confident she will be racking up 5-star reviews in no time. I will definitely use her again and tell my friends.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Little Falls
I couldn't have asked for a better first Rover experience! We just moved to the area, and my dog, Jinx, began to bark when left alone. I was nervous about leaving her with someone new for the first time (she is 13 and has never been left in a new environment). This was a last-minute booking, and it couldn't have gone better. Jinx was so comfortable from the start, and it was clear she received so much love and attention. The sitter and her son spent time cuddling with her, and she looked genuinely happy and relaxed. Knowing she was so well cared for gave me complete peace of mind. I would absolutely book with them again!

Megan is the best! My dog is definitely not the simplest dog to take care of, but she made sure my dog felt super comfortable and happy. She sent me plenty of photos to keep me updated and made sure to ask all the right questions to make sure my dog was well taken care of. Genuinely the best dog sitting experience I’ve had!

Darien is incredible! Right off the bat when we first met her we got an excellent first impression. She will care for your pet like her own. Kind, compassionate and loving toward our dog. Darien is very flexible and reliable, which made our Thanksgiving gathering less stressful for the day. Thank you Darien for making life a bit easier during the Holidays!

Pooja was amazing with my Harlem. We did doggy daycare for two days and she kept me updated via message with all of his activity in any questions that she had. It’s hard to trust anyone to watch your dog, but her proactive communication & effort that she took to take care of him reassured me that he was in good hands and was having the time of his life! I’m so happy with the exceptional care that Pooja provided for Harlem and would rebook her again! Harlem says thank you!!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
