“Our sitters were easy to communicate with, and we felt comfortable knowing our cats were safe, well cared for, and happy. We came home to a clean house and content pets, couldn’t ask for more!”

“Thank you so much for taking care of my girl! I’m always so happy to book Kyra, I know my cat is in excellent hands with her! Kyra is so attentive and leaves such detailed notes about each visit. Would 10000% recommend!”

“Reliable and very helpful. We paid for drop-in service over Christmas. Deb took care of both of our Amstaff mixes for a week and a half during the massive bomb cyclone that froze N. America. Our older dog had an accident the first night before the first drop-in and Deb took care of it. He is also aging and needed some extra tlc. Everybody and everything looked great when we got back! Thank you so much!”

About: I have been an animal lover all of my life. I grew up with cats, caring for my beloved Walter until he passed at 20 years old. I have since had the pleasure of my own Lab (now 10) as well as experience in Doggy Day Care where I was playroom manager and responsible for dogs anywhere from 1-20 in one playroom at a time(room combo of an average of 45-55 dogs in the whole building split between rooms and size).I am looking forward to more one on one relationships with families and their pets. I am looking forward to a career as a Vet Technician, and plan to take classes in the Fall. At the moment, I am wide open to spend time with local pets as I prepare to return to school. My plan come Fall will be part time classes and more time animals. Pet care will be my priority in my weekly routine. I always spend time in advance with the fur babies to get to know them and importantly, discuss the pet parents' needs. Do they need special food? Special training at meals for over excited pups? How much do they like to play/walk? Do they like to interact with other pets or prefer to stay one on one with me? I am also extremely responsible in the homes of pet parents, cleaning up after the babies as well as making sure the home is secure.
“Jonathan has been a great drop-in sitter for my cat Mocha! It’s clear that he genuinely cares about animals, and I’ll definitely be booking him again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Jonny was so sweet and patient with Suki! She is a senior dog so she has very particular eccentricities and needs someone who will give her time and patience and he did just that 😊 10/10 would recommend”

“I was hesitant to use a new dog walker, but my experience with Natalie was very assuring and she was fantastic with my dog King! She was friendly, always on time for the walks, professional and very responsible. I feel so relieved now that I found another great Dog Walker. I highly recommend Natalie and look forward to using her in the future.”

“Tracy and Steven were awesome—our pets were clearly in great hands. They really took the time to bond with them, playing with our dog and giving lots of attention and cuddles to our cats. They showed up three times a day like clockwork and even grabbed a couple packages from the front door, which we really appreciated. The updates and photos after each visit were thoughtful and reassuring. It made a big difference not having to worry about our animal children while we were away. We’d definitely book them again.”

“So this was a very last minute & first time thing for me! Luckily Stephanie was able to accommodate me and come help with Myka. Stephanie spent some extra time with her and that means so much to us! Thank you again I will definitely be booking another visit!”

“Melissa was so sweet to our cat Hazel whom immediately took to her. Our road flooded and was closed due to a downed tree and she still came to feed her! I literally can't imagine someone nicer and more responsible.”

“Tom showed up on time and quickly got acquainted with our doggies. Doggies warmed up to him quickly. He spent some time with them as we will need him for future visits. He seems to be truly caring for furry friends.”

“Jon was the best sitter I ever had through Rover. I was very pleased when I met with him ahead of time, during the time he was sitting my dogs and when I came home everything looked as it should - He even brought in my packages for me and set them aside. Great person and a great sitter. Hope to use again -”

“Kelly is the absolute best. This was our first time on Rover, and her communications were clear and quick, and she did great work reassuring us that our pup was in good hands. Loved the photographs, and really appreciated the time she took to communicate with us by phone and by text. We’re only slightly concerned that our pup now likes her more than us! 😀 Hugely impressed with Kelly - she’ll take fab care of your pups.”

About: 📝 About me: Hi! I’m Caitlin, a full-time educator and experienced dog owner and foster based in downtown Montclair. I’ve spent many years caring for dogs of all ages, breeds, and temperaments — both personally and through rescue work. I regularly foster and have hands-on experience with: 🐾 Puppies and senior dogs 🐾 Frenchies, Boxers, German Shepherds, Shiba Inus, and more 🐾 Medically fragile dogs (including IVDD, allergies, and gastrointestinal needs) 🐾 Medication administration 🐾 Leash reactivity and behavioral needs I understand that every dog is different, and I take a calm, structured approach to help them feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. While I’m new to Rover, I bring over a decade of hands-on experience with dog ownership and fostering, including medically complex and behaviorally sensitive dogs. I maintain relationships with many of my fosters’ adoptive families and often pet sit for them when they travel. I’m happy to provide references upon request. 🏡 Your dog will be treated like part of the family in a clean, safe, and supervised home: -Supervised care (I have cameras in my apartment for added safety when I’m away from home) -Multiple daily walks + enrichment opportunities -Clean, comfortable indoor environment (dogs have access to all furniture and fluffy surfaces) -Consistent routines to reduce stress -Plenty of updates, photos, and communication My dog, Georgia, is friendly, social, and enjoys the company of other dogs. I always prioritize safe, appropriate introductions to ensure a good fit. 💊 Special skills: -Medication administration (oral, topical, etc.) -Experience with IVDD and mobility considerations (I have ramps for furniture) -Allergy-sensitive care (diet/environment awareness, bathing, ear care, etc.) -Handling anxious or leash reactive dogs -Rescue/foster transition support 📅 Availability: -Weekends… boarding, walks, and drop-ins -August… full availability for boarding and extended stays I work full-time outside of the home, but maintain a consistent routine with my dog, Georgia, including hour-long walks each morning and evening. During the day, she is cared for by a long-time, trusted dog walker. On weekends, I love taking her on hikes, beach trips, and other outdoor adventures. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and boarding on weekends and during school holidays. I’m also off for the entire month of August, when I can accommodate longer stays and provide more flexible, full-time care. Safety is always my top priority. I provide a calm, structured environment and closely supervise all dogs in my care. My home is dog-friendly, and I’m mindful about introductions, routines, and each dog’s individual needs. I have extensive experience with a wide range of dogs, including puppies, seniors, medically fragile dogs, and those with leash reactivity or special dietary needs. I’m comfortable administering medications and managing allergies. For boarding, I do not leave dogs unattended for long periods, and I provide regular updates, photos, and communication so you always know how your pet is doing. I also have cameras in my home for added peace of mind.
“Cheryl is great! She visited and went over our dog's needs (she is currently paralyzed), then rechecked with us on her care upon arrival. We got photos and she received lots of snugs from our dog!”
“Andrew is so caring. My two Siberian boys trusted him right away. I know everything went well not just because of the notes and pictures shared (which were great) but because my sweet boys greeted me joyfully having been well cared for!!”

“Brad was very responsive to a last minute request to let my dogs out when I couldn’t get back home in time to feed them. He fed them and let them out and hung out with them for awhile.”

Jade was so kind and patient with our cat Nutmeg, our feisty girl! Jade sent detailed updates, included pictures and videos; and most importantly, really developed a bond with our cat. Jade is responsive, professional in her communication, and easy to coordinate with. Highly recommend her for your pet!

Tirzah did an exceptional job taking care of my kitties. McLovin connected with her instantly, and she always played with him which he loves. Ms. Vanjie takes more time to get close to new people but Tirzah was patient and gave Vanj the space to come out and play when she was ready. I felt really good on my trip knowing our babies were safe and in good hands

Tracy and Steven were awesome—our pets were clearly in great hands. We’d definitely book them again.

I was very happy with Jenny as my cat sitter. She was very thorough with feeding the kitties and took a lot of time to brush Sweetheart and give her lots of attention. Shadow even came out a few times, something she rarely does. Jenny did a great job keeping the litter pan clean and throwing away the garbage. She also brought my mail in. I received a nice note daily as well as several photos. I would recommend her highly.

Jonny did a wonderful job taking care of our two cats for a few days! There were no issues while we were gone and he kept us updated with photos and messages throughout the stay. Jonny’s calm demeanor provided enough safety for even our shyest cat to come out and interact with him! Would definitely book again!

My cat Huckleberry LOVES Jenette. It may sound like a small thing but if you don’t provide compelling playtime, he won’t give you the time of day. Jenette really puts in the work with him and he has a great time with her. Can’t say enough good things. Jenette is the BEST!

Andrea was an incredibly responsive and attentive cat sitter! She stepped in during a time of need and truly went above and beyond my expectations. I felt completely at ease knowing my cat was in such caring hands. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate sitter.

Sadi was so kind and thorough and had wonderful communication. I felt so comfortable leaving my animals in her care. I came back from a long trip and my Malio was so happy, he didn't even mind I was gone because Sadi was so good to him! Will definitely book again.

Alyssa took great care of our house and cat while we were away for a week. She was a great communicator, friendly and trustworthy, consistent with timing of her visits, and took great pics of our kitty. She respected our home and made sure to lock up when she left. Thank you Alyssa!
