“Caitlin was so great!! She was super quick to respond and attentive to all of my cat’s needs. My cat is timid, but Caitlin was so patient and caring. Caitlin also made sure to send lots of photos and detailed reports. Would definitely recommend!”

“Eva was wonderful and took excellent care of my cats. She kept in contact with me, including sending photos. I didn’t worry at all and will definitely use her again in the future. Highly recommend!!”

“Michael was perfect for our needs! Our pup was recovering from being sick and we had to be gone for 5-6 hours. Normally he’s fine for that long but we wanted peace of mind and to give him a little company half way through. He’s great and our boy loved him!”

“Jonny was so sweet and patient with Suki! She is a senior dog so she has very particular eccentricities and needs someone who will give her time and patience and he did just that 😊 10/10 would recommend”

“Geoff is amazing with our puppy and very accommodating. Geoff’s gentle, patient and calm demeanor is exactly what our puppy needs and responds to best. In fact, we needed Geoff for a last minute drop in and he was able to accommodate our request despite his own busy schedule he was able to make it work. Working with Geoff is great and we’re going to continue working with him to care for our puppy. Thank you Geoff!!”

“I recently rescued a dog and decided to try Rover for the first time. I found Kyra, and she was fantastic! She walked and spent time with my dog, sharing plenty of photos along the way. It was a great experience, and I felt confident my dog was in good hands. I would definitely book with Kyra again!!”

“My pups ??(and Furby?) and I had a wonderful visit with Stefanie yesterday. We were all really happy! Such a blessing to have this opportunity to work Stefanie again in the future! Thank you so much! :)”
“Kelly is the absolute best. This was our first time on Rover, and her communications were clear and quick, and she did great work reassuring us that our pup was in good hands. Loved the photographs, and really appreciated the time she took to communicate with us by phone and by text. We’re only slightly concerned that our pup now likes her more than us! 😀 Hugely impressed with Kelly - she’ll take fab care of your pups.”

About: I’m a dog mom to 3 sweethearts: Sherlock (15-lb Shih Tzu rescue), Jessie (55-lb American pitbull rescue) and Sasha (40-lb mixed terrier rescue). They all are very reactive to different triggers (people, other dogs, cats, squirrels/wildlife, etc.), and they’ve taught me how to be a better parent. Puppo (18-lb Maltipoo), our 15-year old senior dog, crossed the rainbow bridge in August 2025. Taking care of Puppo for 2 years was a transformative experience - he even taught me how to age with dignity and grace. I work a full-time hybrid job (2 days remote) and Saturday (10:30-1pm), but my calendar will be as up-to-date as possible! I take your pets’ safety very seriously, and will ask questions during our meet-and-greets to ensure their safety under my care. Additionally, I’ll take pictures during walks and cuddles/playtime, and be as communicative as possible. As a dog mom who has used Rover many times, I understand what many parents need!
“Jonathan is the best. We have an older, extremely shy cat, who also has health issues. Two days before our trip we needed someone to watch her. We contacted Rover and he responded within 1/2 hour and that day he came over to meet us and Phoebe the cat. He came by every day and sent us video reports. I would highly recommend him. Phoebe was very happy too!!! Many thanks to him for caring so much for a little fur baby”

“Katie was a wonderful cat sitter! Our two girls were obviously well taken care of and loved! Previously when we would leave them we'd get a bit of the cold shoulder when we got home because they were mad at us for leaving, but not this time so obviously they really enjoyed spending time with Katie and her fiance. We got pictures every day, she was easy to communicate with and very reliable. We'll definitely ask Katie to come back again next time we're out of town!”

About: I’ve taken care of family pets since I was a pre-teen. People have always seen me as being so welcoming caring & warm to both cats and dogs. I have plenty of time in the afternoons for walks and drop in visits. The park is 10 minutes away (walking) and I have a fenced-in yard perfect for zoomies. I have a fenced yard, plenty of toys around my house, and 2 lovely parks within walking distance of my home! I live walking distance to both Nishuane Park and Colgate Park. I also have a beagle that’s 8mo old and she loves walks and loves to play. Junie would be over the moon to have another pup to play/walk with. Additionally, I have a large crate and beds of various sizes if needed. Finally, I have 2 extra leashes, so we are good to go. Your furbabies are in good hands with me. My sister and I are animal lovers, so we treat them as our own. Junie, our beagle, will provide great company as well. Go ahead and book 😌
“Tom showed up on time and quickly got acquainted with our doggies. Doggies warmed up to him quickly. He spent some time with them as we will need him for future visits. He seems to be truly caring for furry friends.”

“My cat Huckleberry LOVES Jenette. It may sound like a small thing but if you don’t provide compelling playtime, he won’t give you the time of day. Jenette really puts in the work with him and he has a great time with her. Can’t say enough good things. Jenette is the BEST!”

“Brad was very responsive to a last minute request to let my dogs out when I couldn’t get back home in time to feed them. He fed them and let them out and hung out with them for awhile.”

About: Having grown up on a farm and surrounded by various animals, my pet care experience is extensive and deeply ingrained. From nurturing newborn alpacas to handling our pets everyday needs, I have a wealth of knowledge in tending to their well-being. Additionally, having cherished pets of my own over the years has further honed my understanding of their unique requirements and behaviors. My background instills confidence in providing compassionate and skilled care for any furry or feathered companion that comes my way. As a software engineer with a wonderfully flexible schedule, pet care seamlessly integrates into my daily and weekly routine. My love for animals makes them an essential part of my life, and I prioritize their well-being with the same dedication I give to coding. Whether it's feeding my pets, taking them for refreshing walks, or engaging in playtime, I ensure they receive the attention and care they deserve. It's a win-win situation that keeps me both productive and connected to nature. Living on the second floor of a quiet community with a courtyard just outside my door and nearby woods, I provide attentive pet care both at home and for clients. In my home, I ensure pets have a comfortable and secure space to relax, whether it's a cozy pet bed or their own crate if preferred. Katie did an absolutely amazing job with our three kitties for a seven day trip. She sent us regular updates and followed all of the information we gave her! No issues when we returned home, and we would absolutely book her again when we take a trip out of town!

Hira did an amazing job at looking after our cat. She was very responsive and flexible. She was able to get our cat to play with her which is not an easy thing to do and administered medication. Our cat isn’t very social so this was huge. We will absolutely be rebooking with her !

This is my second booking with Nicole. I was out of town for 5 days and I felt completely relaxed and without a worry because Nicole was watching my pets. I highly recommend hiring Nicole - she is kind, patient, caring, professional, and just an overall great person!

Melissa took wonderful care of my cat, Tia! She was reliable, communicative, and sent thoughtful updates and photos throughout my trip, which gave me great peace of mind. Tia was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for when I got home. I highly recommend Melissa and will definitely book with her again!

Tirzah did an exceptional job taking care of my kitties. McLovin connected with her instantly, and she always played with him which he loves. Ms. Vanjie takes more time to get close to new people but Tirzah was patient and gave Vanj the space to come out and play when she was ready. I felt really good on my trip knowing our babies were safe and in good hands

Tracy and Steven were awesome—our pets were clearly in great hands. They really took the time to bond with them, playing with our dog and giving lots of attention and cuddles to our cats. They showed up three times a day like clockwork and even grabbed a couple packages from the front door, which we really appreciated. The updates and photos after each visit were thoughtful and reassuring. It made a big difference not having to worry about our animal children while we were away. We’d definitely book them again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
