About: I’ve grown up around dogs and cats throughout my entire life whether it was for working families, friends and neighbors in NJ! For a few years, I used to volunteer at the local animal shelter where I’d help bathe kittens, take their dogs outside and play with our furry friends seeking homes. Being around younger or older pets for years has allowed me to pick up signs and stay calm if accidents happen, whether your pet missed the litter box or regurgitated their meal. I’m always glad to help out where and when I can! I mostly work from home where I have a bit more control over my schedule. Early mornings or late evenings are always flexible! If I receive enough notice, I’m glad to accommodate your pets needs throughout the day on any weekday or weekends as well! I have prior experience being with a wide range of larger outdoor pets and smaller indoor pets who are cage trained or not. I’m glad to keep them company, spend time with their favorite toys and make sure they’re cleaned up after! From previous experience, I have a keen eye on a pets body language and can get a sense if some may need more space than others. However, I’ll always be accommodating if some pets need to let their energy out more than others! Similar to my own cat, on a daily basis, I make sure to set aside 30 minutes of play time with them in the day time and the evening to lessen the “zoomies”!
About: I have always been involved in pet care in my home for over 15 years. I have had experience with elderly dogs and cats of my own. I have pet-sitted in my neighborhood for puppies and for breeds different from my own dogs. I will use my energy to play with your pet and hopefully decrease their energy. Caitlin is great with my Selina. I was out of country for 16 days and had Caitlin spend an hour per day with Selina. Caitlin sent pics and an anecdote every day of her play with Selina, and even brought her an additional toy to play with (that she still loves, thank you!) Siara did an amazing job looking after our 2 cats for a week. On top of the usual (food, water, litter), she made sure to spend some time with cats and do what they wanted to do, be that brushing, playing, petting, or anything in between. She even got our very shy girl to warm up to her in just a couple of days! She was also super thoughtful and flagged an issue with automatic feeder that we missed and helped us ensure our cats were getting their meals dispensed on time. She also provides detailed reports and tons of pictures, and is great at prompt and timely communication. We hate leaving our cats home alone, but with Siara we felt they were well taken care of and would definitely book Siara again in the future!
