“Caitlin was so great!! She was super quick to respond and attentive to all of my cat’s needs. My cat is timid, but Caitlin was so patient and caring. Caitlin also made sure to send lots of photos and detailed reports. Would definitely recommend!”

“Thank you so much for taking care of my girl! I’m always so happy to book Kyra, I know my cat is in excellent hands with her! Kyra is so attentive and leaves such detailed notes about each visit. Would 10000% recommend!”

“Our sitters were easy to communicate with, and we felt comfortable knowing our cats were safe, well cared for, and happy. We came home to a clean house and content pets, couldn’t ask for more!”

“My pups ??(and Furby?) and I had a wonderful visit with Stefanie yesterday. We were all really happy! Such a blessing to have this opportunity to work Stefanie again in the future! Thank you so much! :)”
“Jonny did an excellent job of caring for our boy Royal. He gave us constant up dates even down to how many times he went to the bathroom. I really felt comfortable leaving Royal with Jonny he is so calm, cool, and collected I know it made our pup feel secure. Do not have any worries about your pet when they are in Jonny's care.”

“Jonathan has been a great drop-in sitter for my cat Mocha! It’s clear that he genuinely cares about animals, and I’ll definitely be booking him again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Tracy and Steven were awesome—our pets were clearly in great hands. They really took the time to bond with them, playing with our dog and giving lots of attention and cuddles to our cats. They showed up three times a day like clockwork and even grabbed a couple packages from the front door, which we really appreciated. The updates and photos after each visit were thoughtful and reassuring. It made a big difference not having to worry about our animal children while we were away. We’d definitely book them again.”

“Kelly is the absolute best. This was our first time on Rover, and her communications were clear and quick, and she did great work reassuring us that our pup was in good hands. Loved the photographs, and really appreciated the time she took to communicate with us by phone and by text. We’re only slightly concerned that our pup now likes her more than us! 😀 Hugely impressed with Kelly - she’ll take fab care of your pups.”

“Mary Ann recently cared for our two cats for the second time. Once again, we were thoroughly impressed with her service. She is incredibly attentive to our cats' needs and shows great care during her time with them. In addition to her care for our pets, she is very respectful of our home and consistently responsive in her communication. We truly appreciate her reliability and the peace of mind she provides while we are away.”

“Melissa was so sweet to our cat Hazel whom immediately took to her. Our road flooded and was closed due to a downed tree and she still came to feed her! I literally can't imagine someone nicer and more responsible.”

“Thomas is amazing with my dog. He helps me every week going in to walk him while everyone is at work. He’s become one of my dog’s best friends and couldn’t ask for anything more! Reliable and consistent!”

About: I’ve taken care of family pets since I was a pre-teen. People have always seen me as being so welcoming caring & warm to both cats and dogs. I have plenty of time in the afternoons for walks and drop in visits. The park is 10 minutes away (walking) and I have a fenced-in yard perfect for zoomies. I have a fenced yard, plenty of toys around my house, and 2 lovely parks within walking distance of my home! I live walking distance to both Nishuane Park and Colgate Park. I also have a beagle that’s 8mo old and she loves walks and loves to play. Junie would be over the moon to have another pup to play/walk with. Additionally, I have a large crate and beds of various sizes if needed. Finally, I have 2 extra leashes, so we are good to go. Your furbabies are in good hands with me. My sister and I are animal lovers, so we treat them as our own. Junie, our beagle, will provide great company as well. Go ahead and book 😌

“I was hesitant to use a new dog walker, but my experience with Natalie was very assuring and she was fantastic with my dog King! She was friendly, always on time for the walks, professional and very responsible. I feel so relieved now that I found another great Dog Walker. I highly recommend Natalie and look forward to using her in the future.”

About: Hi, I'm Steve. I've been walking dogs since 2017 and what started as something I enjoy has become something I truly love. I'm recently retired after running my own retail business for 25 years, so I bring a lifetime of responsibility, professionalism, and reliability to every dog I care for. I'm also an active person who enjoys staying fit and spending time outdoors and honestly, there's no better way to do that than with a great dog by my side! What I believe makes me different is that I personally engage with every dog I walk. I don't simply show up, walk around the block, and leave. I pay attention to each dog's personality, energy level, and individual needs. My goal is for every dog to come home happy, exercised, and well cared for. I'm extremely reliable and trustworthy, and I understand how important it is to feel comfortable putting your beloved pet in someone else's hands. I treat every dog with the same care and attention I would want for my own. And I love keeping owners in the loop! I regularly send photos from our walks, and one of my favorite things is hearing from owners about how much they enjoy seeing their dogs having fun. I'd love the opportunity to meet you and your dog and become someone you can count on. I'm available for dog walking and drop-in visits for dogs or cats, Monday through Friday between 8 am & 4 pm. I’m not usually available on weekends, however, if you’re in a bind and need a walk or a visit on a Saturday or a Sunday, and I have no plans that weekend, I most likely will be able to do it as long as it’s no later than 12 pm. For your dog's safety, dogs are prolific sniffers, inevitably putting things in their mouths that they shouldn't. I pay close attention to and keep a watchful eye on the ground to make sure your dog doesn't put anything in its mouth that can be harmful. In the unlikely event your dog or cat needs medical attention, I’m certified in cat and dog first aid by the American Red Cross.

“Brad was very responsive to a last minute request to let my dogs out when I couldn’t get back home in time to feed them. He fed them and let them out and hung out with them for awhile.”

Katie did an absolutely amazing job with our three kitties for a seven day trip. She sent us regular updates and followed all of the information we gave her! No issues when we returned home, and we would absolutely book her again when we take a trip out of town!

Hira did an amazing job at looking after our cat. She was very responsive and flexible. She was able to get our cat to play with her which is not an easy thing to do and administered medication. Our cat isn’t very social so this was huge. We will absolutely be rebooking with her !

This is my second booking with Nicole. I was out of town for 5 days and I felt completely relaxed and without a worry because Nicole was watching my pets. I highly recommend hiring Nicole - she is kind, patient, caring, professional, and just an overall great person!

Tirzah did an exceptional job taking care of my kitties. McLovin connected with her instantly, and she always played with him which he loves. Ms. Vanjie takes more time to get close to new people but Tirzah was patient and gave Vanj the space to come out and play when she was ready. I felt really good on my trip knowing our babies were safe and in good hands

Tracy and Steven were awesome—our pets were clearly in great hands. They really took the time to bond with them, playing with our dog and giving lots of attention and cuddles to our cats. They showed up three times a day like clockwork and even grabbed a couple packages from the front door, which we really appreciated. I was very happy with Jenny as my cat sitter. She was very thorough with feeding the kitties and took a lot of time to brush Sweetheart and give her lots of attention. Shadow even came out a few times, something she rarely does. Jenny did a great job keeping the litter pan clean and throwing away the garbage. She also brought my mail in. I received a nice note daily as well as several photos. I would recommend her highly.

Jonny did a wonderful job taking care of our two cats for a few days! There were no issues while we were gone and he kept us updated with photos and messages throughout the stay. Jonny’s calm demeanor provided enough safety for even our shyest cat to come out and interact with him! Would definitely book again!

My cat Huckleberry LOVES Jenette. It may sound like a small thing but if you don’t provide compelling playtime, he won’t give you the time of day. Jenette really puts in the work with him and he has a great time with her. Can’t say enough good things. Jenette is the BEST!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Verona. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
