“Geoff is amazing with our puppy and very accommodating. Geoff’s gentle, patient and calm demeanor is exactly what our puppy needs and responds to best. In fact, we needed Geoff for a last minute drop in and he was able to accommodate our request despite his own busy schedule he was able to make it work. Working with Geoff is great and we’re going to continue working with him to care for our puppy. Thank you Geoff!!”

“Michael was perfect for our needs! Our pup was recovering from being sick and we had to be gone for 5-6 hours. Normally he’s fine for that long but we wanted peace of mind and to give him a little company half way through. He’s great and our boy loved him!”

“Andy was an incredible sitter for our cat, Lincoln. He was highly responsive throughout the entire process, and he provided thorough check-in summaries with pictures, which really helped ease any concerns about our pet while out of town. Lincoln is not always the nicest to newcomers, and Andy did a great job navigating Lincoln’s defensiveness”

“Andrew is our go to person when I need someone to keep TIMO company’s especially during last minute requests! TIMO always enjoys play time with Andrew and always waits for him and greets him with a hello each time. If anyone needs a dependable person who is good with pets look to Andrew! Timo and I appreciate it!”

“My pups ??(and Furby?) and I had a wonderful visit with Stefanie yesterday. We were all really happy! Such a blessing to have this opportunity to work Stefanie again in the future! Thank you so much! :)”

About: I grew up with 3 Shiba Inus for close to 17 years and now have 2 cats of my own, Pepper Jack and Colbie Jacqueline. I have extensive experience with special needs dogs as my Shibas had varying disabilities ranging from mobility related to medication needing and eventually to doggy dementia. For around 4 years I worked at a high end pet resort/daycare. Though my main responsibility was taking photographs of the pets, I would assist with walking, grooming, and monitoring activities. While there, I had experience with animals of all ages. I continue to do freelance pet photography. As a recent MFA graduate, I am currently splitting my time between teaching classes/events at a ceramics studio and working within my own art studio. As my schedule varies and is very moveable, I can make myself available for you and your pets! When I come into your home, I will have the utmost care and respect for both the space itself and for your pets’ comfortability as a guest in their safe space.
“Kelly is the absolute best. This was our first time on Rover, and her communications were clear and quick, and she did great work reassuring us that our pup was in good hands. Loved the photographs, and really appreciated the time she took to communicate with us by phone and by text. We’re only slightly concerned that our pup now likes her more than us! 😀 Hugely impressed with Kelly - she’ll take fab care of your pups.”

“Dan was awesome! He really helped us out on short notice and over a holiday weekend! Great communication and pictures of the kitties. 10/10 would use Dan’s services again!”

I have also dog sat my brothers dog many times since he was a puppy.
“Elissa was great. She was friendly and asked a lot of questions during the meet and greet. During the drop in, she gave the pups good playtime outdoors and they ate well. Arya and Yoshi had no signs of stress when we arrived home.”

About: I loveee animals. I grew up with many pets from cute little bunnies, turtles, lizards, birds, dogs and everything in between. I’m very caring which will show in everything I do. Your babies will be my babies, I promise :) I currently work full-time as an elementary teacher. I’m available for boarding your babes on weekends, and weekdays after 4pm. Sometimes I’m off on holidays and I would board then as well. We will always have a great time. Your babe will be free to roam my apartment under my supervision, of course. I also have a large yard, but will keep him on a leash. I can also crate him or her if you prefer. Either way, we will have tons of fun together.
“We were away for 2 weeks, and Rivera had both our kitties eating from her hand - literally! They accepted brushing AND hand-fed treats, which they've never done for any other sitter. I'm impressed!”

“5 stars isn’t enough! Maryann is amazing! She treated our pup like one of her own. She kept us updated on each visit with food and walks and we truly enjoyed the pics and videos! She is kind and caring and was honestly so great with our girl!!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Clifton
Geoff took excellent care of our two cats, Dexter and DeeDee, while we were away on vacation for a week. He was reliable, followed all of our instructions, and kept us updated after each visit with photos and messages, which gave us great peace of mind. We came home to two happy, well-cared-for cats, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book Geoff again. Highly recommended!

Melissa took wonderful care of my cat, Tia! She was reliable, communicative, and sent thoughtful updates and photos throughout my trip, which gave me great peace of mind. Tia was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for when I got home. I highly recommend Melissa and will definitely book with her again!

Christina was incredible with my cat! She was very thorough, caring, and treated my cat as if she were her own. Christina went above and beyond, even spending extra time with her most days. She also made sure my apartment stayed clean and provided constant pictures and feedback. I felt so grateful knowing that my cat was in such great care while I was very far away. When I returned, my cat was very calm and happy, which shows she remained relaxed while I was away!

Kaitlin went truly above and beyond for us. During this visit she wasn’t feeling well and couldn’t drive, yet instead of canceling, she arranged for a family member to bring her so our cats would still be cared for. We were incredibly grateful for the extra effort and thoughtfulness she showed. Kaitlin has demonstrated her dedication and commitment time and again, and we feel very lucky to have her caring for our cats. We trust her completely and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clifton. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
