“I could not recommend Carly enough! My dog had surgery and I was incredibly anxious to leave him with anyone, but I had to look around on Rover as he had to be supervised post-surgery while I went to work. Right from meeting her, both my dog and I loved her! She is so caring, accommodating, and communicative. She sent me updates and photos throughout the day. I honestly can’t wait to book her again!”
About: Pets have always been part of my life. I've had dogs, cats, goldfish, betta fish, hamsters, bunnies, and chinchillas. Currently in my care are the adorable bunny brother-and-sister duo I call the Wonder Twins, a senior Staffie mix who doesn’t like going down the shore so we’re weekend buddies, and Sassafrass, the “fraidy" cat. Each of these animals has its own rhythm and needs, and I've learned to pay close attention to what makes each one comfortable, whether that's a quiet room, a clean habitat, or a gentle, familiar routine. Since I'm retired, my days have a lot of natural flexibility built in. I can offer morning, midday, and evening visits throughout the week, not just squeezed-in slots around a nine-to-five. Pet care isn't something I fit around my life. It's become one of the things I structure my life around, alongside my own dog, Mojo. All of my care happens in your home, not mine. I come to you for dog walks and feeding visits, so your pet stays in their own familiar space with their own food, bed, and routine. For dogs, that means a walk at their pace around your neighborhood. For cats and smaller pets, it means fresh food and water, litter box or habitat cleaning, and some quiet one-on-one attention. At this time, I don't board pets in my own home. Keeping care in your space is part of what keeps things low-stress for your pet and simple for you.
“Booked last minute. Geoff communicated quickly, followed all instructions & took good care of my pup. He was very punctual and Fanta had a great time with him. Thank you”

About: I know the specific 'sad eyes' when you pack your bags. My goal is to make my home feel your home and know the exact ways your dog likes their ears scratched, so your dog feels like they’re on a vacation, not just waiting for you to return. I’m home full-time, an early riser, and an active person so I can easily take on your dogs routine and any special needs or requests. I have a fenced yard and a neighborhood with sidewalks. I have three children who love dogs as well and understand safety around meeting new dogs. We are a dog family and love to cuddle!
“Claudine is an excellent reliable dog walker and my pup Pebbie is beyond thrilled to see her during her weekly walks!! She is very attentive to my pup and her needs. Her walks are long and just the right amount of time for my pup to burn energy. She even plays fun games to also make the walks more mentally stimulating. I cannot recommend Claudine and her services enough!”

About: Lifelong Dog and Cat person, have always had pets and always will. I love all animals. My dog Hank was diagnosed with Glaucoma right before his 6th birthday; it was an adjustment getting used to a new routine of 3 different types of Eye-drops, every 8 hours. My friends and colleagues had often commented, "You're really good with animals." the💡idea became a recurring suggestion that I would enjoy offering temporary care to other people's Pets, similarly to how I lovingly care for any of my own animals. Often get asked why/how my dog Hank is so well behaved, mellow, and such a good dog. Is it the training? "Sure," of course. But most of it is quite simple: Hank is rarely left alone. He goes everywhere with me. He hikes about 5 miles every day. He doesn't overeat, or sit-around. He's active, gets exercise, and is socialized often with other people and pets. So when he meets a new person, it's not a first, it's his daily routine. If your work/life balance has you leaving your pet alone most days? I can help change your dog's daily routine - so when you come home from work? Your dog has had a full day of activities they enjoy, and are happy to see you (with less pent up energy) Available 7 days a week to care for your dogs or cats. Have flexibility to be able to adjust to a variety of tasks. Let's chat about what you need. Whether I'm stopping-in quickly to fill the water & food bowl, administering some mid-day medication, taking your dog outside for a brief walk, or picking up your pet at your place & taking it to their favorite park or nature center; even having your pet for a play-date at my house with our huge fenced in Yard, or doing a doggy slumber party at your home. I'm ready to keep your pet entertained, well cared for, well fed, up to date on all medications, and very well-loved while they're in my care. Relax knowing, i've checked ✔️ off that box representing the responsibility of your dog or cat, while you're working or vacationing.
“Giselle was amazing. We just moved in and needed someone last minute to walk my dog. Giselle was respectful and reliable. She was also so sweet with my dog. I will absolutely be requesting her services in the future.”

“Allison was able to help us with our pets last minute when our usual walker had to cancel. She was so friendly and even made the time to stop over the day prior to introduce herself, grab the house key and meet our dog. It’s a bit unsettling handing over your life to someone you just met, but she gained our trust and confidence in just a few minutes. Would highly recommend and will definitely use again. Thank you, Allison!”

“Nicole does a great job with walking and doggy day care! Both of our girls have different energy levels and Nicole is great at catering to both! We'll definitely continue to use her and are very grateful for finding someone that understands our dogs and really cares about their well-being.”

“I was so pleased with the Antony's service and commitment to caring for Winnie. Antony goes above and beyond to help. I am a repeat customer and he never disappoints. I’ve recommended Antony to all my friends and family, and I will continue to do so! You should definitely give him a try, you won't be disappointed.”

About: I have always been involved in pet care in my home for over 15 years. I have had experience with elderly dogs and cats of my own. I have pet-sitted in my neighborhood for puppies and for breeds different from my own dogs. I will use my energy to play with your pet and hopefully decrease their energy. I have a very flexible schedule since graduating college and applying to graduate school nearby. I have lots of time and availability for stop-ins during the day or bringing study materials to a client’s home. My yard is fenced in and I can take dogs for a walk in Brookdale Park nearby. I will administer medicine and play with dogs and provide them with a cuddly environment.
About: I absolutely love caring for animals. I used to be a receptionist at a vet clinic and love meeting new pets. I am a dog owner myself, which has allowed me to learn more about dogs and their individual needs. I have experience administering oral medications. I have also learned to figure out if something is wrong, or if they need medical care. I will make sure to care for your pet as if it was my own. I know it’s hard leaving our pets so please let me know what I can do to make it as comfortable as possible for you and your pet. I recently moved to New Jersey and I’m currently unemployed. I am a mom to a toddler, and I’m unable to do any long term overnight stays, but may make an exception if it’s only a day. I can feed your pet, administer medication, take them on walks or just simply hang out so they are not lonely while you are gone.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Little Falls
I’m home recovering from surgery and had never used Rover before, so I was really nervous about booking in general. Katie was beyond sweet, patient, and treated Curley so kindly. The first day, she brought her daughter, who was also the sweetest and such a bonus since Curley loves kids! They communicated with me and shared the cutest pictures. I felt really comfortable having them walk Curley and will definitely continue booking with them ☺️

I was so thankful to have found Maureen to walk my dog, Jimmy, during my surgical recovery when I was not permitted to walk the dog on a leash. Having Maureen walk the dog during my recovery reduced a lot of stress so that I could recover more quickly. She is an incredible, punctual, flexible, and trustworthy dog walker. She truly loved Jimmy, who gave her kisses after every walk. Maureen followed all my direction for caring for Jimmy. What was most incredible was that Maureen walked Jimmy through the extremely cold weather that we just experienced. She went above and beyond in walking Jimmy through these cold temperatures by wrapping him in a fleece blanket and carrying him to spots where he could poop and pee. Maureen is highly professional and will go the extra mile to take loving care for your dog. I would highly recommend her and would book her again to take care of Jimmy.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
